This sums it up so well. Lifting weights and working out never changes the face
That's not necessarily true. Your face tends to look better/more attractive when you are leaner compared to when you have a higher body fat percentage. You'll have a more defined jawline, cheekbones, etc. You'll also find that when you are fit and active you generally eat better and are overall healthier, which means your skin will look healthier as well. I don't really know how to explain this one but you probably understand what I'm describing here, people that are overall healthier tend to have a glow to them.

Granted, actual face shape is determined by genetics but body fat definitely plays a role. Being excessively lean does not look good either though.

Yo, if you are 6'3" and 300 pounds you are fat. I don't care how much you lift or how you've been going to the gym, you are fat.

I'm 6'4" and around 235 and one of the fittest guys at any gym I'll go to as a natural who never touched steroids. You literally have about 60 pounds on me, there is absolutely no way that you are not obese. You probably hold it relatively well though because you have above-average muscle mass. You could probably get down to 250 and still have weight to lose.
A couple of things here..

First off, we all (should) know; muscle weighs more than fat.

There is nothing wrong with being overweight, just as long as it is the right excess of weight.

The obesity problem we have in America (almost 42%) is not because people are walking around with excess muscle...it is because they are walking around with excess fat...you know, the bad stuff...the stuff that can kill you.

And like I said, more than likely, I am clinically obese (that's what the doctors say) but I do not LOOK like it and I hold it well.

It is a FACT that weight training burns fat and builds muscle (along with proper nutrition), so the excess fat that I'm holding is in the process of getting burned off.

Second, you and the doctors can call it fat or obese, but the compliments I get on a day-to-day basis says otherwise.

The compliments I receive speak for themselves, and it is not because I am 6'3 guy lugging around a bunch of fat.

It is because I put in the work and my body is proof of it.

When you do great things, people will take notice and tell you about it.

What are some of your fitness/lifting numbers that you do regularly
I do all upper body (neglectful of abs).

4 sets of 12 on everything.

6 muscle groups.

1. Chest
2. Shoulders
3. Biceps
4. Triceps
5. Back
6. Trapezius

For example...today was.

A. Chest
B. Shoulders
C. Trapezius

I would normally skip a day in between. So typically, I wouldn't be going to the gym tomorrow because I went today...but I plan on going tomorrow and resting on Tuesday.

So tomorrow will be..

A. Biceps
B. Triceps
C. Back

I do 3 to 4 exercises for each muscle group.

Lifting heavy.

, I'm not talking one rep max stuff.
Me either.

I am on a journey towards 315 on the bench press.

I worked my way up to 285 lbs, which I rep 12x for the first set.

The second set (as of today), I was able to rep 9x until I reached muscle failure.

Those 9x is actually an increase from the 7x I was able to do the last time.

It isn't until I am able to do two FULL sets of 12x that I will increase the weight by 10lbs, which will put me at 295lbs.

When I graduate to 295 lbs, I will attempt to hit 315 at least once...even though I can probably hit it once now.

1% (or less) of the population can hit 315 once.

So I will be among very small company.

Actually, I just read an article that if you can rep 225 lbs 11-13 times, then you should be able to hit 315 once.

225 is light weight at this point, considering I can hit 285 twelve times.

Are you able to do a chinup/pullup?
I don't rock with pullups.

Are you able to go hiking or is it too painful on your body or do you struggle with breathing?
I don't rock with cardio.

To put this into perspective, I have a resting heart rate in the low 50s, as I'm very aerobically fit. I also am doing volume work on chin ups with an extra 35 pounds added to my bodyweight and 70 pounds added with dips. I'm doing volume work on sled pulls for 25 yards with 550 pounds, etc.
That is good for you, and what your goals are.

Ok, so you are a fat guy that lifts. You are still obese, I see this **** all the time at the gym and it's not impressive. You are OUT of shape and would be better off losing weight. If you maintain this you are putting yourself at risk for early death and an entire host of various diseases.

You don't have excess muscle, in fact you probably don't even have much more than most guys that lift.

One can lift weights well and be fat. I was for a few years. My diet was shyt but I hit the gym regularly. So I had muscle but also gut fat and fat about the organs. Wasn't until I chose a more balanced and natural diet that the fat started to burn off (along with some muscle).

Point is I was kidding myself that it would all convert to muscle in time. I couldn't out lift a bad diet.

There are professional athletes who have been around 6'4" and 230-235 lbs who have used steroids. It's impressive that you are hitting that without steroids.

It is also impressive that you keep an intense fitness routine without regular vaginal access. A lot of men who aren't getting vagina regularly give up and check out of mainstream culture.

So instead of addressing a third of what I said, you ignored it all just to call me fat.

Tsk, tsk.

The fact of the matter is this, I probably receive more compliments on my physique in a week than you've received in your entire life.

No bullsh!t.

I would not trade my body for yours, no matter how healthy you are or how unhealthy you believe I am.

I would not trade my workout regimen for yours, because I doubt your workout regimen will have people staring at me as they pass by in their cars as I walk boldly down the street.

Based on the attention that I've been receiving, I do not need any advise from you or any slightest recommendation...because nothing you've accomplished at the gym or anything you've done over the course of your little fitness journey is getting you anywhere near what I've been getting and will continue to get.

Didn’t read the thread but a few years ago I went heavy into gym and diet. Got myself to 180lbs with 10% body fat. Had a personal trainer help me. Anyhow was a virgin and remained so. Meanwhile my skinny brother gets hot chicks. So I don’t buy the narrative

Some of you guys are just doomed to be failures in life, apparently.

Nothing I can do about that.

To hell with the gym, just be a skinny little twig like your brother then.

Bro, this is a really bad attempt at trolling and the best part is you are doing this with a person that is in substantially better shape than you and the overwhelming vast majority of men at any gym lol.

Honestly, I don't exercise to get women. It's something that I got into during the latter part of my high school years, around 2006-2007 was when I started. It's a hobby/lifestyle that I enjoy, it makes me feel good, look good, etc. Now that I'm getting into my 30s, I'm also noticing that I look quite younger than the majority of other men around my age. I'm already seeing that I'm aging substantially better than most other people, not just with appearance but even things like posture, chronic pain, etc. I'm very confident that as I get older I'll be in fantastic shape and substantially less likely to have diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, etc.

I've actually met a lot of older men at the gym that were in their 70s and 80s who were in really good shape for their age. The one trend was that they exercised their entire lives and took care of themselves. Most people in this age range are well over the hill and have poor overall physical functioning. This is also a big motivating factor for me that I started valuing more when I started approaching 30. I've arranged my training to stay in really good shape but also in a way where I minimize injury risk as much as possible. I can cite a bunch of examples of gym bros I've met who trained like idiots that literally ruined their bodies because of stupidity and ego. I'm talking things like blown out knees, back and hip injuries, full blown shoulder tears, etc.

When your shape gets you props from other men, and choosing signals from women..then you will have my attention.

Until then, begone.

TL,DR of this thread: OP is 6'3'' and 300 pounds and has been going to the gym for 3 months.
I get choosing signal compliments from women.

Women: As I mentioned, I get choosing signals from women, mainly in the form of stares.
They stare at you because you're a tall, fat guy. C'mon man! According to BMI you're well into obese range, and that's fat, it can't be muscles after 3 months of gym.
This reminds me of those unfiltered photos of Kim K butt where you see her real, gigantic, full of cellulite ass. I would stare at that, but certainly not in appreciation or admiration.

"You have an Incredible Hulk thing going on".

A vendor at work said this to me^.

Have you ever received anywhere NEAR that kind of compliment by a stranger based on your physique?

No, you haven't.

Guess what, I have.

Last I checked, the Incredible Hulk isn't considered fat.

And tall, fat guys don't get told this.

Also, last checked, it takes a considerable amount of muscle/strength to rep 285lbs 12 times on bench press.

Can you hit 285 lbs 12x on the bench press?

I doubt it.

Guess what, I can.

Later this week I will be reporting at least a one rep of 315, which is in the company of only 1% of the general population.

And guess what, you are not included in that 1%.

If you use half of the energy you use to hate on me and apply it in the gym, maybe you'd get a quarter of the compliments I get...not by friends or family, but by strangers.

According to BMI you're well into obese range, and that's fat, it can't be muscles after 3 months of gym.
Ok, so this obese man (me) gets more compliments than a seemingly healthy man (you).

If that is the case, then you shame yourself.

People in hell want ice water.
You know you could earn the respect of the guys here and make a stand for yourself with just one photo ,right? I mean ,if you look good, there is nothing wrong posting one photo. We are all curious. If you post, I'll post one too. Just for the sake of it. Maybe get some good critics. Wouldn't hurt.

Listen, man...

Even though I cannot stress it enough, I will continue to stress:

Hit the Gym!!

There is obviously a lot of confirmation bias on this forum, and you guys don't listen to sh!t I tell you.

Everything that I advise has been proven to work for me, and I only share with you my own true life experiences.

The bottom line is this...

Go to the gym and build muscle mass.

Lift heavy.

I am not here to brag, but I will share with you how much hard work, dedication, and consistency have paid dividends for me in terms of..

1. My physical appearance.

2. My confidence.

3. Compliments from others.

As far as physical appearance, I am 6'3 and now at 299 lbs. I have a stocky-muscular frame.

I get SO many compliments on my physique from other guys (no homo).

Guys: Strangers come up to me and ask me did I play football.

I've been told I need to try out for the Arizona Cardinals.

I was told by a police officer that if he had to deal with guys my size on a daily basis, he would quit his job.

I was told by a dude that I have an "Incredible Hulk" thing going on.

Those are just a few, and doesn't even scratch the surface on just how many compliments I get.

I get compliments almost on a daily basis; from strangers and new acquaintances.

I get so many compliments nowadays....at first, it was all surprising.

But now, it is expected.

I expect that when I go out, I am going to get complimented at least once.

My wife works as a cashier at a grocery store. One day, I went up to her job after I came from the gym (she was getting ready to get off).

I stood at the front end of her register, but a little distance away.

I kid you not, 75% of the people in the store stared at me in awe...men and women....customers and employees.

Speaking of which, the wife was taking her sweet ass time at the register...so I decided to walk around the store to pass time.

There was a black woman grocery shopping with her man.

As he was checking out the labels on a box, she was checking me out as I walked past them.

I get verbal compliments from men (no homo).

I get choosing signal compliments from women.

Women: As I mentioned, I get choosing signals from women, mainly in the form of stares.

I started a new job, and one of the women labeled me "the human forklift".

When I first started, most of the women liked what they saw.

Although most of them are older white ladies who are all either married or unattractive, however in their own special ways, they let me know on a day-by-day basis that I am the man.

There is a cute Latina lady there who is crushing on me.

Again, I haven't even scratched the surface, people.
-----

I said all of that to say this...

I am not here to brag. Not at all.

I am telling you guys the benefit of building muscle mass.

By becoming a better physical version of yourself, your chances of attracting women will increase.

I am confident I can get any woman that I want. Call me crazy, but that is the way I feel.

If you put in the work and trust the process, you will feel the same way too.

Not only should you do it to promote a healthy lifestyle for yourself and others, but in terms of dating/attraction...this is the best way to kill two birds with one stone.

Build muscle mass.
My experience as well. Though, if I was little taller and younger...

You ain't gotta post one.

In honor of me hitting 315 for 5 reps (and climbing), here is a pic of me.

I now stand amongst less than 1% of the general population.

Compliments, just about every day.

6'3, 300lbs.

Yeah, I'm fat, right?

Lifting weights and working out never changes the face
Obviously it doesn’t. But it sure helps those who aren’t homely.

You are the only guy I heard of who lifted weights and got fat.

And still afraid to cold approach.

SMH.

If you look that good and strangers compliment you often (like me), and women give you choosing signals, then you shouldn't be afraid to cold approach women.

Tsk, tsk.

Some of us on here are full of crap, that's what it is.
You don't talk to very many people then. Most powerlifters are fat.

The amount of weight you can lift is directly related to how much you weigh in some capacity.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
