How about a comment from a Gunlet?
Something hit me today just thinking back to decades ago when I was a teenager in high school, things were different. Even social media was different because it hadn't gotten to the point it has right now. I cannot start to wrap my head around how much has changed even in the past decade. Even when we look back to 2012, sure you had dating apps but the dating apps back then were actually real. I remember getting on Tinder and legit every match being a real woman as opposed to day where it is mostly robots and OnlyFan girls.
I remember the first iteration of dating apps like PlentyOfFish, before the time you specify, as being quite the wasteland. I didn't get into Tinder at that time because by then I was completely in GeoMax mode, although I tried a bit in the local OLD, with some success. I did detect a lot of pros on OLD (they were overpriced

).
Even cold approaching was different because it was a relatively new enough concept and communities like RSD were bubbling with activity.
I remember PUA lairs (or whatever they were called). I remember one member who ended up picking up and banging a cow, and I thought "what's the point?".
A big thing I have done 2021 onwards is put a lot more effort into game and taken self-improvement seriously since I am so set in a lot of areas of my life.
Self-improvement is to PU success like efficiency is to an economy - at the end of the day, it's the only thing that really matter, with everything else being gimmicks. The question is how to self-improve enough to make a difference. Yes, one can lift, but the meme of the GymCel shows that that is nowhere near enough. Bad-jaw plastic surgery? And how is a ShortCel supposed to improve in that regard? Leg-lengthening? Platform shoes?

That said, starting out from some base level, anything can be amplified - but the stupid, dorky Chad will still effortlessly get something while the SelfImprovementMaxxed normie will have to bust his balls to get just a chance to get lucky.

IMO, a lot of guys are going to voluntarily take themselves out of the game. I think men have way too many comfortable avenues to even bother with putting int the effort to learn game and invest in a lot of self-improvement. Not only do men have these avenues, there are also not a lot of easily accessible pickup programs anymore since it has gone underground.
I think it's the effort-payoff ratio - which is something that YouTube philosopher Aaron Clarey says men as they mature rationally come to the conclusion that the ratio is too low, much to the detriment of the harridans complaining about "where are the men?".

This is also the meme of the "Beautiful Mice" in the famous Mouse Utopia experiment.
The gap between the rich and the poor will get even wider than it is, I think 80-20 will turn into 10-90.
I am great believer in the concept of equilibrium action. A spectrum of PUAs will put in a certain amount of effort and get a certain amount of success - some will say it is worth it, and will continue at it; while others will say it's not worth it, and drop out, thus leaving a higher ratio of targets-to-hunters. But what is the elasticity of that equilibrium? Will there being fewer PUAs mean more poon for those still left in the game, or will it simply mean more women dropping out and getting a sperm-donor baby daddy?
However, I do think that the men who genuinely put in the work, go through the grind, keep a positive mindset in a world where negativity is now king, and truly invest in themselves will see even bigger rewards from avenues like daygame for example.
It is a mathematical certainty that someone that tries will not have a lower rate of success than someone that does not try. As for daygame, I think it will need to become more subtle, which means a lower success ratio than in the past.
As a result, I think that it will be a lot easier to be in the top 10% of men than it would have been decades ago because most of your competition would have voluntarily vowed out.
LastManStandingGame? I think the main reason this works is that as the adherents get older, the targets get older, and eventually the sexual market adjusts as men drop out (i.e., because the reward of a harridan is less motivating

). The 10% that will be quitting will be the ones that haven't been that successful, and so them dropping out would not change the sexual market (i.e., it's like a lot of poor people moving away from a city not having any effect on the upscale retailers there, since they weren't buying anything anyway).
