Also, while you are all worrying about fixing the dark under eye circles, you're really only treating the SYMPTOM and not the CAUSE.
Age and genetics are the biggest causes - I know it's common amoung Italians to have this problem.

Thats really good news looking for answers.

I'm glad that its working for you :)

Mine are at the point now where I dont even think about them. I just put the aloe on them and they're ok.

Its definately helped alot!

uh oh.

Seems the aloe gel may be irratating my eyes...
I have red puffy spots on sections of my under-eyes....kinda itchy too.

The stuff I bought is PURE ALOE, so its not like any fragrence or any chemicals are irritating it. Hmm, and I was noticing some (minor) improvement too

I wander if I should continue using it....afterall, it could be something else...as not only the undereyes are irritated, but also above my eyes (just below the eye brow)

I would stop using it straight away Jimbo just in case, then see if it settles down.

Sometimes mine get irritated, but it goes away over night.

It might be an alergy, so test out the gel on a place other than under your eye and see if it also goes red.

But i would definately stop using it under the eyes for now.

Hey Cheatz,

I'm using 98% aloe gel thats working well at the moment.

But originally i was using a product called 5 way natural aloe moisteriser. Its made over here in Subiaco and is in a pretty big white jar with a green lid.

You might be able to find it in a health food store or chemist over there in sunny Victoria.

Just remember to do the skin test for a couple of days before hand and I'd definately say start off applying once a day (at night) and check the results.

Have a good one!

I've only applied it on at night, I wouldnt do it during the day (before my eyes got irritated). The aloe makes the redness more noticable (as will any moisturizer as well).

Is it clearing up Jimbo?
Yes, infact it is.
However, I have doubts that the aloe caused it.
I use BP cream (10%) on my face every night and most mornings.

I find when I use it on an area that doesnt need it (a clear area) that it does the same thing that happened to my eyes (very redened).

Im wandering if some BP cream got on my eye (either through mis-applying it, or because some was left on the same finger that I applied the aloe with) and caused it.

Also, the area on my neck that I've been using the aloe on isnt irrated at all.
Im going to resume the aloe, but be extremely careful with BP cream near my eyes.

Ill report soon...:D

Good one Jimbo.

Next time you use it, I would make sure that your hands are completely clean and then put a small dot of aloe on your under eye. Remember the spot and check the next day for any irritation.

Give it a try before you apply the cream fully.

Let me know how it goes :)

Too late :)
I've been applying it every night regularily since my last post(being extra careful), and so far no skin irritation at all. Things look promising.

Web Definition: Lanolin - A refined derivative of the unctuous fat-like sebaceous secretion of sheep. It consists of a highly complex mixture of esters of high molecular weight aliphatic, steroid or triterpenoid alcohols and fatty acids. Obtained from the wax found on sheep's wool; refined and purified to cosmetic specifications. Excellent emollient, skin lubricant and protectant, capable of absorbing water in an amount equal to 50% of its weight. Rich in cholesterol and other skin-friendly sterols.

Thats from google. It says it has a mixture of all that crap, but also states its skin-friendly...so I dunno.

I found this from a search on google too:

well i already opened that aloe stuff so....ill be usin it. hopefully itl work fine right?

how should i do my facial regimen now with thesee things tho?? like what order? and when? how often, etc? ( i shave btw.. altho i dont have that much facial hair.. a little moustache area.... a little side of face ( like sideburn area) .. and of course on the neck/chin.

well i dont think i really get much acne (my cheeks are always red tho...... i guess just rosy cheeks) ... but my nose is always red too.......so i was wonderin if ther was a way to fix that. near the bottom i think it looks like it has a bunch of black dots.. almost as if a place wher hairs were gonna grow out or something... but its not hair lol! (but u cant tell this unless u look really close. but i was just wonderin a way to get rid of the redness on my nose ingeneral. thers a little bit of red that sorta goes off the nose and onto my face on both sides (kinda up near the eye).. id like to get rid of that the most..... its really flat so i dnt know what it is.

Yes, just put a small amount on your finger and dab it in gently. I wouldnt recommend forcing it in till it is dry, that may irritate it as it is delicate skin there.

Also, at first, you may want to try applying it to a small area of skin other than under your eyes - or apply a very small amount to one of your undereyes and watch that spot to see if any irritation develops. Do that for a few days and if no irritation develops then I'd start applying it regularily.

As for your red cheeks and nose, I can offer no help..

No worries Lost,

Get a small amount on your finger and dab it onto the under eye area.

Once you have a dot under your eye, slowly and very very gently spread it out over the area. Dont rush it, you have to be careful with the undereye.

Get it to a point where the area is shiny and a bit wet, but you shouldnt be able to see any of the cream.

Do it on one side at a time. Just make sure you are totally gentle with the area, thats the most important part. As long as you get good coverage, you should be right.

It will dry up naturally pretty fast anyway, usually in about half an hour or so.

Good luck :)

We posted at the same time Jimbo :)

Yes, definately test it out for a few days. Just in case you have a reaction. Its pretty unlikely i would say though.

Also, sometimes once i've applied it at night, the area will be a bit red about 20mins later. Its nothing to worry about. Its always back to normal the next day.
