It must be the rap wars between 50 Cent and Jadakiss or Fat Joe! Ban all rap now!!!!!!!!!!! They encourage and instigate violence with weaponry!!!

Is the blame on the video games and Eminem...or does it lie with the parents?

Not Eminem...Marilyn Manson...and video games.

The boy was picked on about his appearance, his father killed himself 4 years ago and his mother is in a nursing home with a brain injury from a car accident. Such a tragic and horrible thing for this kid to do...but you still can't help but feel bad for him.

Two kids get picked on about their appearance, is a social outcast and other stuff happens to him.

One grows up to be Mystery - one of the most successful PUA's and a wealthy man (Mystery Method workshops are about $2000 a pop with 10 guys... that's $12,000 for one weekend of teaching guys PU skills), the other goes on to shoot up the school.

Parents need to keep a tighter rein on kids these days. Let them earn their privileges, and discipline them when they get stupid like this.

This particular kid didn't have parents. His father killed himself 4 years ago and his mother got a brain injury in a car accident and is in a nursing home as a result. Combine that with being picked on and you could almost predict something tragic happening. :(

If a song or video gang made him do it then he was ****ed in the head in the first place, and was always liable to do it.

I don't believe in video game or TV violence. I've been playing some of the most violent games ever made, some banned in half the world, and I don't go around shooting people I don't like (yet).

The kid was already f*cked in the head. Bullying just brought it out.

In that case some of the world's most successful men must have been secretly killing people for fun.

Alternatively, some of the most nutty serial killers had great parents.

I'm not the one blaming the parents or any one thing. My point is that the kid had a tough life and you can see how this could happen. That doesn't mean every kid who goes through that kind of stuff is going to make those same choices. I never said that. I just think the whole story is so sad...including what that kid was dealing with. It's tragic all the way around.

Yes, I can see how it happened. Yes, I also believe its tragic.

But that's not going to help the 13 kids who got shot.

I'd rather focus my efforts on helping normal people who are suffering, than retarded serial killers who are suffering.

Sure he may have been messed up by his parents(or lack of them), but in the end it was his conscious choice to shoot his grandparents, bring a gun to school and start blasting away at other people before shooting himself.if he wanted to go out he could have shot himself in some basement and not fvck up lives of other random bystanders. scum like that gets no sympathy from me.

For anyone to do what this kid did, they can't be all there psychologically. He likely killed the grandparents so they wouldn't have to live with any shame for what he was going to do.. (meaning that was probably his rationalization of it). It's also very likely that he targeted kids and teachers who he felt were mean to him. No, it doesn't make it okay...only saying that when a kid targets kids and teachers it's usually not random unless someone tries to stop them.

high school is rough man, this is a new era of youthful behavior that is acting out to this difficult experience of 'coming of age'. Alot of kids (myself included) feel like that have nobody in high school to go to. Alot of kids retreat inside but some people just can't get the issues that they face everyday out of their head so they need to do something to vent. Teachers see these kids as a nusance in their positions of power, peers see them as worthless losers, parents and adults see them as hopeless. I look at these shootings as a cry for help from all kids around our society that are just looking for some kind of answers to their pain.

what issues?
some "popular girl" wont even look at him or some bigger kid picked on him? big deal. in some other countries 50 kids sit on buckets in a classroom the size of an outhouse, while hoping not to get hit by a stray on the way home. hows that for issues?

What may seem like an issue that is not worth bringing up to you, is something that can deeply affect someone else. It is all relative. Does that mean that kids these days are crazy when they care about their image and social status? No! This is due to the way we live.

As you may know, morals and values differ from society to society, and so does the notion of happiness. A lot of kids are not comfortable in their own skin, and sometimes, they can't confide in anyone, not even their own parents.

The best way to help these kids out is to encourage values of tolerance and open-mindedness starting in grade school. That way, the different "cliques" in society (goths, preps, jocks, etc.) can blend together and live in harmony. And I am not talking idealistically, since I have witnessed schools like that, and the key to that state of being is a good education.

This kid posted messages on nazi.org before he shot up his school. He really studied Hitler and hated black culture, or so he posted. What I find hillarious is that nazi.org is a Libertarian National Socialist Green Party site. LOL. I did not know such things of absurdity even existed. I mean, a party that is for individual's rights and freedoms, and wants less government yet has socialist in the name and that wants to save the enviornment while purifing the races!

The kid was a neo nazi - what were you expecting?

He embraces the mindset that brought us Auschwitz and we're surprised when he shoots 12?

I don't believe in the freedom to be a Nazi. Allow their ideas to spread at your own peril.

This is another tragic shooting to happen in our state. Today I watched the ceremony at the Capital Building to honor this tragedy. Our Senate Majority Leader Dean Elton Johnston (Willmar) told our class today some details in this case that the general public is not supposed to know. This isn't just a kid gone crazy, he had some serious problems. This is the 2nd worst english school in Minnesota and the 3rd worst in math. The school has barbed wire around the grounds for god's sake.
