Nay because it's unnecessarily restrictive.
Those overly positive comments probably come from people who were eating the standard American diet (ie lots of junk) so when they cut out all that crap, of course they'll see improvements.

But if you stick to a whole foods diet, then what's the point in eliminating things like cocoa or fruit?

I've seen people who are obviously on steroids fearmongering on potatoes and nuts. :rolleyes:
Whoever fears a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and some cheese because 'that's not carnivore, bro' has some serious issues. :zip:

The bean-eater will prosper later into life than the beef eater will. Not even debatable from a medical standpoint.
Your missing out on the vitamins i get from beef.

I think eggs are high in biotin and vitamin d. So is meat.

I don't think you can get those from beans.

More importantly, they pack protein

Like how you can’t get fiber from beef.

The difference health wise why beans are better for long term health vs beef come down to three things-

1) Fat content - Red meat is high in Saturated Fat. Go research the correlation between saturated fat and mortality

2) Gut Health- Beans feed your micro biome, supporting healthy guts. The gut has a huge effect on your overall health. Go research what beef does to the gut biome.

3) Cooking process - beef is often cooked at high heat and significantly longer than beans. Cooking meat releases a host of carcinogenic compounds. Take a gander at beef consumption and cancer, especially colon cancer.

I like red meat, but you certainly shouldn’t be eating it often. Every ounce of red meat you replace with beans is health promoting.

I don't like the idea of restricting what foods you eat (well, sugar is bad for you). You're closing off a lot of avenues of nutrition, vitamins and minerals that only come in certain foods. And as has been pointed out, you need fiber to keep your bowels moving. I don't know why you would want to choose such an extreme diet, do the keto bit for awhile if you want to move in that direction.

" A balanced diet" sounds like it makes sense.

Best explanation to why so many folks are positive about it is the argument that American food is crap ( it's known that the EU prohibited many ingredients used in US food,but that's a story for another time my friends!)

If you look passed that argument then that I still can't comprehend why so many people swear on this diet.

Because it is an elimination diet. Carnivore, Keto, Mediterranean, Whole-foods plant based all have in common that they ditch processed junk food. That doesn’t make carnivore “healthy.” It just has the benefit of eliminating some common bad shvt.

No opinion on cheesecake. Can’t say I recommend it although it is a dessert so I assume it’s not something anyone really eats outside of special occasions.

Bread, pasta, and rice are all good if they are whole grain. Rice should be brown or black.

Don’t do it OP. It’s a good way to die earlier.

We are omnivores, albeit it closer to the grass eaters than the meat eaters. You should be eating a ton of fruits and vegetables. Be prudent with your animal based protein sources (fish and lean meats).

Generally agree with you,but I think that those with ancestry from the Atlantic fringe should eat lots of dark green veg....Linus Pauling in his essays on the benefits of Vitamin C,claimed such people being close to the glacier never roamed inland during the Winter,eating what they could forage on the rocks and beaches,when pickings became lean they filled their bellies with Atlantic Kale,he thought about 2.5 pounds a Day...I have found the ideal substitute in American Collards,so easy to grow yet soo nutritious.

The only food worth eating among that list is Rice if Brown,but if you have as Hanoi Jane pointed out Genes and Money then you will be OK.
