That's just silly. Why the hell should anybody listen to you then, since you haven't put on your bodyweight in muscle mass yet?

If somebody puts on 40lbs of muscle, they know what they are doing, regardless of their startpoint, be it 100lbs up to 140lbs or 190lbs up to 230lbs.

I use deads,pullups, and bent rows. I'm running 4 days a week and currently taking in around 3,000 cals. per day, 1.5 grams of protein per lb. BW, and about 80-100 grams carbs per day.

Currently 6'2, 227. I take steroids (off now) and ballooned to 254 lbs. this past summer; I like to cut weight during the winter (I live in FLA).

I've been training 3 years, and I ran a Marathon prior to that.

I take whey, a multi, C, flax oil, and, when I'm not cycling steroids, creatine.

holy smokes that's alot of protein..do you take a fiber supplement or eat alot of salads? i seem to get backed up if i eat too much protein ,i have to have at least one large salad in the afternoon daily and at least two servings of fruit a day between meals,more the better. I am in the process of getting back into hardcore lifting but my gut dosen't seem to be adjusting to it as well as i hoped.

I eat over 2g protein per lb and never have stomach problems. Build up to it, and make sure your carbs are fibrous (oats, veggies like broccoli, cauliflower), take your oils. You'll be fine.

how many meals do you eat?? i am going for 3xday for meals and two snacks,salad for one and fruits for another.
I find it hard to eat in the morning but i will make an effort to do so.
I don't think i could eat 6x a day,4 at the most- for meals at least.
My gut dosen't want to move all the crap out,it seems to just sit there..i think i just need more fiberous veggies. I have never builked on clean food before, i usually used weight gainers,i want to do it naturaly this time around.The mass tends to be denser and stay longer IMO.

The morning is critical and may be why you're having digestion issues. You need to get your digestive tract simulated with the first meal of the day before you pile in more food the rest of the morning.

And ummm .. weight gainers are natural. They're just protein and carbs.

How much do you work out? i need to get a membership..once i do,i'll be there religiously! i swear the last time i had one, i was there almost 24-7 and i was getting pretty swole, i was dang near the 200 lbs. mark but i got lazy.I was also drinking and partying pretty hard as well.

I pretty much eat pretty lightly throughout the day and then have a big dinner.I am not trying to gain nor get in shape in anyway right now though once i do get back into the swing of things,i'll shoot for 3xday then 4xday,still with 2 snacks so i guess it does make 6xday.Once i get up there,i'll bring it back down to 3xday,hearty meals.I simply cannot maintain 6 meals a day,i could but i don't enjoy it.

Basicly sticking to carlorie rich ,really nutritious foods- like steaks,chicken ,ribs,fiberous veggies,salads,fruits,potatos,chilli.

I may or may not take weight gainers again,if i do i will limit to only 2xday and i will add some fruit into the mix to help aide in digestion, i seem to suffer from digestion issues :nervous:

Your meals have to be equally sized during the day (roughly) tapering off towards bedtime - your set up of light meals plus a big dinner isn't really optimal. But if it gives you the results you want who am I to argue.

Aim for a lb of green vegetables every day and have oatmeal for breakfast. You can also take fibre supplements and/or digestive enzymes.

i only eat this way really because i am lazy really :wave:
plus i am generally not really a big eater to begin with.

I am definetly going to up my meals and protein once i begin to workout more :rockon: I forgot how it felt to be skinny..now that i am pretty skinny, i miss being big!! :wave:

Because you are not actually listening to me. I'm just passing down the wisdom of wba, effort, throttle, a-unit, ect. You are actually listening to them when I give out info.

Progress pic. This is 2 months after my first pic(see first post). I have a slight tan now. I worked out at 1PM,it's now 1AM so I have no pump. Still no supplements(very tempting though) and still shooting for the 200-225 grams of protein a day.

Start doing some pullups and rows man. Looks like your upper back needs some work. I'm really noticing a change in physique since I started hittin those workouts hard about 4 weeks ago. Work on that V.

Yeah,I noticed that my upper back is lacking some as well. I never used to do wide grip rows,only close grip when I first started which is why I hit it HARD on back days now w/ alot of wide grip work. Thanks for the suggestion!

it's not good or bad, it's just a comparison. My waist is about 27-28 and my shoulders are about 46-47 :up: It's from doing lots of military presses and push ups as well as chin ups and pull ups.Chin ups really make a world of difference to your back when doing ALOT of them and frequently,I noticed that if i purposly overtrain a certain part of my body but having sufficiant rest,i can grow it at a more accelerated rate :D

Chin ups really make a world of difference to your back when doing ALOT of them and frequently,I noticed that if i purposly overtrain a certain part of my body but having sufficiant rest,i can grow it at a more accelerated rate :D

How often are you hitting your back? I want mine as wide as possible as soon as possible.

What the f*ck? Are you guys trying to fit into size small dress from Sears? This is the queerest thing I've ever read. Talk to women about this and see the disappointed looks on their face because you guys are such insecure wads of sh*t.
