When i was living in Boston in the mid 2000's i was part of the pickup artist community.

That's great! That was when the pickup artist community was near its prime. Neil Strauss released "The Game" about the PUA community in September 2005.

I started to read some content about pickup while I was in college. I was in college from 2001-2005. I was never part of a pickup artist community then. This was the beginning of my effort to kill the nice guy that I had been.

You had been immersed in pickup culture then. You joined SoSuave in 2002 and that was a part of pickup too.

When in-person initiation was the primary way to meet women, most men focused on bar approaching as compared to the non-bar options.

For the most part i used in person meeting to meet women that i picked up.

That was the right decision. In 2024 and 2025, that's the right decision. There is less of an in-person approaching culture now.
