Karma, karma, karma. I don't know about the other guys but I'm sure most of them don't take eggs fully raw on there own, I wouldn't be for that either.
I mix them in a pint glass with cream and down it.

Saturday:

My internet was fvcked up so I couldn't update.

Here it is:

breakfast - sausage patties and 4 eggs.

Lunch I had 2 burned hot dogs and spinach.

Went to the gym and did squats
1x10 145
3x5 235 (added 10 pounds per set)

seated shoulder presses
4x100

Decline bech presses
3x100

I then did 15 minutes of cardio on the new Treadmaster. Kicked my ass. It's a hybrid treadmill/stairmaster. Gold's closed at 2000 so I split.

Dinner - ham and turkey breast w/ cheese in low carb / flax seed pitas.

Dessert was 2 cups of sugar free jell-o.

I fell asleep during the 4th inning of the Sox game then awoke during the 6th in a pool of sweat and shaking. My sugar had bottomed out to 70. I ate 3 bananas, a handful of grapes and some sugar free vanilla pudding to get it up to par.

This is one of the dangers of being diabetic.

Hey Karma, great job. Just a little support, you have a lot of people here rooting for you. You can achieve anything you put your mind too.

Oh, and for a healthy low-carb snack tip, try all-natural real peanut butter and celery (my fav, I had to at least contribute something that hasn't already been said.)

Keep up the good work!!
Thank you brother. Sincerely.

I just picked up a jar of smart balance peanut butter and it is damned tasty!

I'll pick up some celery too.

As an aside, I feel as if things are changing mentally for me doing all of this work. I suppose balancing my insulin/sugar is clearing up my head too.

I don't need energy drinks anymore either.

That's sign of your blood sugar stabilising which is good. energy drinks and a high carb diet are a vicious circle, just like caffeine and high carb..

Who said low carb pitas were on the menu? Lose them for now. Use lettuce to wrap food in.

Keep your training higher rep for now, we want to prepare your joints for training, not destroy them with triples and fives. Doesn't matter if you just lift the bar, weights will come.

By the way - great start to your journal, you're being very consistent in logging everything.

Two things - first you must add some meals in, for 5-6 a day. Don't have to be huge meals. Eat by the clock and not hunger.

Second I see lots of meat and cheese in your diet which is great but you MUST balance these with olive oil (other mono fat sources are great but OO is about the only thing you can take in huge amounts and have no problems).

What supplements are you on right now?

Pitas are history. Lettuce wraps are a great idea, thank you.

I'll spread my meals more thoroughly. And I do eat olive oil. Whenver I eat fish I saute' it in olive oil and butter (damn tasty!).

I add a touch of olive oil and smart choice butter to my veggies so I think I get plenty.

Supplements I'm taking now are:

Fish oil 1000mg 4xday
81mg aspirin 2xday (for my ticker)

I have a cabinet full of sh!t but don't know what's safe to take?

Calcium tabs?

Adding a touch here and there isn't 'plenty'.. whenever you have a salad, dump one tablespoon of OO on it with lemon juice. If there's any left over in the empty bowl drink it up. It is imperative that you eat enough fats

Smart balance pb and butter suck.. get the fullfat kind.

With fish oil go with 15g a day which we will increase to 30 over time.

Why do you have supplements you don't know if they're safe or not?

Calcium is a good supplement even though you should be getting enough from cheese or green veggies. 1000mg is fine for now

I should have clarified when I said safe. What I mean is I have a bunch of stuff which may or may not be suitable to take right now.

I have loads of Nitrix, Thermonex, Niox, Lipo 6 ( I work in the trucking business and get stuff "cheap").

Should I be taking these now?

And I'm going all out with the butter and olive oil. I'll put the sh!t on cereal if I have to :cuss: !

Peanut Butter has a lot of sugar added should I really be eating that?

Getting the nutritional part of my life down will help me out in the long run.

Thanks Warboss, always remember I help those who help me.

Save the thermos for later on, right now just changing your dieting and training habits will help you lose fat just fine.

You can't put butter on cereal as you don't eat cereal, remember?

I meant peanut butter with no sugar added, of course.

Real peanut butter is hard to find. I get mine at trader joe's. If you look at the ingredients, there should only be two: peanuts and salt.

Heh.. Join the club.

The good when having a healthier lifestyle your sugar is under control as well but you gotta watch out at first or this is gonna happen often till your body adjusts itself with the new lifestyle. I almost had this happen every night when I first started a few months back until I minimized my insulin shots up to the point where I didn't need any, especially at night. If all your meals are protein and fat based you're hardly gonna need any insulin. Not sure if you're taking insulin shots at type 2 but if you are hold back on the it.

So I guess peanut butter with vegetable oil and dextrose is also out of the question? :D

I just did cardio yesterday, about an hour.

Breakfast - 4 eggs scrambled with some sprinkled cheese on it. 4 sausage patties. Cup of coffee w/ splenda and half n half.

Going to the gym in a little while.

Oh and one other thing,

Dinner last night:

2 thick pork chops with all of the delicious fat and spinach. Dessert was 1 sugar free chocolate pudding and 2 sf jell-o cups.

An hour later I'm watching tv and my sugar bottoms out. I checked and my sugar was 71 and dropping. Had 2 bananas, handfull of grapes and half an apple. The Mrs. tried to get me to eat some apple sauce but as soon as I read "high fructose corn syrup" I shooed it away.

Breakfast today

cup of coffee w/splenda and hnh.
ham slices

I'm not too hungry so I'll probably have a pork chop in a couple of hours.

Try dropping the sf stuff for a while.

edit: also eat more frequently. eating 6 times a day will provide a more stable bloodsugar (I've told you this before)

I am eating every 2-3 hours. I still need to take my meds which I believe because I am taking in a miniscule amount of carbs is affecting the plummet in my blood sugar.

I think I'll cut my Glucovance in half to one tab bid.

Eating some lettuce, turkey, ham and cheese wraps then off to workout.

Would make sense would it not? The meds are to bring the insulin into the proper thresholds I believe. Because of the absence of carbs your blood sugar stays in those limits and in effect you taking the meds is like a normal guy taking them and forcefully lowering their blood sugar to unsafe levels. Just a hypothesis...Are you not only meant to take the meds if you're blood sugar is out of control? Which would happen when you have carbs, but isn't happening because you aren't! Could be wrong, but just a thought,

Quagmire

Squats
3x8 235

Leg press
1x10 315
2x8 405

I've always had a good, sturdy trunk on my tree.

Decline bench press
3x10 100

Standing bicep curls
3x8 40 (last to failure about 13 reps)

For dinner it will be homemade cheeseburgers and broccoli.

I've also decided to weigh myself only on the last day of the month. I'll let you guys know what it is at 00:01.
