There really isn't any managing it. A person will tell you who they are within the first month you know them. Almost always. Believe them. Always. They are telling you the truth.

If there are significant red flags, you walk away and start again with a new person. There are women out there that will be worth your time. It's a lot easier to find them if you aren't wasting 2.5 years on someone you already knew was probably going to go sideways at some point...

Keep the others for cvm shooting target practice if you must while continuing to look, but don't allow them to fool you into believing anything will be different .
