I dont know if women catch less flack... the girls I know that got found out were immediately shunned and called out as wh0res. That's usually how it works

Looking back on my life, the times I met the worst women was after painful and scandalous breakups.

*POOF* Like magic I was surrounded by psycho-b!tches galore. I was not over the betrayal and disgust. I was attracting these kinds of people precisely because I was so focused on the BS, almost like I had wished them into my life!

As soon as I got my life back together and had forgiven them, all these shady motherfukkers vanished just like they had appeared. And I'm talking real forgiveness, like you see your ex on the street without getting a mouthful of pre-vomit and the urge to strike someone

Regardless, it does suck that these things are so commonplace and sometimes it's enough to ruin your faith. But you wont really be free until you let go of the pain.

OK I'll take what you said at face value and accept that you've never cheated yet. But the term not cheating, that's kind of meaningless because it's not like you are married and staying married or anything like that. Instead in these "realtionships" you simply just lose all attraction for the perfectly fine guy you're with and branch swing to the next guy. There's little difference. And don't deny it, I can tell you are a branch swinger.

I am not slamming one gender. There are a few behaviors that women engage in that ARE more specific to that gender (such as branch swinging) that really do bother me at times. I take it personally, although I know it's not personal. It just kills me to be the one who plays a "fair" game where everyone else breaks all the rules.

Branch swinging is a sign of weakness. Be glad there is such an easy sign to see! Saves you a lot of drama. Most cheating is also a sign of weakness. See? By avoiding branch swingers, you avoid cheaters!

As much as you hate branch swingers, I hate men who get in relationships of convienence.

I cannot figure out why Hollywood makes movies about women who cheat on their husband/fiance and promote itr as a "love story" . The first one to mind is "TITANIC". The story is quite blatantly about a women on a cruise ship who fukks some cute 'bad boy' who makes her 'feel' something that her fiance does not. Of course her fiance is portrayed as boring and very starched up, and those qualities apparently justified her cheating. The whole movie was a celebration of a women fukking a stranger because she "felt" like it.
I wonder how many real world women followed her example.

Secondly when did you ever see a movie which promoted and celebrated a MAN cheating on his fiance because of his infatuation with another woman ?

i loved the notebook too, and i cried at the end when the old couple died in each other's arms.
most people never encounter such a love story in their life times, so when you watch a movie about one, it makes you cry and reach for the tissue.
i'm not saying that i want to live a life just like that movie, i have my own. however, i would like to credit whomever wrote it, as it was a great story of intertwined lives with a good ending.

I know plenty of hot, talented, smart women who are very loyal to their spouses/boyfriends.

I work in the advertising industry, which is pretty high-stakes, extremely competitive and not for the faint of heart...I deal with shady people ALL the time. I love every minute of it though...I learned to filter out the bad...

Also the guy was basically an AFC waiting and pining over the girl for years. Yep! this is the universal female justification for any, or all, of their atrocious behavior.

The older I get the more jaded ( another word for aware) I get.

I know an ex cop (Frank) who is also a Vietnam Vet. Good guy -tough guy.
He has been infatuated with a woman 20 years younger than he is for 5 years. She has left him three times to shack up with other men and Frank takes care of her 3 children until she eventually comes by to collect them. He drives 'em to school and soccer and so on. When she has fukked her new B/f enough to hook him in she comes by to get her kids.
After a few months the new guy discovers what she is really like and tosses her a$$ out , she calls Frank and cries and sobs ,"poor me" and he goes over and rescues her.
MY buddy takes her back every time she breaks up these new guys and NOW( a week ago) he slipped a ring on her finger and he asked her to marry him..

Some men just never 'get it.'

Didn't read all of the replies but...

I was raised to believe that every woman out there is an angel to be put on a pedastal and that you should be nice to a woman and treat them with respect, that men were dogs who cheated on their women, etc.

Since then I have learned some lessons the very hard way about how some women are sluts and will do/ say anything to justify their slutty ways. It's funny (and sad) that with my experience and the things I have learned on this site I can spot the closet slut a mile away and even when I was single would just avoid them. I don't need the drama or diseases in my life.
