1 can of tomatoes is not a meal .. add a protein and fat source to this and you're good to go.

Yes sir I take my fish oil twice a day.

I didn't make it to the gym today due to family obligations.

Double time tomorrow.

Meal 1 - turkey slices and peanut butter

meal 2 - pot roast, coffee

Off to work in an hour then to the gym at 0500.

You don't need the double time, it doesn't work like that. 10g fish oil is a good start but I would recommend you doubled the dose at some point.

As of Monday we'll start you on a structured training plan.

It's not easy to suddenly change habits after 30+ years. I know even at my age it took me a few months to get eating habits down.

Karma, just make sure that whenever you go out and buy tomatoes again, be conscious of what you're going to eat them with.

Whenever i buy tuna, I know that that isn't enough(too clean), so I make sure to buy the right amount of cottage cheese at the same time. Then whenever I eat tuna, I coat it with cottage cheese. protein + fat OR protein + carbs should constitute all of your meals. Carbs + fat is a surefire way to gain bodyfat. Protein by itself gets used by the body as a fuel source, and thus doesn't get pumped into the muscles.

When u eat pro. + carbs, the body can more easily break down carbs, so it uses them for energy and the protein gets stored. Same thing with dietary fats.

Remember, make sure whenever you put any food into ur piehole, it always contains protein+carb or protein+fat.

Which is why I'm eating tons of natural peanut butter. Loads of fat and protein.

I'm feeling very lethargic this morning going into tonight. I've slept for almost 11 hours today which is highly abnormal for me. If I get more than 6 hours of sleep I'm worthless but today I just feel horrible.

My bloodsugar is at a nice 100 though :rockon:

My stomach felt like I was going to give birth to a bowling ball so I haven't really eaten today. However:

Meal 1 - ham slices and shredded cheese with a jell-0 cup.

Meal 2 - Mrs. K picked up some hot wings (naked) so I'll eat those if my stomach gets better.

No man! I'll eat a couple of tablespoons twice a day or so. Jesus, who the fvck could eat a jar of peanut butter everyday? That's a fvcking brickmaker worse than morphine.

My take is eat your veggies and nuts/seeds.

1-2lbs of green veggies a day will give you a host of goodness (and a big metabolism boost) as well as the fibre.

The only fibre supplement I like is Benefibre as it's about the only one I know of with no added sugar/carbs (like Metamucil). But it's best to get your fibre from whole foods.

fwiw, if you go to www.whfoods.com and type in 'insulin' in the search box, you will get a list of foods that have natural insulin-regulating properties. I have read about third-world diabetics too poor to afford insulin who have been able to regulate their blood sugar by eating a lot of cinammon.

I just bought 2 jars of real organic ground cinnamon so I'll give that a try too. I take cinnamon capsules every day with my pills but haven't really seen any significant gain.

last night / this morning

meal 3 - chicken thighs, green beans with bacon

meal 4 - jell-o cups.


This morning

meal 1 - 4 eggs, sauage patties with meunster cheese.

meal 2 - sf pudding cup

meal 3 - turkey rollups w/meunster cheese

meal 4 - hamburger w/ okra, tomato and squash

meal - baby brussell sprouts.

I pulled a 14.5 hour day yesterday so I was a zombie.

Slept all day today and will be in the gym at 0705.

Also I upped my fish oil intake to 15 grams per day for a week then I'll increase it again.

Blood sugar has not gotten over 145 in 13 days.
