Squat:

3 x 5 x 305 lbs

1 arm dumbbell overhead press:

6 x 60 lbs (per arm)
4 x 60 lbs (left arm)

Failed 5th rep, got pissed off and just went to deadlift.

Deadlift:

5 x 385 lbs

Felt good.

Squat:

2 x 5 x 315 lbs
4 x 315 lbs (failed last rep)

Bench press:

5 x 180 lbs
4 x 180 lbs (failed last rep)

Called it a day here. I was feeling tired and my lower back was very fatigued. I didn’t sleep enough last night and I didn’t eat enough today because I had a test so I was studying for it the night before, and I was nervous so didn’t feel like eating.

^ Going pretty well. I want to weigh myself but the batteries on my scale are dead, will have to pick up some new ones when I have money.

Went thru a mini-bout of depression lately, probably back to training by Wednesday.

Squat:

3 x 5 x 325 lbs

Overhead press:

5 x 125 lbs
4 x 125 lbs
5 x 120 lbs

Deadlift:

5* x 395 lbs

I waited a long time between reps 4 and 5, probably too long to be considered a strict set. I felt totally wiped out after the squats and after the deadlifts felt like I was going to throw up for a few minutes. Didn't eat enough today, missed my 1st meal because I had a lot of weird dreams last night and kept waking up so slept in, and since I didn't eat my 1st meal I wasn't very hungry when it came time to eat my 2nd meal. I'll repeat this weight next time I deadlift.

I ran low on funds early last week so I couldn't eat very much. Tried to train on Wednesday but I went in and was so ****ing sore I had trouble hitting full depth on squats, so I decided to bail. I attribute this to not eating enough. Anyway, got that sorted, here's today:

Squat:

3 x 5 x 330 lbs

These felt great.

Bench press:

15 x 135 lbs
12 x 135 lbs (Didn't rest long enough here)
14 x 135 lbs

I was trying what Quicksilver posted on page 15 of this thread. I'm assuming that my 1RM is 200 lbs. It felt very strange to do such high reps, I started getting sore after the 1st set and my form went to **** after 10 reps. I forgot that I was only supposed to do 2 sets. On the 3rd set, I thought I was going to get the last rep and failed like 3/4 of the way up. I'll try 140 next time, I think I should be able to get it.

Deadlift:

5 x 405 lbs

I know I said I was going to repeat 395 this time, but I felt pumped after how easy the squats felt, and just decided to go for it. These felt great.

^ Thanks.

Lately I've been drinking raw eggs. Does anyone else do this? I just blend them for a few seconds. I can consume a lot more eggs this way, I have no problem drinking 8 eggs but if I cook them I can only get down 3 or 4.

Nice deads... you come back from an injury and you're basically doing the same reps as me w/ 4 plates within a short time...Great job. Pretty bad embarrassing for me though!

Thanks. I was reading your log though and you do a lot more reps/sets than I do. I don't feel like the injury held me back at all once it was fixed. It feels totally fine, like it never happened. Thank god for laparoscopic surgery  I didn't even know about it before, so when I got the hernia I thought I was going to be out for months.

Ya laps are nice... minimally invasive. On occassion we do see botched laps for things like cholecystectomies. Those aren't pretty. But for something simple like a hernia repair, laps are great! Good to hear you're feeling 100% again.

I used to do raw eggs back when Warboss was putting weight on me. He said that they were the closest thing to steroids he knew.

And didn't I say it? A month out = no muscle loss as long as food is adequate. All that needs to happen is too start back low and get the CNS back up to par over a few weeks. Look what happened :).

Yeah, and eating more has made a HUGE difference. Not only has my strength increased quickly, but I've noticed I'm not very sore after workouts anymore (except for when I didn't eat enough last week). I actually started too low in weight, I should have started back a bit heavier but I wanted to be very careful after the surgery.

I've been drinking raw eggs, olive oil straight from the bottle, 1/2-1 gallon of milk a day, and eating tons too but I like the liquid meals because it's easier to get a lot down. I can drink a gallon of milk and 8 eggs a day easily with no ill effects. I'm probably putting on some fat too but I don't give a ****, as long as I keep getting stronger, it's a lot easier to lose fat than it is to get strong and I'm tired of banging my head against the wall not eating enough and not making progress.

With the kind of weights you pull on deads I'm pretty sure you can easily hammer out at least 15-20 reps of bodyweight pull ups. Are you doing really strict form? Consider adding some extra weight w/ a weight belt? I'm a huge proponent of weighted dips/pull ups.

I do full ROM, all the way up, all the way down, none of that half rep bull****, no leg swinging. I could probably do more chin ups, but I haven't done them in a while and I was tired from squatting and pressing. I used to be able to do 18 chin ups, but that was before doing anything else. I probably should try weighted, haven't done those in a while.

Losing fat is easy until you get to about 12%, then it is a cun*.

You could try doing the chins before the deads/squats. I've been doing that for a while. It doesn't affect my dead strength aterwards, and I've been able to progress on the chins more easily.

What do you weigh now? That will make a big difference in the number of reps you can get. When I took off 10lbs excess fat chins became way easier.

Sick squat btw. Isn't that a PR?

Got a battery for my scale today and weighed myself... 202 lbs! This is the heaviest I've ever been. This was in the morning on an empty stomach too. I was 195 when I went in for surgery in December.

3 x 5 x 335 is a PR, I did 1 x 5 x 335 (with ammonia) a while back.

wow your back and lower body is so much more developed than your chest/shoulders. Maybe you should concentrate on them.......
