I don't know your BF man! if you're like 18-20%

175/0.81= 142 lbs PURE MUSCLE!

with 10% BF that's 142*1.1 = 156 lbs ! That's good!

hmm. i have lost 4lbs in one day of cutting. is this water weight that should be substracted from 175lbs. so that you should do 171/0,81. also is this normal that 2kg are lost in first day??

yeah, pretty much. I lost around 2 kg too when I began. Your glykogen binds water so when your reserve stores kick in, you loose alot of excess water.

Also... you're not eating the same volume of food. I mean.. if you're eating a shytload of food while bulking... you may eat 2 -3 pounds a day at least... drop that down... and combine the drop in actual food with water weight, you lose weight at the beginning pretty quick.

Right, so im losing some motivation here - think im just gonna maintain my current weight til after the summer (about 165lbs) as i seriously dont have enough money to buy extra food/protein.

Also, im cutting six weeks before the 27th august to get cut for my hols in gran canaria (any of you guys going there this summer?)

I will seriously bulk up after summer - im aiming for about 1.5/2g protein per pound bodyweight.

One more thing, ive changed workouts but im still not gaining (ok diet is a massive part but still...)

Can anyone recommend a good 3 DAY SPLIT using free weights, a bench, power rack, dip bar, pull up bar, lat bar pulldown etc...

Thanks all.

hey double, its just that my gains have totally stopped and i cant afford any extra food etc so im just maintaining my weight now (which, to me, is a waste of time - i wanna be building up all the time!)

I tried different workouts but im still plateau-ing! strength gains have also come to a halt.

any tips? thanks.

btw im def NOT gonna stop working out, if i can get through times like this itll just make me better! :)

Monday:
Squats 2 x 5
Box squats 2 x 4
Leg presses 2 x 5 (pick 2 of the three listed as long as one is squats)
Calves (your choice of exercise) 2 x 10

Wednesday:
Wide grip flat bench 2 x 6 (index fingers on the rings)
Decline medium grip bench 2 x 6 (pinkies on the rings)
Weighted dips 2 x 10
Upright rows or side laterals 1 x 10

Friday:
Dead lifts (rotate variations each week) 2 x 5
reverse hypers, pull thrus or glute ham raise 1 x 10-15
Bent over rows 2 x 4
Reverse grip narrow grip pull downs 2 x 6
Standing wide grip curls 2 x 8 (or your favorite curl here)

Try that for a few weeks. HEAVY!

UPDATE

So im still stuck at about 165lbs (damn electrical scales keep giving different results!) and about 22% bf (high i know but will cut soon).

Im not the strongest/biggest as my training probably hasnt been the best so from now on ill stick in my max lift and reps for some of those major exercises starting with:

SQUAT
66kg with 4 reps

My 1rm would be more but im not interested in 1rm's as they mean nothing to me at the moment.

DEADLIFT - STIFF LEGGED
66kg with 5 reps (form not the best)

Going back on creatine soon too.

i dont know anyone how can do this but i have talked to a huge guy that looks like he can but only benches 90kg for reps....so his max is probably around 110-120kg. i heard from many huge guys in forums that their bench max is around 150kg or less. so i come to the conclusion that it is a lot easier to look like you can than to actually bench 400lbs

yo double, i didn't ask if you'd seen a big guy or a lard ass that wasn't as strong as he looked, i was saying how many times have you seen a little guy that was able to squat 600 and bench 400....

...the point is, to move heavy weight, your body will get bigger.

yo semag, i dont deny this fact and personally i do pretty low reps, but i have seen this arguments before and it always pisses me off. 400lbs bench get a ****ing clue no former skinny guy will ever be able to bench this, at least not me or do you think someone with starting weight 50lbs can do this with such genetics. i dont want to hear these ridicolous numbers it's enough when you say the stronger you get the stronger you will look. ridicolous numbers i hate em

oh, and i dont mean you semag with my rant i am talking to all the "wise" people with decades of training, great genetics, maybe some cycles and then talking **** about 500lbs bench. yes skinny guy you only need to increase your bench from 100lbs to 500lbs and you will be huge IT IS THAT EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

omg sorry again i didnt rant on you only on the guys who bench 500lbs and brag about it and talk **** to people i always needed to get this off my chest --->**** YOU:down:

Hey guys, right still no real gains so I think im gonna do a full body workout twice a week with a back/shoulders workout in between, something like this (about three sets of each):

MONDAY
-----------

Squats
SL Deads
Bench
Barbell Curls
Dips
Chin Ups

WEDNESDAY:
----------------

Shrugs
Bent Rows
Military Press
Deads
Pull Ups

FRIDAY:
----------

Squats
SL Deads
Bench
Barbell Curls
Dips
Chin Ups

I need bigger arms! And my arms tend to recover within 48hrs so ill see how this goes...

Comments? Double, Life, Semag?

Cheers.

i'd say if you're gonna try that.... cut the volume down to 2 sets on any one part max.
