Simply said:
1) The US is an aggressive nation, and will therefor be more likely to invade China, than the other way around
2) When the US invades China (at most, 200K troops on the first assault), they will face not only the entire Chinese army, but also 1.3 billion pissed off civilian gurellias who are NOT going to be happy about being invaded by Westerners again.
3) Maintaining supply lines will have to be done exclusively by air, especially with Chinese civilian resistance. The US will also be limited to attacking east China, since west China doesnt have enough infrastructure to invade properly.
4) The US and Chinese governments will not likely use any WMD. Unlike Iraq and North Korea, both the US and China are led by sane, stable governments.
