They're not made out of gold, but a $400-800 pair of shoes will last you 10 years, easily, if taken care of correctly.

Why is it that it's only gay to be metrosexual when you're a "normal" guy, but all the stars you worship are AFC? ;)
NBA players, rock stars, rappers..they all have masseuses, dieticians, trainers, personal shoppers, stylists, etc...many o them try to hide it. Eminem was caught in a spa getting a facial treatmen, and is still trying to cover it up...because he's not comfortable enough to admit it. Yet he still does it....what does that say?

Apparently some "men" aren't manly enough to stand up to the crowd. IMO, if you don't get your eyebrows waxed because you disagree with it, more power to you. But this "it's for sissies" garbage is nothing more than a bunch of chumps too insecure to let "the guys" know that they have their own opinions.

Precisely. Reminds me of a journal entry I wrote in my livejournal a while back....

6:20 pm
Proper hygeine is for fairies.
Maybe I'm the only one here who reads the newspaper (albeit mainly online), as most people my age are busy making up slang words that sound like medical names for genital warts, brewing designer drugs in their bathtubs, and putting coffee can sized mufflers on their economy cars in order to achieve a powerful farting noise, but has anyone else noticed all the articles on "metrosexuals" lately?

According to an article in The New York Times®, a metrosexual is a straight man who engages in behaviors commonly associated with homosexuals, such as shopping, manicures, and regular bathing. I was reading posts on an online forum that a few of my friends and I belong to, and someone (going forward, he'll be referred to as Straighty McStraight), posted something about how gay it was to use skincare products. Oddly enough, there were quite a few people who sided with him. Their argument? That being in any way concerned with your appearance in for girls. Included on their list of "homosexual only items" were lotion, haircare products that cost more than $3 (Canadian) per bottle, and haircuts given by anyone other than a stubbly nearly blind man named Boris, who is able to communicate only through grunts and wild gesturing of his gnawed cigar stump. I shrugged it off, and that was that.

Later that night, as I was in the shower, it hit me...I'm practically gay. I place my dirty clothes in the laundry basket when I'm done wearing them, and select clean ones from the closet. I use toothpaste AND mouthwash. For goodness sakes, I wear DEODORANT! It's only a matter of time...one day, you're borderline sissy, innocently using girly two-ply toilet paper, and the next, you're introducing your parents to Bruce, your new "male companion", and sleeping outside of the Ticketmaster® for Cher tickets. I wasn't about to sit idly by and sissify myself any longer! I decided to go on a witchhunt of sorts, and throw out all the gay influences in my house. When I was done, I had a garbage bag filled with the tools of the homosexual, including matching sheets and pillowcases, dental floss, hairbrushes not purchased from gas stations, and for good measure, all my mother's makeup and high heels. I took to wearing acid washed jeans and hockey jerseys, and washing them by wearing them in the shower. I requested that the newspaper boy deliver only the sports sections, which I read in the bathroom, and then promptly use in place of toilet paper...a man shouldn't use that coddly sissy crap, after all. The more blood on the paper, the more of a lumberjack you are. My mullet has grown almost to my shoulder blades, and my nosehair blends smoothly into my manly Bert Reynoldsesque moustache. I'm missing a pinky finger from an accident that occoured while I was soldering a burrito holder into my camaro, and almost punked out and went to the hospital, with all the other fairies. In the end, the guys had it bronzed, and I wear it proudly around my neck, as a war trophy....FOR I AM MAN, HEAR ME ROAR.

I DONT IDOLIZE any sports players, nor musicians. I admire their skill, but they're lifestyles don't cause me to admire them.

I'm gonna stand behind my statement that getting your eyebrows waxed is a truly feminine thing to do. I don't have to hide my true feelings, i'm revealing them to you in this post.

We have all been grown up in a feminized society. The soccer mom, or concerned mother have morphed the modern male into a more emotional being. The idea of talking to strangers is totally shuned when you are a child, hence why most people have a fear of approaching a lone female.

In this conversation from the movie Fight Club, Brad Pitt is able to sum up our lifestyle obsession fairly well.

""Do you know what a duvet is?"
"It's a comforter."
"It's a blanket. Now why do guys like you and I know what a duvet is? Is it essential to our survival in a hunter-gatherer sense of the word? No. So what are we then?"
"I dunno, um, consumers?"
"Right, we are consumers, we are biproducts of the lifestyle obsession. Murder, crime, poverty; these things don't concern me. What concerns me is celebrity magazines, television with 500 channels, somebody's name on my underwear, Rogain, Viagra, Illestra..."
"Martha Stuart."
"**** Martha Stuart. Marth's polishing the brass on the Titanic man, the whole things going down. **** you with your sofa units and string green stripe padding. I say never be complete. I say never be perfect. We gotta evolve man, let the chips fall where they may... but that's just me."

Some things in life aren't a necessity.

"I look around at Fight Club and see some of the strongest and smartest men that ever lived. I see all this potential and I see it squandered. An entire generation, pumping gas, waiting tables, slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate to buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. We have no great war, no great depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Being raised on TV has us believing we'll all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars, but we won't. We're slowly learning that fact, and we're very, very pissed off."

yeah that guy is a FREAK. A man should only have about 4-5 pairs of shoes at any givin time.

1. running shoes
2. casual shoes
3. dress shoes
4. sandals (for when it is hot out and you are feeling lazy)
5. combat or construction boots.

that's all I own and I’m happy. :)

Its a bunch of guys acting like chicks. Don't ya think?

There is nothing wrong with a bunch of guys talking about how to nail their next female. I will agree that some of the topics of conversation on this board are rather pathetic . The topics are very similar to what women talk about, but you have to keep in mind that it is the feminization of modern society that has made this occur. With a large % of men being misguided by the female agenda it only seems fair that the REAL men stand up and help his fallen brothers out.

There are those that need help on this board and there are those that are here to help The nature of this board isn’t female at all. We can’t kick the crap out of these AFC and teach them a lesson so this is the next best thing.

Vin Diesel wears leather pants.
Andre from Outkast wears nail polish.
Bill Clinton pays $150 for his haircut.
Damon Dash and The Big Tymerz (spelling) get regular manicures and pedicures.

Are they less "manly"? Walk up to Vin Diesel, and tell him he's a sissy. See what happens.

The only thing that makes you gay is being attracted to men. James Dean, the paragon of manliness to 1950's teens was gay (actually, bisexual, which in my opinion is nothing more than opportunistic...I dont really know if I believe you can truly be bisexual.) But everyone and his brother on this board wants to be James Dean...strange.

I'm no AFC. I'm as manly as anyone else here. I'll spend $400 on a pair of shoes, or get my eyebrows waxed, or drive a Mini Cooper. But at the end of the day, a $12 haircut, copy of "Juggs" and a pickup truck doesn't make anyone more masculine than I am.
Perhaps you should walk up to Vin Deisel and hit on him. Tell him you are bisexual and that your name is Mr. Latte.. (totaly gay name by the way). You can wink your waxed eyebrows at him and show him your mini. At the end of the day, he will run you over with his pick up truck.

wow someones just a little bitter lol, I wonder why hmmm... I won't even go there, please keep this place friendly, no need for childish insults.

Its cliche of the beer drinking dutty 2 week same pair of underwear wearing, long nailed, just woke up hair, don't give a **** about anything, sit on your ass all day or guzzle more beer with your buddies, ape, anti-intellectual media IMAGE, of the MAN that you should be affraid of.

Personaly I dress well, I can't afford 400 bucks on a pair of shoes but I dress well, I shower, shave my shizzit, work out, tan sometimes, use cream if my skin gets dry in the winter...

Anyways I wouldnt go as far as the facial, spa, manicure, pedicure thing; I would go get a massage.

A man atleast a man who some "class" would take care of his hygene, well mannered, respectable...

When it comes down to it, I had a buddy who was a complete metro-sexual not gay, but certainly acted like it and well he's not my buddy anymore, just a little TOO feminine for comfort.

its all relative though.

So you are basically saying that the media portrays man as smelling like dog crap, wearing dirty underwear, drinking beer all day, eating our food off of 3 week old empty pizza boxes, and never cleaning our bodies? Man their view is totally distorted. It's all this excess bullsh1t that men are doing that is making me believe that the feminization of males is occuring. Come on, I'm a clean guy, I shower/shave every day, but I DO NOT AND WILL NEVER SHAVE MY LEGS/ARMPIT/CHEST or be caught dead waxing my eyebrows. Come on!

Actually, a real man doesn't act like that at all. There are guys like that, but they are usually depressed and married to some fat cow.

In general, a real man is clean-shaven, strong, doesn't need a woman, understands honor and valor, and acts with all the power of his being both physically and mentally. He doesn't need to supplement his appearance with fashion. He doesn't use sex appeal to get what he wants like a woman does; he uses his cunning and strength to acquire his desires. A man like this doesn't have much respect for other men that don't understand these concepts.

Actually no, a true MAN in every sense of the word a man like you said of honour valor strength; is humble and respects every individual that may not be like himself. He is wise and respects things even though he may not understand him. A man is one who accepts change and has something called compassion.

Are you saying that a man should not rebuke a metrosexual?

You can't respect something you rebuke . It just isn't possible.

humility, wisdom, and compassion are fine, but a man should still fight for what he stands for. If you don't rebuke the metrosexuals then you really don't believe in what you are.

Thats just silly, friend when you are "truly" confident, and fine with "WHO" "YOU" are, with what yourself is, "SELF" being the word here, then the lives and identities of others don't matter. People will as they always do what they want to do, everyone is different everyone has their own wills to live out their "self".

When a man is truly confident, when he reaches a point of wisdom, my friend he does not need to fight, he does not need to change those around him; for he sees the beauty in all things as they are and the only change which you can truly push is one within yourself.

You can only change yourself... If you feel like its some sort of fight that you have to battle, if you feel like you have to rebuke something then my friend I suggest looking deep inside yourself and finding where the lack of true confidense comes from.

Anyways to each his own, I'm not going to argue.... or spew forth any philosophical spiritual views.. what ever floats your boat.

Chlywly,

I agree with some of your views. However, I believe as a whole, this issue needs to be addressed and brought out into light or else many people who visit this board will continue to bring up truly useless questions.

Im getting the hang of that, and its one of the best feelings in the world...Ive learned not to compare myself to anyone and embrace CBear for who he is and what he stands for...Whenever that old mindstate comes up, I just repeat in my head "Dont compare yourself to anyone, you are who you are", the bad feelings go away and I feel so much better...I feel like a new person...

If you do not fight for what you believe in then you are either a coward or someone that just doesn't give a sh|t. It is that simple. Fighting against a wrong in society is noble and does not suggest a lack of confidence.

One should always look inside and try to improve, but the real challenge is looking beyond yourself and actually giving a sh|t about the world around you. Even if you never make a difference, and your views are totaly wrong, your inner self will be defined by the battle you have fought.

With that said there are some serious issues with regard to feminism that we just can't ignore. Some men just don't know how to be men anymore. People like you should at least speak out about it and rebuke the metrosexual.

The notion that you can only change yourself is false. You can help people to change and shun that which is the cause of their dispare. That is exactly what this board is about. We help the AFC, but we also rebuke him.

Okay my point is Mr.Latte for example does not call himself a metro-sexual, nor did he say he is in despair yet he's being insulted... See the point? Just as long as we can converse like adults im happy.

Well think about it, how are you then any different then the next gay basher or racist, how are you any different then the rest of the ignorant folk around spouting profanity and hating everything that’s not like them, or what they think everyone else should be.

The metro-sexual is a fad, it's not a violent revolution, we're not all being forced by metro sexuals to do just as they, they aren't taking over, in fact I maybe know one or true metro-sexuals out of the hundreds of friends and acquaintances that I have.

You can chose to live your life your way, dress how you want do what you want act how you want, thats the beauty of being civil and being free.

If theres anything you should protest its the media revolution, because all this feminizing is coming from the magazines, movies, and tv shows.

When is there a need to fight? you fight when someone tries to change you, change your life, your style your thinking, tries to suppress and oppress you, that’s when you fight; you fight for freedom; common metro-sexual? this isn't an epidemic its Childs play and if you guys aren't comfortable enough with your sexuality to be able to chill without conspiracy about some sort of metro-sexual take over which we have to take arms up against; that’s just beyond pathetic.
