But the benefit is you are extending your bloodline so that you live on through your kids and probably feel more connected with mainstream society since there are allot of families around. Otherwise you would be a genetic dead-end.

On the other hand, you don't have to care about bullies in the school system, climate change, or your kids mind's being corrupted by rampant pornography or sex in TV shows and movies or peer pressure and just watch the world go down in flames from a distance, knowing you didn't bring anyone else in the world to suffer the fate of where this planet is heading. This world is a much worst place then when I was a kid myself.

As long as a person isn't formally qualified to be a parent, it's getting children which is selfish - and irresponsible and stupid too, in the cases of those who just fvck without contraception for no good reason and then don't abort (that's basically why I was born).

People who have children should be:

- Economically OK, so the children don't grow up in poverty (poverty even affects the epigenome, it's like an inheritable disease)
- Educated in the basics of child rearing like different parenting behaviors and their effects, historical approaches to child rearing, their own childhood's possible effect on their parenting style, and finally the potential stressors of having young children
- Non-substance abusive
- Non-personality disordered
- With a partner who is mutually committed to forming a healthy family as far as you and outsiders can tell

Tell me a single couple who has all of these in basic check. If only people who were qualified to be parents actually were parents, I believe much of the world's problems would begin to be solved in a generation or two. But that's just a fantasy. Stupid, irresponsible people are probably the most likely to have children.

Not everything needs to be a grand conspiracy. Humans may be seen as a tribal, spiteful, petty, egotistic, nasty species to begin with when they are simply left alone. Thousands of years ago we were killing each other too whether inside or between tribes, now we are still doing it but with more fanciful rationalizations. Basic biology didn't change. It isn't. It never has been....necessary for everyone to reproduce. I'm the last guy who'd instruct everyone to have children, especially people who don't want children. There are already too many people making babies they didn't want.
