Thank you brother. Sincerely.Mr.Positive said:Hey Karma, great job. Just a little support, you have a lot of people here rooting for you. You can achieve anything you put your mind too.
Oh, and for a healthy low-carb snack tip, try all-natural real peanut butter and celery (my fav, I had to at least contribute something that hasn't already been said.)
Keep up the good work!!
That's sign of your blood sugar stabilising which is good. energy drinks and a high carb diet are a vicious circle, just like caffeine and high carb..KarmaSutra said:I don't need energy drinks anymore either.
Pitas are history. Lettuce wraps are a great idea, thank you.Warboss Alex said:That's sign of your blood sugar stabilising which is good. energy drinks and a high carb diet are a vicious circle, just like caffeine and high carb..
Who said low carb pitas were on the menu? Lose them for now. Use lettuce to wrap food in.
Keep your training higher rep for now, we want to prepare your joints for training, not destroy them with triples and fives. Doesn't matter if you just lift the bar, weights will come.
By the way - great start to your journal, you're being very consistent in logging everything.
Two things - first you must add some meals in, for 5-6 a day. Don't have to be huge meals. Eat by the clock and not hunger.
Second I see lots of meat and cheese in your diet which is great but you MUST balance these with olive oil (other mono fat sources are great but OO is about the only thing you can take in huge amounts and have no problems).
What supplements are you on right now?
Adding a touch here and there isn't 'plenty'.. whenever you have a salad, dump one tablespoon of OO on it with lemon juice. If there's any left over in the empty bowl drink it up. It is imperative that you eat enough fatsKarmaSutra said:Pitas are history. Lettuce wraps are a great idea, thank you.
I'll spread my meals more thoroughly. And I do eat olive oil. Whenver I eat fish I saute' it in olive oil and butter (damn tasty!).
I add a touch of olive oil and smart choice butter to my veggies so I think I get plenty.
Supplements I'm taking now are:
Fish oil 1000mg 4xday
81mg aspirin 2xday (for my ticker)
I have a cabinet full of sh!t but don't know what's safe to take?
Calcium tabs?
Real peanut butter is hard to find. I get mine at trader joe's. If you look at the ingredients, there should only be two: peanuts and salt.KarmaSutra said:Peanut Butter has a lot of sugar added should I really be eating that?
Heh.. Join the club.KarmaSutra said:I fell asleep during the 4th inning of the Sox game then awoke during the 6th in a pool of sweat and shaking. My sugar had bottomed out to 70. I ate 3 bananas, a handful of grapes and some sugar free vanilla pudding to get it up to par.
This is one of the dangers of being diabetic.
So I guess peanut butter with vegetable oil and dextrose is also out of the question?Mr.Positive said:Real peanut butter is hard to find. I get mine at trader joe's. If you look at the ingredients, there should only be two: peanuts and salt.
KarmaSutra said:I am eating every 2-3 hours. I still need to take my meds which I believe because I am taking in a miniscule amount of carbs is affecting the plummet in my blood sugar.
I think I'll cut my Glucovance in half to one tab bid.
Eating some lettuce, turkey, ham and cheese wraps then off to workout.
