The new season harkens the television horizon!

Two weeks and we find out what in fact happened to our beloved castaways.

I've been mulling over the possibility that Mikhail has in fact died from his own hand with his using the grenade to blow out the window to sink Looking Glass station.

I don't see it feasable that the concussion would render him, at the very least, unconscious thus, drowning him. But I don't think the Island will let anyone truly die.

Goddamn, I'm excited!

perhaps they made peace with their pasts before they were killed?

or perhaps frenchy had taken something experimental during a dharma study and now is immortal, or perhaps he was a old pirate that was immortal and just decided to work for dharma while they were there....

I'll rephrase. I don't think the Island will let anyone die who isn't in legal trouble or not worth renewing thier contracts.

This is one badass show! I've refrained from reading and posting in this thread because I was a season behind for quite a while. But I'm all caught up now and ready to go...season 4 tonight baby! I'm pumped. Those last few episodes were awesome!

What do you think? Is Hurley crazy? Did the Locke group get murdered by Jacks group?

Hurley's words do seem to indicate that Jack's group was the 'right' group, in that he said he should have not gone with Locke. But then how did Hurley get off the island?

Also, we don't know who all got off the island. So far there is only Kate, Jack, and Hurley. That leaves 3 others.

Also, if Jack was right, why does Hurley think they should go back. And Jack said the same thing in the season 3 finale. Hurley's words to Jack while they are playing basketball. There is obviously way more going on than we know....Damn this show is good!

Oh, and I don't think that Hurley is crazy...the island has just affected him in some way.

right and apparently last nights flash forward about hurley happens before the flash foward about jack because he had not grown the beard yet.

exactly what did they do that jack is tired of lying about (to kate) and that hurley is afraid that everyone thinks he will tell (to jack)?
could it be that they promised each other not to speak anything about the island as it would seem they were all crazy and to just say only the 6 of them survived?
are one of the oceanic 6 the person in the coffin?

i think the flash forwards are a great idea . only so much of their past could the show exploit without it getting "old".

when hurley said the oceanic 6, based on the shows past, i think they are trying to convince us that only 6 made it off the island, i am not buying into that concept just yet.

one thing that is STILL bothering me is the whole Richard thing. how has this man not aged at all?? and why is he not the leader of the others??

one thing i DO KNOW. is i firmly believe that Ben gets off the island some how

It sent Charley for him a couple of times already. Jack will soon grow to despair his departure too.

The thing that bothers me the most among many unanswered question is the four toed statue we saw in the season 2 finale. That seems to indicate that there were people on the island long before the pirates got there (unless the pirates made it? doubtful...)

I think that Locke is coming a bit unhinged. He obviously knows something that makes him think that the people on the boat are dangerous, or that the castaways are meant to stay on the island, but he is keeping it close to his chest, and resorting to drastic measures (throwing a knife in Naomi's back) to do what he thinks is right. It is frustrating that no one on the island seems to talk to eachother about all the crazy **** that is going on to each of them, though that probably makes the show all the better.

In the premier Locke claims that he has done nothing that was not in the best interests of everyone on the island (though not pushing the button was a bit of a mistake...), but I believe that in the next few seasons his own agenda will increasingly conflict with every else's - whether it leads to murdering other castaways...who knows...And what is with Walt showing up when Locke was dying in the mass grave?

Side note: Did anyone watch the extras to the season 3 DVD where Terry O'Quinn (the actor who plays Locke), shows off his real world knife throwing skills. Makes the character Locke that much cooler to me somehow.

Actually, there are going to be 3 more seasons, each 16 episodes. The writers of the show were originally thinking 5, but I am sure abc wanted to sell more box sets so they lowered the episode count and added another season. I was relieved to hear that they set a definate end date to the series so early on, as it will allow the writers to plan everything out the way they want, and now we know it wont end too soon or drag on for far too long.

locke was up in jacob's house when hurley passed by. lots of talking and whispers going on.. hurley saw old jacob rocking back and forth, and then bam! theres locke up at the window and hurley's running.
were they talking about how locke could "help" jacob?
