I fundamentally disagree with this analysis. I think BF% and insulin sensitivity are directly caused by food choices, with the sole exception that Type 2 Diabetes has a strong likelihood of being hereditary.

I don't like prescribing blame to factors that one cannot control (insulin sensitivity) because the ONLY part of this which you could control is the food you put in your mouth. Regardless of insulin sensitivity or not, the answer is to control what food goes into your body.
There are plenty of things you can take and do that improve insulin sensitivity that don't involve food.

I only use beef isolate now along with bone broth. Just plain isolate…

But honestly I feel eggs are number One!

I eat 20 eggs a week over 5 days

1) True Low carb diets are garbage and 100 g is probably near the lower limits of what is healthy long-term for most people depending on body weight and TDEE.

2) You seem to lack understanding of why you eat more protein. Yes, it is true that once you eat a certain amount of protein it's muscle building effects won't increase anymore. This is due to rate limiting enzymes involved in muscle synthesis. However, what you are not understanding is that protein has a very high thermic effect in the body compared to carbs or fat. 30-40% compared to carbs which are 10-15% or fats which are like 3% or less. This huge thermic effect helps keep your metabolism running at a high level and burning fat and is very beneficial to your body for recomp purposes.

3) Whey is one of the byproducts of separating milk. You know like the old nursery rhyme, "eating your curds and whey"? It's a high quality protein that is high in leucine, the most important amino acid for muscle building since it's the amino acid marker used by the body to check protein levels. However, as I have stated, about half the population is reactive to whey and concentrated dairy in general(see Greek yogurt), and it causes issues. Which is why I substitute Brown Rice and Green Pea proteins as they have a near identical amino acid profile as whey without any of the bloat issues, low grade chronic inflammation or hormonal disruption and dysfunction eventually.
But why are you drinking whey powder? The stuff is like a Lab Experiment. The powder basically looks like something you can find in a Science Lab.

have you ever tried making your own cheeses? I used to have milk kefir going. I made my own yogurt and other things like kefir leben.

why can’t you just go All Natural?

my whole point of resistance to the protein powders is they are so machine processed. It is not fresh either.

anything can be in there

I do. I think you should probably stop giving "advice" on this as you don't seem to know very much about the topic and your advice borders on mostly nonsensical.

Maybe it is because i was born and raised in Australia. We eat more natural foods over there.

in the USA more people eat chemicals. If you tell them Maybe the chemicals are not such a good idea they lose their bananas and defend the lab foodstuffs

protein powder is not edible.

I mean, everything is trying to kill you in Australia anyway...spiders, snakes, lizards, whatever else is poisonous over there...

Cool. Then don't eat it, I don't really care. I use it to supplement the whole, natural, one ingredient foods I already eat, not as a replacement for them.

Agreed. Soy is a hard no.
The one exception I make to this is tempeh.

It's made from fermented soy, the only kind you should ever eat, and is a nutrient dense powerhouse packing 18g of protein per serving and is both pre and pro-biotic rich along with a whole host of nutrients and minerals.

There are a lot of ways you can prepare it, but it is kind of bland by itself so I tend to throw 30-40g in my berry smoothie to get all the benefits and I don't really even taste it.

I really don't understand the hill he is trying to die on against protein powders. If he spent that much time looking into other healthy fats besides butter, it would do him good.

God bless. I can’t eat eggs. Body can’t clear all that cholesterol.

I used egg whites for a bit but the cost to protein ratio just isn’t worth it. Nonfat dairy, beans, and wild caught fish are my go to.

I used to wake up and drink a whey protein shake every morning.
Now a days I drink a green juice and feel good from that plant blood. Juice a whole cucumber, celery stalks, big handful of baby spinach, kale, arugula,1/2 green apple and piece of gingerroot. squeeze of green lime chug it.

I am not a college kid in a fraternity house

i do not use deodorant, i use baking soda. And i take showers daily

i do not take Tylenol. if it was that important i would find a Willow tree and go out there and start knawling off the bark with my bare teeth and hands, because that is what Tylenol was synthesized to mimic, willow tree bark medicine

and it is definitely an uphill battle discussion with this “protein powder”, which in my opinion it is garbage, it is lab food if you are lucky

but continue on if it works for making you look strong. Be sure to Buy The Right Brand!! make sure your Lab Powder does not include any hidden Additives or fillers!! I am sure Lab Protein manufacturers would never do that!!

i actually recommend none of you eat eggs or Beef. Just stick to your Whey, like a good little boy, do as the Lab Manufacturers tell you, follow the rules like a good little clown boy
