didnt jack go to the pharmacy and try to get a prescription filled and pull out a forged one ? when the lady insists that she call his father about the prescription , jack gets all mad and tells her not to and stumbles out?

he doesnt want her to call because she would find out that his father is dead and did not write the prescription.
Or that his Father is still alive and the prescription was a forgery.

Not necessarily. It could be a curveball and be Juliette as I don't believe for one second she is totally turned to the survivors' team. Or it could be Alex or Roussoue as they are his only descendants.

I've been watching the second act of the finale all night critiquing every item. When Kate looks at the piece of newspaper Jack hands her at the end with the obituary, the look on her face is that of a woman scorned. Either competition over Jack (Juliette) or someone who had wronged her on the Island or she fell out of sorts with( Michael, Sawyer, Locke, etc.)

To those who think that Season 4 will take place off of the Island, read the following:

On May 7, 2007, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson announced that Lost will end during the 2009–2010 season with a "highly anticipated and shocking finale."[53] "We felt that this was the only way to give [Lost] a proper creative conclusion," McPherson said. Beginning with the 2007–2008 television season, the final 48 episodes of Lost will be aired as three seasons with sixteen episodes each. Thus, Lost will conclude with its sixth season. These seasons are to be aired uninterrupted in the first half of those years.

The announcement by ABC was called "bold and unprecedented" by Lost's executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. Lindelof and Cuse also stated that they "always envisioned Lost as a show with a beginning, middle, and end," and that by announcing when the show would end that viewers would "have the security of knowing that the story will play out as we've intended." Co-creator J.J. Abrams also praised the decision, remarking, "It is the right choice for the series and its viewers. It takes real foresight and guts to make a call like this. I applaud ABC and Touchstone for making this happen."[54]

Take note of the statement in bold. The producers intend to show what happened to the characters before, during, and after their time on the Island.

During the first 3 seasons the writers showed us the past of the characters through flash backs. During the final 3 seasons, the writers will show us the story of what happens to the characters after they leave the Island through flash forwards. However, the main story of what happens on the Island will always take place in real time.

I know what you're thinking. "It's kind of depressing to see the state that Jack is in when he's off the Island in the future". And to that I answer, the characters had problems before they arrived on the Island, it's only natural that they have problems and *gasp* don't live happily ever after once they leave the Island. However, that doesn't mean there isn't hope. The characters overcame their issues in the past and probably will do so in the future as well.

ever onward, that is a great assessment of the show.
i agree that some have been trying desperately to get off the island and once they are off it, and things are not happy ever after, they will feel as if they should not have left and that life on the island was not so bad and that the mysteries of the island were never completely solved to them and they will wish to go back (JACK in the flash forward!!)

i am very excited to see the new characters they have added and to find out more mysteries as the show plays with my mind and drives me insane.

i am curious if sun will live through the birth of her child, it is is jin's and if kate is expecting also...
i am curious if richard is a 400 yr old pirate and wtf is jacob hahaha
will micheal and walt return?
will vincent start killing boars on his own?
are all the polar bears dead?
since danielle knows the french lady is her mother, will they develop a relationship?
who is the old lady whom seems to be some sort of judge or something?
where is the next hatch?
wtf kind of bunny is that, or better yet, how did dharma get the space/time shift down like that?
is dharma or widmore or whomever coming to get them?
will their plane crash with no survivors in spite of all this?
why can't the frenchy like guy die?
too many questions and conspiracies for the next season of the middle of the show.....

I love your insight kitty!

I saw a preview for Season 4 on the TV Guide channel. Apparently it's definite that Michael is coming back to be a full time character. No word on Walt. But it did say there will be 5 new cast members joining the show.

I think that you're right about Dharma coming to get them. It made it seem due to the way the flash forward ended that they get off the Island but like I said I don't see that happening until the very end of the series. My guess is the ones coming to get them (probably Dharma) are "bad guys" as Ben said they were and that when they arrive bad stuff is gonna go down. Does this mean that The Others are in fact good guys? Hmmmm

You made a point about the old lady being a judge. I assume you meant the one in Desmond's Flashback? I really enjoyed that episode because it made it seem that Desmond WAS in fact saving the world with his actions at that there is a larger mystery surrounding the Island having to do with Fate or Time. I like the thought of that because I felt that Season 3 focused on the Mystery of the Others too much.

Like you, I can't wait until Season 4! It's only 4 months to go! It's been almost 5 already since the Season Finale! We're over half way there!

ever, click on the link i posted above and it will tell you who one of the people coming to the show is and that he was the only one chosen for that part and then gives the names of the other four.
also, that one clip...

the judge i referred to was the one that came to juliet's trial for telling jack to kill ben during his back surgery.
i totally forgot the other thing, and now i do not know if they were the same person or two different.

i still can not figure out how they got locke's dad there to the island on man from tallahassee.

Oh, THAT lady! You forgot about the lady I was talking about and I forgot about the one you were talking about! :) I have no idea who she is. When Ben first joined the Others after killing his father, there was no mention of an older lady who seems to have more authority than Ben. And by the way, I'm pretty sure it was totally not the same lady as the Fate Lady.

Here's my speculation on Locke's Father:

The plane crashes. Ben learns from Ethan who was on the plane. He then learns that Locke WAS in a wheelchair but no longer. (The Others are connected in the outside world). Ben figures that Locke is special and researches his background to find if there are any skeleton's in his closet. Ben learns about Locke's Father and has him kidnapped from Tallahasee. Ben then has him held prisoner until the moment he can use him against Locke to find out about how he healed so fast and how he is connected to the Mystery of the Island.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

It was Desmond's flashback episode in which he time traveled back to his past after the Hatch blew up.

Desmond (in the past) went into a jewelry shop and was going to buy a ring for Penny. But while doing so he remembered the mistakes he had made with Penny the first time around which also led to him ending up on the Island and was determined to do it differently this time. The jewelry shop lady then reminds him that it's his fate to go to the Island and be the one pushing that button to save the world and that there was no way he could escape his destiny.

Ring any bells?

She was the woman who wouldn't sell Desmond the ring to give to Penny. She, in fact, laid out his entire life up to the Island for him though.

My memory is sh!t but I do seem to think she was on the Island with the Others back when Kate and Sawyer were locked up?

I have to go back and watch it again now!
