This whole thing is completely ridiculous and way too blown out of proportion. I'm going to stop reading this thread, because I've input my .02 only to have it ignored - you all can keep going around in circles, but I've got better things to do with my time.
Fair enough...from now on anytime one of you guys get stood up and complain about being disrespected this is what I'm going to say:
"You set up a time to go out. You went out. You had your date. So what if she didn't show up. Look at the other side. She had something else to do or someone else to go out with. One of them might have been more interesting than you. Most women are in favor of that."
The point is...the other photo thread didn't even show up on my list of threads. My forum preferences are set to "default". If a thread has fallen that low so that it doesn't even show up to people then there is absolutely NO justifiable reason that a similar thread should be locked. I posted a thread intended to be used in an entirely different way than the one buried beyond what was visible to me and most others. At the time it was locked I was challenging the routine deleting of "online dating" threads and the person who locked my thread was involved in that argument. I believe that my thread was locked to seek revenge for me speaking my mind on the other issue.
That is a very big part of all of this.

I didn't think it deserved to be locked. There are a lot of pointless threads on the website that serve no purpose but don't get locked ( http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=63583 comes to mind).
I'm not badmouthing the mods, you do lock up a lot of threads that outlive their usefulness and civility, but maybe you should have relaxed a bit on the photo one.

The thread you pointed out is there for fun. Plus, it keeps Gio and Pen from knocking other threads out of line. Also, there isn't another thread like it.
The photo thread was there already. Paradox and I even posted that photo's should go in there. People for the past few months have gotten their photos put in there and haven't complained. They've gotten their thread locked and didn't complain. They just posted it in the Photo thread.
I believe Wyld has something deeper that is making her this upset over this thing.

Don't take this the wrong way bro, but if you can control people knocking the photo thread out of the line (i.e. deleting the unnecessery comments), why can't you control Gio & Pen? Note, I don't really have a problem with either of them, in fact Gio's posts can be hilarious as hell, but they can easily talk via PM or IM. Just saying, no real point for that thread.

The controlling of the photo thread that was a group decision. 1 mod did not go "hmm...I'm gonna screw people over and not let them reply." I just closed the photo thread (the non-reply one) because Wyld kept posting in it, despite being told not to. Everyone else who posted in there didn't after having their reply deleted.
Gio and Pen haven't caused enough of a problem to have to be "dealth with." I just created the thread as a way of keeping it that way.
Well Eternal, I'm a gabber as well...which was part of the purpose of the thread you locked. I'll end up derailing topics too. It always happens because I like to just talk and chit chat. I HATE the PM system and refuse to use it to talk to people so don't even bother suggest that because it ain't happening.
How many times must it be eluded to that having a photo thread is totally RETARDED if you can't talk to the people who post their photos? What's the point? You may as well just delete that whole thread because it is STUPID. I don't even click on the dumb thing anymore because it's pointless, useless and BORING without conversation.
And no, there isn't some hidden reason why I'm mad...I'm mad because of exactly what I've been saying I'm mad about. You suck at reading minds...

What is your disdain with PM's? They are wonderful. Easier to talk to people, don't have to scroll down through posts to see what someone wrote, and you can talk about nearly anything.

You lying little f@ck! I didn't "keep posting" in it. I was answering posts made to ME. I answered two posts, the second one being a smarta$$ telling you to hurry up and delete my post while also answering the post made to me. The first time I posted aside from the photo in it was before I even knew the dumb thing was so lame and didn't allow comments.
Christ...how hard is it to just delete actual flames in a thread anyway? Deleting everything to avoid a few flames is just pure laziness.
Wyld...I deleted your reply and someone elses comment. I think worked on my paper and went back to the site and saw a few more replies. That means "kept posting in it." It's not like I said "I deleted hundreds of replies by Wyld." Plus, if you knew it was getting deleted, why bother replying?
Not everything was deleted. You make it sound like we deleted the whole thread. ALL the replies were flaming. People calling each other gay and whatnot. Therefore, they ALL had to go.
Listen...you registered in November and have all of 15 posts...several of which have been made right here in this section, on a thread you claim to not even like reading.
Have some balls and use the ID you usually do...people aren't THAT dumb, you know.

I responded to two people who posted directly TO ME on that thread. So stop making it sound like I was just hanging out on there posting just to annoy you. I was being polite to OTHER people by answering them.
LAZINESS...period.
I ran a forum that got several thousand posts a day...all of which I HAD to screen, by myself. The forum was extremely volatile, political and focused on Gender Issues. You don't even know what a flame war looks like. I did that for a year, so I KNOW what running and moderating a busy site is like. And I'm saying that although shutting off comments for a few days, or a week and cleaning out all the flames would have been effective. STILL allowing no comments is RETARDED. I don't care who made the call for that, it's still being lazy. If people aren't willing to do the work required of a moderator then they shouldn't be one, period.
