Why do people act like these racist feelings arent prevalent in our society? Lets not deny what is really there. I found tons of nasty comments on several news articles reporting this story. Not just youtube. Even if we are just talking about youtube, the people who use youtube are still folks in our society and it reflects how they think and live their lives.

There was this sitcom that started last year or in 2011. I forget its name but it comes on ABC I think and features a black man/white woman interracial couple. Of course the shows facebook page got some heat from idiots who are uncomfortable living in 2013. Yet people say nothing with the shows on tv right now with white guys dating non-white (yes even black) women.

Its sheer stupidity. People want to act like there isnt this strong bias still towards black men in America, but there is. You can see it just from how people react to interracial couples in media. Whenever a white guy dates any race in movies, tv, etc, no one bats an eye. If its a latino guy or asian guy mixed with whatever race....no one cares. If a black guy dates someone, people make sure shes black first, then latina or asian as to avoid butthurting white guys (and black women) in America it seems.

Its why the movie Hitch wrote out the white girl and put in a latina, and why in Hancock, Will Smith never kisses Charlize Theron. Whenever a black dude is paired with a white woman, some people stupidly flip out. Like gimme a break.

It's the internet. Most people get to live out their fantasies and say what they normally wouldn't, because of it. I wouldn't expect a bunch of posters to retract their statements or admit to being wrong like they would if it was face to face. Mixed race families don't get that much hate in person ever. Except the black women, they don't even bother to hide their disdain for mixed race couples in public.

Commercials like that create a backlash not because they feature interracial couples but because they contain very obvious and transparent social engineering propaganda. Whenever they show interracial couples in movies, TV shows and commercials, 95% of the time it's a black man with a white woman (the other 5% is a white man with an Asian woman). When was the last time you saw a Mexican dude with an Indian wife or a Native American man with a Somali woman, for example? It's not just white women and black men who engage in interracial relationships but you'd never know that from watching TV. The white woman/black man stereotype is being deliberately pushed down our throats; I'm not surprised that some people take offence to that.

I see white guys dating other races a lot in our media. People just dont make a big deal out of it because of the obvious double standard I already touched out. And I see loads of white guy/latina girl (or asian) in media. Heck, Ive wondered a lot why I dont see more fully asian couples. I will agree that black guys with white girls can be over-represented in media (not the 90% you said though), but when you look at the figures, its one of the most common pairings in real life.

There is no social engineering going on. Biracial people exist in our country and many of us probably known a biracial person. There shouldnt be any reason that them appearing in a commercial needs any commentary outside of saying it was a cute commercial with a girl who cares about her daddy.

I wanna know why people take offence to one representation of an interracial couple, yet not to another. We see Asian girls with white guys in media quite a bit. The media doesn't represent Asian men at all. That's why you hear nothing about it.


There are two groups of gender/race that the media represents.

White Women.
Black Men.


All of the rest may as well not even exist. Constantly bashing white men, ignoring black women. Asians are invisible. Asians have 1/3 the number of Blacks in the US, but you see them pretty much nowhere. Blacks making up just over 12%, while Asians are almost 5%. Hispanics are around 16% but they don't come even close to being as represented as blacks.


You want to do a good litmus test, during news hour, tally up the race/sex breakdown for each of your local news stations. Calculate the percentage representation and compare it to the US demographics. Without a doubt you will find white women/black men over-represented with the rest being under-represented. Asians being the most invisible.


And I still stand by my original post. Most of the racist comments are on youtube. I didn't see any racist comments anywhere else. Only in troll-land.

Really a Mexican with an Indian woman? Literally 99% of girls will not go near a Mexican, other than black girls. Mexicans do not even have any influence in the USA AT ALL. The backlash from bitter white afcs and bitter black women has nothing to do with "shoving stuff down people's throats". It's just hatred period. No differen than when Asian men hate on white men/Asian women couples. Asian women/white man and black man/white woman are one of the more common interracial relationships, that is why they are shown the most. Not because of some tinfoil theory to "shove down our throats". Asian women/white man is WAYY more represented in media. That one is LITERALLY shoved down people's throats in the Eastern world's media, but it is the most common IR relationship. So once again I don't get your theory.

The only part you make sense is the "over representation". Well I'll break it down for you:

Black/white women and Asian women/white man are shown because they are more common than others and they are what sells. Mexican/Indian is not gonna appeal to a wide demographic in the US at all. Mexican male/Indian female dont even make up 8% of the nation, plus the wealth gap and cultural influence of these two groups are very low. White man/Asian female these two groups cultural influence on the US is undeniable, no need to explain. Black man/White women these two groups have a huge cultural influence on the nation as well, this has history even back in the slave days. But, Blackman/Hispanic women would be more accurate if we going by most common, but how could the nation relate to a black/Hispanic couple? It wouldn't even sell. Yea The media generally treats Asian men like dogsh!t. Bruce Lee and Manny Pacquio are well liked and represnted though. Probably because they break the "geek" sterotypes. Even though Asians are 6% of the nation it doesn't stop Asian women from getting represented. Even Asian countries treat Asian men unfairly in their media too. With all the money Asian men make though, they should not be concerned with media representation.
