There are no shortcuts in life.
For the interest of space I truncated your post. I have been routinely watching this show and reading the book, ' the game' and am certainly interested in the Method. That said, I defiantly am in agreement with you. I despise the free lunch; nothing great comes at no cost. What I do get out of the method are the ideals one must build upon in order to be successful. The MM has merits which hold true to any successful person. Be interesting, be someone who is networked, be someone who has funny stories to tell. There really is nothing new here. What mystery does well is present it and make it seem tangible for guys who basically have no lives.

I like MM, and certainly adapted certain aspects into my own game, but it hardly is the be all, end all of picking up girls.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

"The Game" doesn't do MM justice IMO. It's a good story but it barely scratches the surface, kinda like the show.

I'll say it again, get your life together and the "women" part will take care of itself.
...
Except there are countless cases of guys having their lives together(not that hard) and still not getting any.

Your advice is the same advice all of us have heard our entire lives from our elders and peers. If you are going to endlessly criticize Mystery and his method at least provide a decent alternative.

Easy - don't focus on learning seduction. Instead, learn to become the type of Man who seduces women.

I pointed out alternatives, such as becoming High Value as opposed to giving the illusion of being High Value with gimmicks and tricks, and putting others down to raise your value.

Why did Mystery attempt suicide after his breakup with the girl in Style's book?

Because his method is about tactics and techniques and does nothing or very little for inner game. Mystery is still an AFC, but an AFC with game.

In the long run, MM will stunt your development as a DJ (anyone remember the mission of this forum?) because you don't grow as a person when you're dependent on tricks and tactics and false this and false that.
