Answer quick before i sign up for gym

if you do heavy squats and deads and standing presses with good form (note heavy and good form) very often you will get some degree of spinal compression, which is unavoidable just as sitting down and walking around compresses your spine. in that case, just do some hangs if you're that paranoid...

    Anyone have the Push-Up Pros?

ppl in my dorm have them. one perfect and one pro, rofl. i've tried them, and they are harder than the real pushup, but cannot compare to the bench press. i believe it has something to do with stabliziation as well as different parts of the pec being fired because of rotation and thus flaring of...

even more wonderful! i'll have to take a look at that bag my dad bought a few months back to see if it really is ground flax! tasted like it had other stuff in there too. how long would you keep ground flax, then? btw, are you in the states or uk?

    flax vs soy!

how wonderful. i'm guessing a blender wouldn't work too well with a bunch of seeds, surely they must sell ground flax by itself in bulk

what are your methods of measuring bf%?

i just wanted a simple way of keeping track of progress, so i know i'm getting somewhere after a month or so rather than blindly working out and assuming there is progress. for me, i find the pictures/mirror estimate simplest. curious about what other people like to do, too/

what are the ingredients in the shake for the shake+eggs? i know some people like to put in many things in there, such as pb, oats, fruit, etc. or are you referring to just whey+water? just out of curiosity, what's the purpose of the eggs, other than its anabolic effects? reduce absorption rate?

what are your methods of measuring bf%?

say you're trying to track progress on fat loss. how do you guys do it? some of the methods i hear mostly about are 1. estimating via pictures-hard for good estimates because of the lack of sufficient pictures for body types/%'s. 2. calipers-i haven't tried these but the error seems to be...

what exactly are in each of your shakes? because unless they are high in protein, i think 180g is an overestimate based on the whole foods

    nutrition for 1lb beef

i'm just going by the nutrition data. there are some very lean meats, that supposedly would taste rubbery after cooking, that are around 5g fat. i checked nutrition data as well as http://www.nutri-facts.com/ which gave similar results.

    nutrition for 1lb beef

? i was saying that it has 100g has around 25-30g protein? but that it also has some high fat content, which will greatly increase fat calories if high protein from beef is taken. anyways, i get how grilling will cause meat loss, but broiling? if you broil in a pan, everything would stay...

    nutrition for 1lb beef

ah, that makes sense about the raw/cooked. so no matter what i do, i cant get 25g protein out of 100g raw meat after cooking. does anyone know the difference between select and choice, and between separable lean and fat (which sounds like the fat is separated out...) and separable lean only?
