Thanks. I was reading your log though and you do a lot more reps/sets than I do. I don't feel like the injury held me back at all once it was fixed. It feels totally fine, like it never happened. Thank god for laparoscopic surgery  I didn't even know about it before, so when I got the hernia I thought I was going to be out for months.Fuglydude said:Nice deads... you come back from an injury and you're basically doing the same reps as me w/ 4 plates within a short time...Great job. Pretty bad embarrassing for me though!
Yeah, and eating more has made a HUGE difference. Not only has my strength increased quickly, but I've noticed I'm not very sore after workouts anymore (except for when I didn't eat enough last week). I actually started too low in weight, I should have started back a bit heavier but I wanted to be very careful after the surgery.Quagmire911 said:I used to do raw eggs back when Warboss was putting weight on me. He said that they were the closest thing to steroids he knew.
And didn't I say it? A month out = no muscle loss as long as food is adequate. All that needs to happen is too start back low and get the CNS back up to par over a few weeks. Look what happened .
I do full ROM, all the way up, all the way down, none of that half rep bull****, no leg swinging. I could probably do more chin ups, but I haven't done them in a while and I was tired from squatting and pressing. I used to be able to do 18 chin ups, but that was before doing anything else. I probably should try weighted, haven't done those in a while.Fuglydude said:With the kind of weights you pull on deads I'm pretty sure you can easily hammer out at least 15-20 reps of bodyweight pull ups. Are you doing really strict form? Consider adding some extra weight w/ a weight belt? I'm a huge proponent of weighted dips/pull ups.
Quagmire911 said:What do you weigh now? That will make a big difference in the number of reps you can get. When I took off 10lbs excess fat chins became way easier.
Sick squat btw. Isn't that a PR?

Squat:
2 x 5 x 315 lbs
4 x 315 lbs (failed last rep)
Bench press:
5 x 180 lbs
4 x 180 lbs (failed last rep)
Called it a day here. I was feeling tired and my lower back was very fatigued. I didn’t sleep enough last night and I didn’t eat enough today because I had a test so I was studying for it the night before, and I was nervous so didn’t feel like eating.
