I reckon they can evolve past it
Hi Vending Machine,
Just how long does adaptation to a new diet take, there is not much solid research out there, and in the current political Climate there wont be.

My uncle avoided carbs and he still died from lung cancer.

Carbs should definitely go, though
Carbs are the best energy source. Do not avoid carbs.

People in 2025 don’t seem to be capable of nuanced ideas.

All carbs are not created equal. Cookies and potato chips are not the same as fruit, sweet potatoes, and legumes. It is difficult to overconsume healthy carbs. They are too filling and contain too much fiber.

This is why you should smoke your pretzels from a bong and not a pipe.

That being said, processed sugar is the main thing you want to avoid. Simple carbs after that. Complex carbs are ok.

Diets are for chicks.

Eat smart and in balance. Simple as that.

As for carbs: Veggies & fruits yes. Anything that raises your glucose too much (bread, pasta etc) keep to a minimum. It's not rocket science.

If you're cutting out foods you like completely, or starving yourself, you've been cucked by the diet industry.

I understand your sentiment but this statement might be a little bit over the top.

We are all addicted to bad food, even when we don't eat it. If I say" bigmac" 99% of us taste it immediately even though we're in different countries. Like alcoholics who don't drink, it's hardwired in our systems.

A diet can and oftentimes MUST be implemented in order to achieve a certain type of physique. I don't think it's wise to shyte on dieting because it takes tons of discipline to pull it off.

Some people have jobs that force them to sit down all day and thus it will be hard to achieve a calorie deficiency even if they would be in the gym everyday. The best next thing to do then is to adjust the meal plan.

I did carnivore for a several months a few years back, and felt great. Shredded a ton of subcutaneous fat around my torso, and it resolved any GI issues I had (occasional bloating/constipation/gas) and my bowel movements were always quick and easy. Energy levels felt kinda similar to keto, stable and flat, but no dips or valleys. Mood was great and brain fog was eliminated. I really don't think this is merely the result of an "elimination" diet, but something else that really warrants more investigation. For instance, when you don't eat carbs your body doesn't need vitamin C because glycogen apparently increases your bodies needs for vitamin C by several magnitudes. I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg.

That said, I didn't stick with it mainly because it was boring as hell to eat the same shvt all the time. And as of now, I think fad/meme diets are kind of stupid, as are counting calories and macros, because it takes the focus off quality of ingredients and puts it on arbitrary things. For instance, people who insist on gluten-free diets end up eating tons of gluten free products that are processed and high in sugar, or vegans end up buying "vegan meat" which are all extremely processed frankstein products full of bullcrap that is terrible for you.

I think the key to eating well is to solely focus on eating high quality, whole foods, and paying attention to how your body feels after the foods make you feel. For instance, in my case most carbs make me feel like garbage, but I can eat a giant bowl of rice with protein and feel great afterwards. I can even eat pizzas that are made with fresh, unprocessed ingredients and feel fantastic after. Takes some trial and error to hone in your diet and find out how your body responds. I do not believe in the "one size fits all" diet advice that has certain axioms that must be followed and must be applied to everyone. Everyone has a different biochemistry and gut biome and some foods may be appropriate for one person, and not the other. Just listen to your body.

Ancient humans found carbohydrates the hardest to obtain, versus protein and fat, which is the exact opposite of a grocery store today. Cooking food was invented to cook plant material that could not be digested otherwise. As disgusting as this is to us, they buried freshly killed animals in the ground and then returned months later. Decomposition made the meat digestible.

What's up everyone hope y'all had a great weekend.

Anybody has any experience with the carnivore diet?

Every video about it got hundreds of positive comments saying that people lost weight, skin looked better ,full of energy ect. Very bot like. I need some confirmation. I saw one about the eggs and steak diet for example.

Is it really that great?
Unnecessary, cultish, and yet another diet that supposedly cures nearly all ills.

eating too many passionate foods like Junk Food, steak, bbqued meats, vegetable oil especially, garlicky oniony food, saucy etc…..leads you to a passionate state of mind comes bed time and leads to masturbation addiction and would lead you spiritually drained and deflated, feeling like crap the next day.

What you want to do is eat a diet of comfort food…Lots of Vegetables and fruits, no red meat or pork, steamed chicken, venison, rice, beans and milk. If you’re lifting weights, bulking up, use natural whole grain powder.

You also want to have Good sleep hygiene and use that time as a good spiritual session to prepare for the next day. Take a cold shower, meditate, knock up a few push ups, read the scriptures and pray before bed. If you’re getting demonically attacked by demons because of urges to masturbate, keep reciting this mantra while in bed, this is the Orthodox mantra of Jesus - ‘ Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me a sinner’. Keep reciting that to yourself until the urges goes away and the bliss of the lord is upon you.

Your semen is your life force, cultivating it and harnessing it will you make you into a better man of character and integrity.

Unnecessary, cultish, and yet another diet that supposedly cures nearly all ills.
But what if it did in fact cure their ailments?

There are 3 explainations, the first two are guilty of reductio ad absurdum and lazy thinking imo.

1) 100% placebo, which can be a very powerful force of nature.
2) The "elimination" diet aspect cut out pro-inflammatory foods and other unhealthy bullcrap like sugar, seed oils, trans fats, and all other processed garbage.
3) Everyone has different genetics, biochemistry, gut biomes, etc and some can genuinely benefit from diets that others would not, which explains why some people have benefit from carnivore, others have benefit from vegan, etc. No two bodies are the same.

I'm inclined to go with 3, but given that this would introduce an insane amount of complexity to the health industry, no one wants to open that door since diet advice has to have mass-market appeal, it needs to be a packaged one-size fits all approach that is easily sold, instead of tailoring (which requires the individual to experiment themselves). For this reason I do think anyone who promotes the carnivore diet is guilty too, you shouldn't promote any type of diet, instead just bring awareness that it's an option.

I cannot rule out the elimination diet or placebo, and maybe it's an element, but you gotta ask yourself how someone can eat nothing but meat for years and feel great, this runs counter to so much of what we hear, this should result in all sorts of ill health consequences and death according to what we hear from the mainstream. So I think this warrants more investigation. But we haven't done real food studies in decades, the kind where you have individuals on a controlled type of diet for years and years and observe them. All diet related "science" today is based around self reported surveys and correlations, that's not real science.

I’ve come full circle. I followed an almost carbobre diet and ended up in hospital.
there’s always “studies” but the bulk of research shows red meat isn’t good for you. I meet a lot of health professionals and they all say the same: fruits, vegetables, limit red meat and processed foods .

I have a very rare condition which means inflammation I physically feel. The two things which are agony are refined wheat and processed red meat.

I got hospitalised off a keto diet which was mainly meat. Lost a **** ton of weight but 6 months of check ups for my liver and spleen convinced me these diet are bull**** and you need cruciferous vegetables, and a range of vegetables and minerals.

doctors recommended med diet to recover and that worked very well.

potassium for example you won’t ever get enough from meat. You’ll likely eat a lot of salt eating carnivore so will probs end up with high blood pressure.

note that there’s a whole industry of people who are probably more intelligent than many of us who have dedicated their lives to understanding diet and health, and very few of them think eating meat only is a good thing, just a few shock jocks who generally have a book and a meal plan for sale

Your missing out on the vitamins i get from beef.

I think eggs are high in biotin and vitamin d. So is meat.

I don't think you can get those from beans.

More importantly, they pack protein
Only if it's grass fed organic.

If it's standard run of the mill beef you are getting an assload of highly inflammatory Omega-6 fatty acids and other inflammatory compounds from very sick animals.
