So they're attractive for this reason.
Because sometimes you see the pros, and you don't see the cons.
You can be confident and have a real IDGAF attitude without being a narcissist.
Just like you can be a masculine man without being a 'bad boy'.

Disagree.

It's yet another way how men bully/alienate one another. Mental illness is a real thing.

Posts like this makes a man craawl even more into his shell and maybe even stop him from getting the help he needs.

There's a fine thin line between beinh a so-called whiner and being actually mentally sick.
Men always bully each other.

If you take it personal, you aren't doing it right.

It's not personal, bro.

AFib is no joke. I had a single episode about 10 years ago and I thought I was having a heart attack...my heart was literally going crazy.

Got to the hospital and they were all non-chalanat and were like "Oh yeah, you are just having an AFib episode, you'll be fine."

Meanwhile they have me hooked up to machine monitoring my vitals and I am watching my heart rate bounce around between 60 and 150 randomly and trying not to freak out because I could feel my heart going all over the place and beating erratically.

Never had another episode but have to take medicine for it or have a procedure called an ablation to fix it but they don't always fix it the first time and sometimes you need to have it done two or three times to fix it and the only way you'll know is by going into another AFib episode.

Fvck that...I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Scariest sh!t I ever experienced.

Only positive is now I have to see a cardiologist yearly and have had multiple EKG's, echoes and stress echoes done over the years and my heart is in perfect health. Essentially I will likely know if I have a problem well before most people would that don't have these things done and just randomly have a CV event one day.
They have you scared now, so you go back again and again.

They tried the same thing on me with an irregular heartbeat.

I went in specifically for this to be checked. They tell me they don't know what causes it, and a lot of people have it. I need to see a cardiologist.

I go to see the specialist, and he makes me feel stupid for being there, tells me my heart looks great.

Meanwhile, my irregular heartbeat stops on it's own (Pretty sure it was stress induced).

I think most health problems can be cured with keto and intermittent fasting.

And lowering your stress levels by avoiding stressors.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Sorry dude but that's a bunch of bullsh!t.

Nobody "has me scared", I simply never want to experience what I did again.

Why? Well, if you ever had it you'd know. The fact that you claim you did but seem to be cool with it makes me think you are writing a work of fiction.

I come off as arrogant on here. Not always my intention.

My mom has afib and recently had surgery to have it corrected. My uncle had the same surgery some years ago. Afib is no joke. I will probably need surgery one day.

But the science behind an irregular heart beat is bullsh1t. They literally don't know what to tell you. I reckon I'm early onset, so I'd have to wear a monitor for weeks for them to catch it, and even then they couldn't stop it

An irregular heartbeat isn't necessarily afib, either.

You'd have to be on a monitor for it to be classified as such.

I have an irregular heartbeat occasionally, but it isn't afib

I was put through the health care wringer, only to ultimately hear that there was nothing they could do anyway.

And if you lose weight, cut out alcohol, caffeine and nicotine, you minimize your chances of experiencing it.

If life is worth living after cutting out those things, is up to you lol

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

I went in to see the cardiologist. They took a scan of my heart. They told me my heart was in great condition. I asked why I'm having an irregular heartbeat. They said it's usually genetic and there was nothing they could do about it.

They wanted to send me to more "specialists." I said fvck you guys, I'm going home.

Stress was what induced mine, I know. I cut out the stressor (my job) and I was ok after.

An irregular heartbeat, from my research, is usually caused by anxiety. So if you want to stop it, best to look at the underlying causes, not see a doctor that doesn't know how to stop it (barring surgery) and wants to put you through the wringer, racking up thousands of needless dollars in healthcare

@BackInTheGame78

That was several years ago. It was an eye opening moment for me regarding health care. Nobody knew what to tell me, yet they kept referring me to other doctors that didn't know what to tell me.

I wasn't as well off as I am now, so I was pissed to have to spend the money for some assh0le to tell me he didn't know.

A simple Google search told me everything that they told me. And it was much cheaper, in hindsight.

Afib isn't really a thing in young people. You may have an irregular heartbeat, but I doubt it's afib. Drinking too much and coming down gives everyone an irregular heartbeat, for example (palpitations).

Yeah, I was scared when it happened. That why I went to the doctor. I'd had an irregular heartbeat before, but that episode lasted 4 days non-stop, so I thought I was dying.

Of course, my heart was fine when I finally saw the doctor. And they were more than happy to send me to a specialist. That was more than happy to send me to another specialist.

This isn't the first time doctors have needlessly referred me to other doctors, either.

It means nothing to them to send you somewhere else because they don't have an answer, but when you're paying out of pocket to be treated like an idiot, you notice

The issue it can happen at any time. And for me, I don't care how infrequent it would be, I never want it to happen again.

And untreated it significantly raisss the risk of stroke.

Literally I would rather have a finger chopped off than go thru that again

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

I hear you, but I've been through a few episodes since, and I'm still alive.

I could have gone back to the doctor, but they would tell me fvck off, basically.

That's why I wanted to share my experience with you. So you don't get all worked up about it.

A lot of people experience it and it doesn't mean you're dying :)

I learned it the expensive way lol

Where's the fun in Keto and intermittent fasting?
Life gets boring as you get older.

When I was younger, constantly discovering new avenues of information, I had an eagerness.

I've lost that as I've gotten older. There isn't much new under the sun, so to speak.

But I get a bit of it when I find new ways to challenge myself.

Cold showers are an easy one. Intermittent fasting is too, but I've been doing that for 15 years (16/8). So now I'm gonna go for a 40 hour fast, once or twice a week.

Why not?

You are also significantly increasing your odds for stroke because Everytime it happens you have a much higher risk of throwing a blood clot.

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) increases the risk of stroke five to seven times, and up to 25% of strokes in the elderly are caused by AFib. AFib-related strokes are more severe than other types of strokes and can lead to bedridden status or death.

But I mean you are cool I guess...you can tell all your friends and family you are playing Russian Roulette with your life or your ability to talk/walk/think by increasing your odds of a serious stroke 500-700%.

How does afib increase your odds of stroke by 700%?

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) increases the risk of stroke because the irregular heartbeat causes blood to pool in the heart's upper chambers, which can lead to the formation of blood clots that can travel to the brain and block blood flow, resulting in a stroke; this is particularly likely to occur in the left atrial appendage, a small pouch in the left atrium where blood can easily stagnate.
