My blood sugar:

It continues to stabilize but now and again it drops real fast and real hard.

Two evenings ago it dropped to a dangerous 59. There was candy all over from Halloween but I didn't bite. I had a banana and some peanut butter. Took a little longer to recover but I felt better. I don't want junk anymore. No bread, no rice, no pasta (even the low carb). Nothing.

For all of you brothers who are in my spot and stage in life:

START A FVCKING JOURNAL!

It will enhance your mindset and provide structure and discipline. It keeps me accountable for what I do and what goes in my piehole.

This is going on my third week of low (very low) to no carb living and it truly does get much more livable the more your mentality adjusts.

I love it.

Today

meal 1 - 4 eggs and bologna, coffee.

I still feel sh!tty but I'm going to try and get some yardwork done while the weather is good. If I get sick I'll be close to safety.

meal 2 - some leftover tequila lime wings

meal 3 - burned hot dogs in meat chili

Going to go sleep this sh!t out of my system.

Is it because I'm flooding my system with all kinds of stuff that's good for me that I'm feeling so sh!tty? I think it's the drastic change in Florida weather but I'm open to suggestions.

You're doing great man, but that food isn't necessarily good for you. Sure it's better than your diet before, but hotdogs and chicken wings are packed with stuff that I wouldn't exactly call healthy.

The ****ty feeling could just be your body reacting to your new lifestyle, remember the human body resists change like a mofo, and loves homeostasis. As long as you're doing the right things, then trust that the crappy feeling will go away once your body's adapted to your new lifestyle.

Is that all you're eating, hotdogs and chicken wings? I'd throw lots of vegetables and other good stuff in, as you can tolerate it.

I'll throw you a link to my daily diet, it hasn't changed much except for getting rid of cauliflower and adding esparagus.

here it is:

meal 1 - ground chuck and okra

meal 2 - turkey slices

I'm really trying to incorporate more green stuff into my daily meals.

I bought cauliflower and broccoli and green beans yesterday.

Karma - jello, spinach and brussel sprouts are not meals. Add a protein source to these and fats and you should be okay. You're a big guy and not eating very many calories. If you feel ****ty on low carb increase your fats - you should feel awesome on low carb if you eat enough calories.

Quik - chicken wings are fine, hotdogs less so but as long as they're mostly protein/fat (the additives are not healthy though).

I like green veggies and I'll do more to add them to my regimen daily. Mrs. K went to Sams Club and bought huge bags of wings and hot dogs so that's why I've been eating a lot of those. She's really doing her part to help me stay strong and keep focus.

Thanks Quik.

It's finding the right fats to add that seems to be my problem. My appetite is nothing compared to what it used to be and I'm not hungry as before either.

What fats do you suggest? Olive oil, butter? I use a sh!tload of both.

Higher fat diets satiate you much better hence your lack of hunger (along with your blood sugar control). It's a good sign.

Fats can be olive oil, butter, nuts, nut butter, fatty meats, fatty fish, whole eggs, olives, higher fat dairy products (no milk), avocado..

10-4. I go through a jar of peanut butter a week. And I'm going to pickup a container of almonds tonight to snack on while I'm at work.

dude, you have to start logging this stuff.

along with your 6 meals, keep some sort of idea of how much peanut butter you eat every day - don't go measuring the spoonfuls with a scale but if you're taking in 4 tbsp of pb a day say for example, that's a significant amount of calories.

keep with what you're eating now, don't cut anything out but DO log everything. that way we can troubleshoot best.

also where are the workouts/cardio?

I've been lax on the gym for about 5 days because I'm getting over a bug or virus and I've been pretty worthless. I tried to get some yardwork done the other day but I had to stop. I still have the aches and sniffles but I'm taking all of my gym gear to work and I'll shoot for going at 0500 tomorrow after work.

The last thing I want is to be in a mid-squat and spray sh!t or puke all over the place.
