    Bent-over row VS. Weighted Pullups

Form is learned by doing lots of reps. But not lots of reps in a row. anyone knows technique goes wrong when doing +10 reps on any exercise. If technique is the goal: 5 sets of 5 three times a week will do. Btw, use your aggressiveness in the gym, not on this board. You're not gaining...

    Bent-over row VS. Weighted Pullups

Rule number 1: the exercises that you hate the most, are the exercises that you should do. Rows are hard. Very hard. Not as hard as Squats or deadlifts, but definitely harder than an overhead press or bench press. The solution is not to substitute the exercise for an easier one. Rather keep...

Can someone explain why the abs are different?

The lower back is designed for stability, not mobility. You should never stretch it. You can decompress your vertebrae. But not stretching. Lower back pain is caused by weak abs & dormant glutes.

    seating or standing militart press

Can't resist chiming in when the topic is the Overhead Press. Seated vs. Standing Overhead Press -Standing works more muscles: back, legs, core, you need to stabilize the weight using your whole body. It's a full body exercise. -Seated easier, less muscles worked, good to give your lower...

Do the test. Try the Anabolic Diet. It's high in saturated fat (thus cholesterol). Do a blood test before/after. Instead of believing what studies, doctors,... say: experiment with your own body. It's only food, you're not going to die from it. Try a high saturated fat diet like the Anabolic...

Can someone explain why the abs are different?

Everybody will agree that it takes years to build experience. Best example is the beginner that can deadlift twice his bodyweight in a year thanks to good coaching. Hell if I'd knew what I know now, I would have avoid many injuries. Knowledge is power when applied. Don't tell people to stop...

    Weak back/slouching. Tips needed

Mark Rippetoe avocates shouders back & down and chest forward in that article. If you read the comments he phoned Dave Tate about it to ask why he says bar far from shins/shoulders forward. Check this also about pulling back on the deadlift.

    Anyone tried Bulgarian Tribulus?

Because people have a general attitude of "I want this & I want it now". But anybody serious into lifting weights knows that anything can be done but it takes time, lots of time. When looking back one year is nothing. But when looking towards it, one year is a lot. That's why supps work. I...

    different compound lift questions

I wrote a full article about it on my blog. It's not yet posted but here are some recommendations: Protect your shins: I wear long pants to deadlift/power clean & pull my socks up. Choose another bar: some bar have more aggressive knurling than others. Get closer to the bar & push...

    Dairy Products cause Acne !

Everytime I eat 500g cottage cheese, I wake up the day after with acne on my forehead/throat/chest. I don't do it for a week: no acne. Anything other food is kept the same. So yes dairy gives acne, maybe not to you, but if you got acne, do the test.
