Agree with what Tenacity said... if you casually ask the right questions at the perfect time Fixer in conversation or alternatively listen to the subtle hints and lines they say during the early dates, you'll get a sense of what they're looking for short/mid/long LTR. Ex: did they just come out of a LTR and are looking for a quick FWB situation, desperate, independent/codependent attachment style, etc.
Take into factor their age (ticking baby making clock), options, chemistry for something lasting longer a few weeks.
Most often plates want to stick around longer than a few weeks if their options aren't as solid, they perceive your SMV higher than theirs, while you continue to (hopefully) hold out a challenge for them to pursue you a LTR.
