Asked the doctor about it, he said yeah, sounds like it but there's nothing that can be done. There's also really nothing else that could explain why my right arm is twice as strong/large as my left since I've never had any kind of arm injury.Quagmire911 said:Is this frustration, or did you actually get it checked out?
That's what squats, deadlifts and overhead presses are forAnd I don't see how strengthening the abdominal wall could be a bad thing, even if it doesn't help. It will still help your strengh.
Yup, I was doing them just before I got the hernia and plan to start doing them again soon.Quagmire911 said:Regardless your deadlift is ace, if anything get 500 nailed and get on the path to 600. Have you ever tried weighted dips?

Deadlift:
5 x 355 lbs
These felt great.
I realize now that I was too conservative with the weight coming back from surgery. The weights are still flying up with simple linear progression. I should have started back heavier.
Well, I'm not even close to my previous numbers so I think it's a little early for I told you sosQuagmire911 said:Told you
How much fibre are you getting? Could be that you are all bunged up or something. From what you have said, I doubt you eat a lot of fruits and veggies.
Maybe get some psyllium husk, I've heard good things about it on IA's. Or you could get those fibre powders you add to drinks. Better yet, eat more fruits and veggies. Were meant to get 30g a day or something.

I'm really just getting back to where I was before I got a hernia. That's why I'm able to increase the weight so quickly.ATP said:Very solid increases in your workouts m8. If you are keeping good form on the exercises then two really big thumbs up for your progress. Slapping on that much weight every time is impressive.
Everything feels fine, although with my genetics it's probably only a matter of time before I blow out the other side. The surgeon did say the other side looked weak. And with my luck, it'll probably be right when I get back to my previous numbersFuglydude said:Great progress so far bro... Good to see your poundages back up following your injury. How is everything feeling? I'd hate to see you get hurt again.
