I ran a forum that got several thousand posts a day...all of which I HAD to screen, by myself. The forum was extremely volatile, political and focused on Gender Issues. You don't even know what a flame war looks like. I did that for a year, so I KNOW what running and moderating a busy site is like. And I'm saying that although shutting off comments for a few days, or a week and cleaning out all the flames would have been effective. STILL allowing no comments is RETARDED. I don't care who made the call for that, it's still being lazy. If people aren't willing to do the work required of a moderator then they shouldn't be one, period.

That's actually how I ended up finding sosuave in the first place I think. Someone had posted a link to that thread on another site laughing at "look how funny these guys are - being both vain and homophobic simultaneously!"

I have one question for the mods now though... if you have the power to lock threads, delete posts, etc... why is this thread still going? I'm NOT saying you should delete it, I'm just wondering... because THIS thread is of a hell of a lot more repetitive and annoying than any photo thread.

(No offense Wyldfire - I remember your posts as always being good ones, so this isn't anything against you personally. I'm not involved in this drama, because I could care less... but for some reason I'm compelled to read this thread anyway. Go figure).
