I watched it and I REALLY wanted to enjoy this final episode but my heart wasn't in it after finding out that kosmo was an actor.

The whole episode I just kept thinking back to his night out and the way he stood around and pretended to be shy. Or when they had to wear thongs to the pool party he pretended to be self conscious when he's an actor and or a boxer.

I really wanted to believe that his new found confidence was real but he probably didn't lack it to begin with.

Before I found out it was fake I watched it and got into the drama because I thought "well this could be real" but now that I knew it wasn't it spoiled the drama and I couldn't get into it.

A couple of points on the actual show:

- Now that I know the truth about the show I found it ironic when the field test started and the usual disclaimer came across "no actors were in the club" lol, I thought it should have in parenthesis (except kosmo)

- Brady's student Dillon was completely fake. You could tell once they fixed his hair that is how he naturally wears it and that he is naturally extroverted. It was so obvious he was faking being a big goof ball

- When Kip's number close kept saying "I'm going to be very upset if I never hear from you again" that was totally fake. Girl's don't say that kind of stuff. You can tell they (the producers of the show) were just trying to impress us with kosmo's supposed teaching abilities and to further advertise the Mystery Method.

- Truth be told, I think Brady should have one. I believe he had more game than kosmo or at least he acted like he did better than kosmo.

Anyway, it was a fun ride and I enjoyed it. Anytime guys are shown going into the field there is something to learn from it.

You know what, even if the show was as fake as you state (which I don't doubt btw) you can still take a lot from it.

I think "seeing" pu attempts as oppossed to just "reading" about them puts things into perspective. That is, its really not a big deal, you don't have to be PERFECT in your attempts and most girls will be responsive to your approach if you just follow a couple simple rules.

"Girls don't say that kind of stuff?" so you're a girl now or something? Yeah, that's pretty ignorant to say that man. There are BILLIONS of women out there, you don't know what kind of stuff every women SAYS or doesn't say.

Also, you can't ACT body language.

whoa, Whoa, WHOA! Okay, calm down there skippy. It's a tv show. When I criticize the dialog on a tv show there's no reason for you to take it personally, get defensive and insult me. Okay?

Secondly, you say it's unfair that I say that a woman wouldn't talk like that when there are BILLIONS of individual women on the planet. Well guess what, the entire Mystery Method is founded on the assumption that women react in predictable ways.

Third, how do I personally know that that's NOT how women talk? Because I'm not 17. I've been to bars. I've talked to women in bars. It's called social calibration. Learn it.

Anyone who denies that Mystery and his PUA's have an exceptional grasp of the game of attraction are just plain haters. Don't you have anything better to do?

These guys have distilled the interaction with women down to a science.

I was going to post something about how ignorant people tend to slam the sh!t out of anyone who tries to make a buck off of their knowledge, but I'm not sure it's worth wasting ten minutes of my life.
Then why didn't any of their students manage nothing more than a couple of kiss closes with a couple of sub 7's during the entire PUA series?

And that was with hands on training by Mystery, J-Dog and Matador.

These guys kept using the same lame-ass opinion openers over and over.

Tell me, how what kind of success have you had with MM, or are you just a starstruck fanboy?

You can't? What do you think the guys are doing when they are in set, lock in and lean back? They're acting like their confident (projecting confidence) even if they don't feel it.

Dude you are getting all defensive. I'm not against self improvement. I'm not against guys getting better at picking up women. I just don't believe the show is real.

Take your word for it, you're the one getting angry here. There are BILLIONS of women and thus BILLIONS of different female personalities. You can't say that you honestly know that of those BILLIONS of females not one of them would talk like that. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple million said something like that.

If I'm angry it's because you insulted me. Look man, I'm not saying that MM doesn't work. I'm not saying that pick up doesn't work. I'm not saying that women don't come onto you if you have game. I've had women in bars crab my c0ck within a few minutes of meeting me while I'm sitting at the bar.

All I'm saying is women have pride. They don't beg "please, please, please" see me again in front of their friends like that. What they do behind the scenes however, that's a different story.

I enjoyed the series the pick up artist even if I didn't fully enjoy the final episode because I have doubts about the authenticity now. If you want to believe what that woman said as being real, go right ahead. That's your right just as I am entitled to my opinion. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one and leave it at that. Respect

Haha and you're going to tell me every reality show prior to this wasn't some what scripted? Sorry man, but most reality TV shows are 'somewhat' scripted. There's really not such a thing as a completely real reality show.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I have heard those exact words out of a woman after # closing her.

Of course, I haven't tried reading much of this thread, but by 2 cents:

1. Every reality TV contestant, be it Survivor or whatever, is an aspiring actor of some sort. That is the only reason anyone would think about being on such a show.

2. You can fake a night club, you can fake body language, but boy is it hard to fake an awkward rejection! :D

3. Yes, it is filled with Standard TV fluff, but there just isn't any reason to fake the field tests. Teaching an awkward AFC to close a 6 or 7 . . . it's really not that hard, guys. Paying dozens of actresses to pretend they're drunk in a club? Aren't there real drunk girls in clubs already? What's to fake?

(PS: I box, I do public speaking, I wouldn't be caught dead in speedos.)

Hey man, I'm not going to tell you anything. I usually make it a rule not to watch reality shows. However, I've started watching Hogan Knows Best now because it's on right after the PUA. lol

Well I stand corrected then. Like the kid said, there are billions of women out there. Experience is the best teacher.

Makes sense, but like I said I haven't watched other reality shows until recently.

But were the actors feeling awkward or were we the audience projecting that? LOL, because I can't speak for the actors but man I sure felt awkward watching a lot of those scenes.

Never said it was that hard. I personally think it would be harder to get all of the people in the club to agree to allow their faces to be on tv than to just hire some actors. I don't know if it was real or not, all I'm saying is I highly doubt it.

To each their own, I would rather parade my fat but around in a speedo all day than give a 10 minute speech.

Ive heard that line plenty of times after either # closing or kiss closs at bars. Apply the right game and girls will lose their dignity and beg to see you again.

As far as the show I believe it was more real then some believe.....The reason is that if it was Completely FAKE, these AFCs would of been pulling HB9s-10s just to promote Mystery and for the WOW factor.

I am glad that Kosmo won it seemed as if he wanted it the most, even if he was an actor. He may of over acted his emotions in his interviews but i think we saw the real him in the field. Like ive said before a person can be an AFC and an actor or musician at the same time. He probably got into acting cause he thought it would get him girls. Ive met many guys in bands, athletes, or trying to crack entertainment bus. that are total AFCs so i still believe this show was somewhat real

Some of you can't seem to get it through your heads that they were filming a TV SHOW. That means that what you are seeing doesn't necessarily correlate to the actual timeline of the filming. They could have (and probably did) film this over the course of 2-3 weeks, NOT the 7 or whatever it might appear.

These guys kept using the same lame-ass opinion openers over and over.
Probably due to TIME CONSTRAINTS I already mentioned. They got a distilled version.

Tell me, how what kind of success have you had with MM, or are you just a starstruck fanboy?
I'm not a fan at all. And I have nothing to do with SS, MM or anything else that has to do with a "method" for picking up women. I do, however, have a firm grasp on what makes women tick, and I can tell you that most everything i have read or watched coming from the seduction community is based upon sound principals and has the potential to improve your game with women.

All you have to do is watch Mystery give a play by play watching one of the guys interacting with women and you can tell that he knows his sh!t.

That said.....throw a bunch of socially awkward guys together, some of whom have probably never even seen a woman naked, and give them two or three weeks of exposure to a completely new and overwhelming concept, and what do you expect? You think they are gonna be getting laid like rock stars in a month after trying to overcome a lifetime of bad programming?

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I had similar experiences as well. Don't be so judgemental.
I think most of the show is real, because most of the interactions seemed pretty genuine. I hope they will do another one of these shows, but I hope they will cut out the elimation, so the students get some more time to improve before their arses are being sent home. It would've been really awesome if we would've seen a Scott transformation for instance.

a "handful"?

i thought i had the lowest opinion of the skills of your typical SS keyboard jockey. i think (know for a fact) that we could put together a handful of guys from here who could outgame Mystery, Matador, and that other dude, quite easily.

honestly, i bet there are two thousand guys on here who can outperform the shows' AFCs, with just a little tiny push in the right direction.

add a $50,000 carrot to the mix...???

those guys, while much improved and kudos to them, are still pathetic. to proclaim Kosmo as a Master PUA is preposterous.

sorry guys....anyone who starts bragging about how they can outperform these guys, it's saying much. so they got a few phone numbers and a few "kiss closes". BFD. no one here knows how many crash n burns they actually had to get this "success". it could very well have been 10 hard burns that were not included, for every 1 success. those numbers fall into the random chance category.

i didn't watch all episodes, but not one of these dudes got laid, right?

Kosmo and Brady actually did a better job of teaching their students in one day than Mystery and his crew did in one month.
it's a tv show, and who knows how it actually went down, but indeed they did. AFCs teaching AFCs and they actually did pretty damn well. Kosmo's AFC actually had a very sweet pickup for a complete rookie. he could have laid that chick no problem.

that sums it all up, and was a subtle, but scathing, indictment of the Mystery Method (or whatever it's called this week), and Mystery himself. i'm pretty sure that Mystery would have a say in the final edits, but he ended up punking himself, pretty badly.
