    Usual ratios of lifts (Squat vs Bench, etc.)

    i wasn't able to do 30-50 pushups, 12 chin ups, etc b4 gym. i started pushing iron with numbers lower then OP for 8-12 reps. 30-50 pushups, 12 chins etc are all too easy now. I don't think having to start off with body-weight exercises is really that much of a big deal...

    btw, you think you don't need strength. You'll be amazed at how useful additional strength is in every-day life. Increased physical ability across the board is not something to look down on.

    almost 21, not much facial hair either. Kinda like it though - less shaving, less hassle. Not much of a fan of accidental razor burn either. All in all though, I'm sure eventually a thick bush will be covering your face. Got to happen sooner or later.

    NOT OKAY. You should be doing over 400lbs each for the big 3. Squat, bench and deadlift. Any lower just means you're slacking off!
