    Sounds like a severe rotator injury. - I have had to adjust my lifts and training to accommodate a similar injury just not as severe. My buddy had the exact same happen to him as you described, doing DB press and *PING* and now he's undergone 2 surgerys. He had to get shiit pinned back together...
