Paul, formerly Saul, taught that to be a Christian you must strive for sterility and that Jesus was never married and never had a sexual thought. Really now... The Da Vinci Code I need to watch to see what all I missed (too busy when it came out). That's Christianity's problem following insane teachings that calls all things sexual bad. We must reproduce! Good Lord...

Paul didn't teach that, and The Da Vinci Code is fiction.

I know there can be a lot of friction between believers and atheists. And I know a lot of atheists on the internet take the stance that those who have a spiritual bent are simply "morons". I take exception to this as well, since the decision to believe or not believe in a "higher power" is mainly a philosophical question, a way to view life, as opposed to a scientific one. I would prefer that the discussion not degenerate in that direction.

The problem with this is that the religious are not simply constructing abstract concepts or philosophical ideas. They are making tangible statements, statements that can be and often are demonstrably false.

Lastly, I'm noting the title of this thread. I hope Warrior's intent was not to imply that ALL "religious" guys are men shamers and pvssy beggars, because I certainly don't believe that to be the case. However, the church as an institution has suffered from feminization, along with the rest of mainstream culture, as Rollo has noted.

I know there can be a lot of friction between believers and atheists.
Of course not all muslims are terrorist and 'not all women are like that',and not ALL christian men are manginas. But enough are to notice.

You can not argue with a xtian about creation myths and expect them to be rational, its a waste of time to even trying. But they are usually very steady realists when it comes to human nature, I think because they tend to expect always the worse from people. I went to church a lot, and still go sometimes, and you know what, at least those people can keep their marriages.

VERY illuminating video on religion. Even when I was younger in my teens I kind of suspected it was along these lines.

I'd wager 95% of the population are ***** beggars... religious or not. hell I was at a party with a couple acquaintances of mine and anytime a woman showed a spark of interest at anything they start tryin to amog and sit there staring at her with ****in doe eyes. I recall one point where I was sitting looking at them and there is this chick on the couch, mind you I know this chick and she is taken, not that she cares anyways.

I am sitting on the floor looking at this situation, girl is trying to get my attention, hanging on me and ****, I am not interested. But about 5 other dudes were gathered around for sure trying to get her attention just staring at her, slouching...mentally drooling. I just wanted to get up and smack em like wtf are you doing?:box:

Buncha goddamned slack jawed faggots around here =P

Religion is propaganda that excuses the social hierarchy and wraps it in layer after layer of mystique to keep the lower orders baffled, passive, and submissive.

I can't help but note that most religions have been started by males, however.

If you think about it, in a way you really need to have tighter game if you are very religious.

Everyone is quick to look at the 30 year old woman who is trying to find jesus and think that it's easy pickins for a life long AFC. Adn there is a lot of truth to that, however there is one thing that isn't touched up upon, and to me this is the biggest difference between Christan girls and non christian girls, assuming that all else being equal they are decent enough omen with normal morals, is that non christian women, are forced to face the music in regards to their actions and decisions in a way that christian women don't have to. A Christan woman can explain whatever **** up's she's committed to Satan or god's plan lol. nothing you can do about it? Had a gangbang when you were out of town? Satan was tempting me and I failed, but i asked for forgiveness now so it's all good come here and give me a kiss lol.
Divorce and remarriage are treated more strictly in scripture than someone who has a bad past (i.e. has been a prostitute, porn star, etc...) and repented from that. Jesus has said that if a man marries a woman that has been divorced, that both he and the divorced woman are committing adultery - no exceptions. Paul says that if a woman who is divorced re-marries while her husband is alive, then she shall be called an adultress.

So, Biblically speaking, it is better if one was to marry a repentant and born-again ex-porn star or prostitute, than anyone who was married before because you would not be committing adultery with them in that marriage.

There are testimonies on youtube where a woman divorced a husband in a successful marriage of 17 years and where they had a son because she felt that she was committing adultery with her husband:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wykwG3cNMo

I broke up with my girlfriend because I believed she was still married to her (ex) even though she was divorced and found out her (ex) was a pastor of a church who tried to reconcile her back into marriage but she refused. I redirected her back to her ex and went ghost on her. We were also perfectly happy together and planning to get married. I broke off the engagement.

Was a ***** for pretty much my entire life before i met you? i was out of touch with god, i'm not out of touch anymore so you can't hold that **** against me anymore. lol what the hell can you tell a christian single mom who is 27 and has a 6 year old when she says it was god's plan for me to have the baby.
As long as she did not marry before then there is no problem with that. It's only if she's married before then she's an adultress. You can repent of anything, but not a former marriage. The only way to repent of that is to reconcile with the former spouse or remain unmarried.

That's why I said, if I married a woman that was an ex-porn star, or ex-prostitute that slept with 1000 guys, it's better than someone who married someone once and divorced.

What people don't understand is that Jesus takes away the sins of people, no matter how great they are, if they are sincere and turn away from their sins. So a woman who claims this and sounds sincere has a valid point in this religion. You would be "judging" her.

But remember this, if you steal $ 1000, you can't repent without returning the money. You can't repent of an unlawful marriage. The law also forbids a woman to return to her former husband that divorced her in the first place (Deut 24). Best thing, just marry one person once, for life, who has never married before. Otherwise you may be committing adultery and don't know it.

I'm not saying that non christian woman are BETTER, but beucase they for the most part, don't have the faith that christian women have, they are at the very least, they have to answer some questions about how they played the part of their own behavior. they have to own up to it and at the very least admit they ****ed up, not satan or god's plan or anything like that.

Like my mom to this day, is ****ing selfish beyond belief. and she will say things ilke "well that's the devil working on me but I'm praying for help' and i'm like dammit that's YOU lol. You can stop being selfish whenever you feel like it. She doesn't have to own her actions.

But we men, always hold them accountable for their irresponsible actions. This is why I broke up with my gf the minute I found out she disrespected her ex-, walked out on him, nearly destroyed his ministry, and then use me as a pawn to scapegoat her actions and bury him by marrying me. Did not let that happen.

Again, divorce and re-marriage = adultery in the Bible. Anything else can be repented of and forgiven, but not that. You have to stay married with whomever you marry for life, period. End of story.

No, Paul said to avoid fornication let every man have a wife (1 Cor 7:2).

He also said it is better to marry than to burn (1 Cor 7:9).

He discouraged seeing "prostitutes" if one is not married and burning.
(1 Cor 6:16).

Paul, like most DJ's, will discourage guys from taking the easy-way out to get laid and use prostitutes. Most people on here probably agree, that prostitutes, not a good thing. But, hey, to each their own.

Paul is saying it's better to marry than to masturbate and look at porn.

I don't see anything wrong with this teaching.

If you aren't married though then that could lead to some serious issues on how you can interpret this text though.

A local Methodist church is again this year hosting a Halloween party for children.

Say again? Isn't Halloween the epitome of blasphemy? Leave it to Protestants to shoot themselves in their own feet. One store (owned by a Protestant) advertises that its chocolate is "heavenly," while next door they're selling "Sinfully delicious" whatever. Sure they're conflating -- the Seven Deadly Sins is technically a misnomer -- but you get the point. The rise of national churches coincided with the rise of modern, mercantile nation-states. Endless factionalization and splintering from the Church coincided with its growing inconvenience to a class that's hell-bent on never fitting their camel-sized wallets through the eye of a needle. A gleaming mega-church isn't the Christian Church. It's the end product of the self-castrating parody of the Church. One bishop told me that he thinks the Church will soon have just a small niche following, sort of like the early Christians in the Roman Empire. I get the feeling that the Church is already that way, plus attendance by a lot of cattle who turn around and take their kids trick-or-treating.
You do not understand that this is the Leodician church age. (Revelation 3)

This is the last of the 7 churches before the end.

I will tell you all a mystery of the end.

First -- Rev 3:16 -- is talking about this church. It was a church in Western Turkey -- now in ruins. It said it was wealthy, yet it was poor. The name of the church means "democracy" or rule by the majority. The name points to our decadent culture here. It is the last of the 7 before the end.

Second - the last pope is now sitting according to the prophecy of Saint Malachi before the end.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophecy_of_the_Popes

The last pope, before Peter the Roman is sitting.

You write about this society without understanding that this is the last of the 7th age.

So . . . is any writing automatically invalid if it doesn't express such?

I can tell you're that guy.... I see it right here with your posts in this forum.

I'll be honest with you.... I feel like the God I worship has little to do with most churches of today. Now please note, I'm not judging the heart of anyone who goes to church. Please understand that. All I know is the collective result of what I see -- and the modern-day institutions known as churches have failed at teaching practical guidelines for living to men, women and children alike. The most successful of churches today are nothing more than a feel-good dose of spiritual drugs, with the pastor basically being a cheer-leading "life coach."
Then you agree with this guy?
