I've been on a crusade these past few days, searching and reading up on the essence of what it is to be a man. On my crusade i've come across a few things that have made me nearly barf all over my keyboard. Having sifted through many articles bad mouthing tesosterone in men, I was finally taken back regarding an article about the new type of male that is flooding the 21 century; the Metrosexual"!

Rise of the Metrosexual

If this is true, regarding the Metrosexual, then we are doomed. Seriously.. the big news networks and television networks shun anything with an ounce of "male" in it. Look at beer commericals, they portray us as "beer drinking apes, who have to lie to the wifes just to sneak out of the house to play a round of golf with our other male friends......". Seriously, this is a ****ing joke, and a slap in the face to men. At this rate, we are screwed.. there won't be anymore real men figures to look up to.

I was thinking about what it would be like growing up without a father. Having a friend that lost his father at a close age, it's sickening to see how feminine he is. I've been in several long arguments with him regarding how to treat a woman..

Me: Don't get worked up over a single girl bud.. they will use you, and then toss you away after you become boring. You have to nail them and then toss them away.. you switch the roles.

Him (he's 20 btw): You are soo sick man... all you wanna do is have sex with girls and get rid of them.

Me: Dude, you are a complete ****ing *****.. you have a **** and a set of balls.. use them. You only live once and the fact that you don't present yourself to girls in a sexual way, means that you WONT GET ANYWHERE.

Him: You can't treat girls like dirt.. you have to nuture them and respect them for who they are.

Me: *walks away shaking head.*

Another great example is my friend, who at one time used to be a man. We used to take risks, steal **** from stores, play the game with multiple girls, drink, and basically live the life of a rockstar. He was the ****ing man, but now 3 years later after dating this girl he met back in highschool, he's been transformed into a complete *****. I hate to diss this guy cause he's a close bud of mine, but he's been completely tamed by his girlfriend. It's amazing, as he wont drink, look at other girls, smoke marijuana, or even act like a man when in the presence of his girlfriend. If we're hanging out at his place, he will cower away with his girlfriend on the couch, trying to nurture her quietly, while I sit there staring at his television, left wondering what the **** happened to this great guy.

Anyhow, here are some interesting articles illustrating what many people have been saying. If this pace continues, are children and grandchildren (boys), will be sewing and stitching dresses by the time they are in highschool.

I agree with you, feminized men disgust me. But i don't really know what to make of that article. I like to take good care of myself: get good haircuts, wear good clothes, etc. But i'm not like the guys described there. So i think there's more to it than that. Beckam, for instance, isn't a 'metrosexual, but a glorified homosexual. He wears nail polish and enjoys when men look at him, end of story.

But i don't see this as a problem. Thing is that women are still and always will be drawn to a true MAN, simply because their genes tell them to. So the way i see it, the more of these feminized guys there are out there, the more pvssy all of us are gonna be getting. I think this is a given.

And one last thing, your friend's not all wrong. You're forgetting that we're NOT supposed to be treating women like dirt. People who do that are jerks, which we're not. Sure you can and probably should use women who deserve to be used, but ONLY those women. So he's got the right idea, but he's approaching it from an AFC standpoint, as we all have. I don't think that has anything to do with his father.

For fun, I took an online quiz titled, "Are you a metrosexual?" I answered each question as accurately as possible.

My score was 0 out of 20, and I was called a "lost cause".

Krassus,

Yeah, I might have gone a little harsh on him, but it is necessary to get the point across. He's the kind of guy who would bring flowers to a date, or let her decide on where to go, etc. I always bug him about 'finding his own balls' eventually.

Yeah, the feminized males that i'am referring to, get perms, go tanning, get massages from professionals, get mud baths, etc.
This is sad.

These articles make me feel sick. I imagine the death of the male will happen by 2010. Then all the guys can watch sh1t like Everybody Loves Raymond while I nab all the attractive women.

Hell, more metrosexuals = more attractive women more available.

I in fact welcome this new change.

Finally a thread I can agree on, and not too much on the "storyline" aspect of it, either.

The feminist movement was another work of the devil in my view to emasculate men into nothing more than "robots" for women. I'm glad you finally put into letter what has been going on for many years.

I like this site but I stand behind http://www.nomarriage.com just the same.

Yeah man, exactly.

I kind of worry though. Im wondering if maybee the way women view men (their ideal), shall all of a sudden morph into that of a 'shemale'. I view a shemale, as a male that is truly in touch with his feminine side (pours out his emotions... picture Clint Eastwood or any dominant male figure doing this. lol. ) Also, the fact that the Y-chromosone is in danger of becoming extinct, doesn't help either. I doubt it, but let's hope to god that never happens.

On another note, when I look back on the way that I was brought up, i'm ashamed to say that my mom was the most dominant in the family. She would lecture me on keeping my room 100% clean and tidy (ie. no socks on the floor, bed always made before 9:00am.). Even little things like wiping down the sink area so that no water is left, or making sure that I squat when i take a piss (grade 1-6, then i stopped), and not talking to strangers, have all led to my previous ***** ass behaviour/mentality. I'll admit straight up.... that before I discovered this site, i was a complete PUSH OVER. A genuine nice guy who never said no, who was very indecisive, who was nervous around opposite sex, and who would wait for girls to approach. God.. that was truly sad... I wish I could help others like myself, but then i'd be giving away our secret.

Anyways, the feminist movement is pure evil. The idea that masculinity is bad makes me wonder about people. Masculinity is the driving force that makes a man. Being a man is what gives us passion to imagine ideas, then create them. We act upon our desires (ie. building skyscrapers, building the automobile, etc.).. nearly all inventions are created by man. I'm not bashing women, but masculinity is what has morphed this world into what it is today. I find it surprising how masculinity is shuned, yet in a time of war it is "acceptable" when the country needs to be defended or the family needs security.

Good to see that a select few, have opened their eyes and are viewing this decline in masculinity.

i hereby declare that we start the masculinist movement

forget about all this feminist crap, i think we really need to take a stand against the pussification of man, the metrosexual standpoint, the feminization of the male species or whatever you want to call it.

basically the way i see it going is that the male (as in alpha type, confident, strong etc.) is almost due for extinction. i dont like this at all.

I view most of what women say as a test to see if we would be gullible and eager enough to do it. So, when they say they want a man who will be "sensitive". I'm thinking that if you give in or show a little bit of your "emotional" side, you're catering to her whim.

F*ck that.

It's all about the power, I see it where I work at that there is one MAN general manager at the top and a whole bunch of WOMEN associate managers. And they're clueless about it, too!

As for squatting to pee, damn man that had to be rough! I understand there is a distinction between mother and child and how she decides to raise and wean him/her. But you would think most women would exercise a little more "common sense" in how to raise a child. Looking at some of the stories in the paper alone worries me.

I can also sympathize with how I was raised, I didn't get any real advice on women other than to always treat them "nice and respectable".
--As Joey Pantoliano from the Sopranos once said, "women love the d!ck in a man" and you can't treat them nice and respectable while "showing" them the d!ck.

Also, the media has done a good job of informing the uninformed male of what the world is like and how women are and what to think...etc. In short, masculinity is waning because men aren't acting on what should be nature, but are being told what to think and then "portraying" what he thinks society expects of him. I wonder if there aren't women high up in the media who keep pushing crap like this out and then wondering why masculinity is disappearing...

Women are illogical they don't use reason and can't be trusted with many real word decisions. Their brains are hard wired to communicate to develop a rapport with another person. Whereas man, is an information being.

Men = SoSuave.com website
Women = Instant messaging about nothing!!

To those of you hoping to take all those women who will be "free", I'd think a feminized society would bring on bigger problems to deal with.

I'm done for now.

This is silly... I see nothing wrong with men in our society taking more of an interest in their appearance. This does not take away from their manhood in anyway shape or form. Besides if you look at history you will notice that if you had the money to buy better clothing, get better haircuts etc "men were doing it".. Heck even ages ago rome, egypt; the men were very masculen but looks were extremely important, they wore jewelry and even make up.

Being a man has nothing to do with how you emphasise your looks... Being a real man has to do with honer, responsibility, being humble, honest, trustworthy, strong willed, a man of action is a real man for example just as so you see the real male role models.

It's not hard to tell who is a real man and who isn't... You can speak to a person you can watch their game, if they are action and if their words, thoughts and actions come together as one single path then they are a man.

This whole metro-sexual idea, certainly it has something to do with the times, with media and its brain-washing on being the "good consumer"... using the products, looking this or that way.

But this my friends has nothing to do with ones manhood; although if a man takes more interest in his looks and less in his "craft" or action, education or deed, then by all means he's become the sheep which we all owe our laughter to.

I've had this one friend, who just wouldn't shutup about his shoes, his clothes, such a woman; it digusted me... Got worse and worse, would check his hair 24/7, just wouldnt shutup about his new shoes or suade jacket.... It was pathetic; certain chics dig that but that goes way beyond anything I can put up with. :D

Everyone here should take a step back and just put this whole feminism thing into perspective. It's only been around for about 50 years! And that's is it. That is a hiccup in time compared to human history. Throughout human history men have ruled by strength and cunning.

When **** happens (and it will) women will lose all the power they think they have. The fact of the matter is that women only have power because we let them have it! We could take it back any time we want to.

There is no way in hell that men will ever become completely feminized in just a few years. That is impossible. There are genetic traits in men that will remain for 1000's of years. Some even say that human evolution is at a standstill.

The way I see it there is already a backlash in progress. This board is proof of that. Men are starting to look around and see right through the crap the women are up to.

The problem that I see with our modern society is that the strengths of men are restricted and those of a woman are widely accepted.

Women use their bodies and sex appeal as a weapon to get what they want. There is no restriction on this anymore (well not unless you live in the middle east).

Men use their strength and cunning to get what they want. We are the masters of power, but we are prohibited by law from exercising our strength.

The one thing that will always prevent women from taking control is their inability to focus on complex problems. You can't make emotional choices and be successful.

It is also clear that women don't know anything about power, they only understand seduction. Women don't build weapon systems and they don't declare war. Women will never pay the ultimate price for power because they don't understand it.

so, this issue really isn't something to worry about. We have givin women the benefit of the doubt for a while now and the time has almost come for us to put a cap on their behavior.

Let them play for a bit longer and then when they get out of control we will just slap them back into place. :)

Hey remember the Fonz from TV back in the 70s. Man that guy was always combing his hair. He got all the girls too. Always had clean jeans, and oooooooohhhhhhhh that leather jacket. He was quite the emotional one too. It almost seemed like he was.........well .............gay, Metrosexual.

Can anyone picture the Fonz farting, or burping? Or using bathroom humor with the guys? Did he have dirty underwear all over his room?

I cant picture it either.

A real man turns his underwear inside out when they get real dirty. That way you get a couple more days out of them, lol.

There's this mad good commerical I saw on television the other night.

It's a Smirnoff Vodka Ice commerical. This guy is standing in a night club/party talking to his friends, when all of a sudden his girlfriend arrives. She starts *****ing and moaning and tries to convince him to leave the party. He motions to his friends that he will be right back.. and takes her outside. She gets into a cab and he quicky closes the door on her. The cab drives away and her face is priceless. Then i believe it says something like " one part vodka, one part backbone". Great commerical. This illustrates a manly trait; having a backbone. Not a spineless cry baby, who would follow her back home because SHE isn't enjoying the party.

Men are simply too affraid of losing their girl, thats why so many are push overs... I say listen if you're girlfriend is going to leave you or hold some sort of grudge because of something so silly and small then you know that a true LTR would never work with her, so who gives a flying f if you lose her :)

Do you guys realise, that so many of you pretending not to be a push over really aren't doing anything different? Now you're simply trying so hard NOT to be push-overs, that you find yoruself treading on egg-shells, when to call, what to say Oh my!! how do i get her to keep her high IL in me, wooh im scurred, what ever will I do!.

Be yourself, Be your OWN man, then the rest comes naturally.
Yes backbone = confidence, confidence in your action and confidence that life will bring to you that which you NEED. :D
