We've had this poll.

And I think a lot of people are seriously underrating the Seahawks.

Absolutely beeing underrated however Pitt has the advantage. Everyone will be rooting for pitt at the SB. They will have the crowd behind them but Im rooting for the Seahawks personally.

Re:

How do you underrate a team that had the cakest schedule next to those already sent home?

Arizona, San Francisco, Houston, and St Louis dominated their schedule. And those teams will get picks this year in side the top10 because they were sent home early.

On the other hand, Pitt won ALL of its game to get to the Superbowl ON THE FREAKING ROAD.

It goes without saying that the AFC is tougher than the NFC, hence why they win more Superbowls. But...even this year, PITT has the advantage.

QB...Hasselback is older, but he hasn't been to a superbowl either.

WR...dead even...Ward is awesome blocking WR, Cedrick Wilson stepped up HUGE last week, and Randle El runs tons of unique trick plays, so watch for 1 of those. Seattle's WR are all on the same level, which will cause Fits for PITT, BUT, if they can shut down Peyton, they can shut down Hasselback.

Te...Goes to Heath "STICKY HANDS" Miller who will spring open a big play, get leveled, AND still hold the ball. Jerramy Stevens will get LIT UP because of the comments he issued on guaranteeing a WIN.

RB...SA might be the league MVP, but PITT has the versatility of 3-4 backs. Bettis at the goal line (no one can stop him). Parker is fast. Staley is a pass catcher on screens. And Haynes is a versatile, oft used back as well. SA dominates, but unless he gets 25 productive carries, HOW they got to the Superbowl will be useless. Because they did it riding SA, and if they abandon SA, bye bye offense.

K...dead lock, but I might give a slight edge to Brown.

DEF...you can't discount the rookie that is Lofa Tatupu or Bryce Fisher, BUT, I'd put my money on Polamalu, Foote, Porter, and Farrior, BEFORE I would the SEA defense. Sorry seahawks.

THAT said, I like SEATTLE, i want them to win b/c I'm a pats fan, and PITT is an arrogant bunch of A-holes. They're gritty grimy and trashy, to me anyways. They're dirty. The only guys I like are Roth, Polamalu, Bettis, Miller, and Ward. The rest are just scuzzy.

I just don't see how PITT had the tougher schedule, went in to EVERY home against teams even the Seahawks couldn't even dismantle, and totally wrecked them, and yet, nobody sides with PITT winning.

To me, it's all a charade to show that this year's Superbowl will be nothing but a blow out with a crappy half time show. As much as people DID NOT want the Pats in it, at least you could count on them to put together 3 exciting superbowls with clutch kicks from Vinny T. That won't happen in this game.

One thing Ben should watch for is the Sea Hawks secondary. THEY'RE vultures. Jake the Snake was chucking the ball, and SO many missed INT's occurred when 4-5 guys were in the area. They're just beasts.

who has seattle beat? If their division wasnt so bad they wouldnt of got a first round bye and home field. They suck on the road, they only win at home. Sure they won 5 games on the road but it was against tennesee, philadelphia, san fran, arizona and stl.

The Steelers on the other hand, have a better record on the road then at home. They're the first 6th seed team to even make it to the conference championship. They went into indy and beat the colts in a game that they were 9 point underdogs. Then they went all the way across the country and beat denver who never loses at home.

Seattle is a good team but not quite an ELITE team. Not good enough to beat the Steelers in the superbowl. Even though Ben is in his 2nd year and Matt is in his 7th, i think Ben will handle the pressure better. Im expecting Matt to have a sloppy game, and Shaun Alexander wont do much against the tough steelers run d.

Its like taking candy from a baby for the Steelers.

Cmon, you think Seattle is in the same league as Indy and Denver? If Pittsburgh took care of them, Seattle should be nothing.

The Colts beat teams averaging .457 this year. The Seahawks beat teams averaging .430 this year. By that metric (which isn't the greatest, but it's something) the Seahawks are roughly in the same league.

Nobody sides with Pittsburgh winning? Come on, have you read anything NOT from Seattle that gives the Seahawks a chance in hell? Do you guys even watch football? There's so much East Coast bias in here I can't breathe.

The Colts lost because it's hard to call your plays at the line of scrimmage when your shorts are full and your head is spinning and your quarterback's last name is Manning. The Seahawks line is so good you could drive a truck into the left side. And saying Bettis is unstoppable at the goal line, but discounting Alexander's red zone ability is just ignorant.

Seattle have a better QB, a better RB, a far better line. They're at least equal at WR and CB. The Steelers have a slight edge at LB, and obviously Polamalu is good. I'd take a Super Bowl winner over a Super Bowl loser as my coach any day, too.

The Seahawks don't suck as much as everyone who's never seen them play thinks.

Alexander is good, but he doesn't have the driving power of bettis.and as far as a better line, that is questionable as far as you look at steelers line, they are generally known for a good line. Been that way for years. Not the best line, but damn good.

as you mentioned, polamalu is a great steeler benefit.

But all of you need to watch out, the Bucs are gonna win it next year!

Go Buccaneers!!!:cheer:

The Seahawks are going to win. They are not going to fall victim to a predictable blitz every play. Seattle's gameplan is stronger.

Alexander was the best red zone back in the league this year. Bettis has all these "intangibles" but no stats back up that he's better in the red zone. Advantage: Seahawks.

Good close game. Although I still think Roethisberger didnt score that TD... Retard ref. Final score shoud have been 10-14... Theres always next year and chances are we're gonna keep Alexander.

This game was stupid.

Early in the 4th quarter, Hasselback throws to the 1 yard line, and it's most likely they would have scored a TD from there. The game would have been 17-14 for Seattle and changed the complexion of the game.

But instead the ref gives a phantom call of "holding" and gives them a 10 yard penalty instead. Upon replay, there was absolutely no holding. That's the game.
