Do these really work? If so, does anyone have examles of a profile & emails that actually got some kind of response?

I've tried these things for like a month, and out all the emails I sent out, I only got 3 back. And it turned out one was a guy and the other two were porno websites disguised as members of date.com.

This is too damn difficult - even online. When I didn't care, I never got any girls at all, and now when I do care I still have nothing. **** trying to be a DJ, how about something just to meet one ****ing girl.

Personally, I am against this form of dating;...you miss out on the approach; and also the highs and lows of success and rejection respectively.

Don't just date online!

There's a thread in the Tips forum about match.com that will give you some insight.

Also, don't just do the online thing. It is more important to be approaching outside of your room!

That said once you become comfortable talking to women in public the online thing can be another way to get your face out there. And it can be very effective.

As Bud Wiser says in the other forum the hbs get literally hundreds of responses immediately after posting their ad. So how are you going to stand out from the avalanche of loser e-mails these girls are getting?

And don't give up just yet. I'm 42 and have been an AFC all my life until I read a book and found this site. I'd kill to have had this info when I was 18 but am not gonna piss and moan because I'm only beggining to change in my 40's.

If they mention something they like to to do I try to ask them about that, so I'll include something like,

You're a collage student? what are you studying?

What about that seems so desperate. What else can you say to a complete stranger you don't know anything about? I've sent like 50 emails or so, and gotten 0 back.

I did read that thread, but it assums you can somehow magically get a response and arrange a meeting in the first place.

Nearly all the advice on this site assumes you are capable of meeting a girl in the first place. That's why I can't get anywhere, I'm stuck before I get to step 1.
I haven't even had the chance to be an AFC.
