Looks do matter--but good looks in men aren't necessarily the decisive factor as they can be compensated for with personality and status. That is, so long as you're at least average. Of course, being good looking in addition to having decent status and personality is quite enviable.

I would say it's all about being comfortable with this person...just being able to talk around her instead of "making" conversation. You need to share some experiences...go see a scary movie or something.

What do you think of this book...if you've ever bothered to pick it up? It essentially teaches women "Rules" for catching a man to marry. Rules like "a woman should never pursue but allow herself to be pursued" etc. A lot of it seems fair considering the stuff masf and this forum teach men...
