What a good point to remember is that it is not looks exactly that you should change, just the stuff you can. e. g. dirty people can wash.

I know that looks arent that important but when i compare, say, me to the most stunning girl in my year at 6th form, i cant help but think that i dont have a chance.
Yet i know a guy with big teeth, big ears and he hangs with all the best lookin girls. He messes and plays with them and feels them up, and they dont seem bothered, they love it as hes a fun guy.

I think celebrities are a bad example used to illustrate the importance of looks. Any guy with "status" will increase his attractiveness exponentially, it doesn't mean he has his pick of any woman, but it increases his odds greatly of obtaining what he wants. To whoever said Lenny Kravits is ugly....I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong, because we all have our opinions, but I don't think you'd get very many women to agree with that. Seal, yes his face is very scarred, but he's also tall, well built, confident, creative, and a well-known successful singer. Who knows, he probably has pretty good game as well. Do you think he'd be dating a model if he were a plumber barely making ends meet (nothing against the job personally, but you get my point)?

I believe as men we have it harder because not only do we have to be physically attractive (whatever a particular woman finds acceptable), we have to have other traits to be considered valuable. We aren't more picky about appearances than women, we just have different physical cues we look for, and most times we go after women we feel we can get, even putting some average women on pedestals believing they're a lot better looking than they actually are compared to us. That's why I ALWAYS see couples together who are pretty much on the same level in the looks department.

Women are with ugly guys because they have low self esteem. Beautiful women with ugly men will cheat on those guys any chance they get with good-lloking guys . I know lots of guys who love to sleep with women who have ugly boyfriends and husbands. Those girls are usually the hornist. They are with giuys they have no sexual attraction for because they are too scared and insecure that good looking guys will not want them long term.

Was'nt there a study recently which stated at certain times of the month women are prone to search for good looking sperm? Therefore at certain times of the month women with ugly spouses were more likely to cheat. women with good looking spouses are not as affected. Some of the guys I know are still laughing at this study. They can't believe it took all those scientific studies nd money to figure out what is so damn obvious.

Be a good looking guy with even a little bit of personality and see how easy it is to get laid. Be an ugly guy with lots of personality and watch how hard it still is to get laid. Sure it happens,but you have to pull all that ****y funny confident act all the time. A good looking guy merely has to show he has some sort of personality and he is in the game. Most women judge him the minute he walks through that door. If he can carry on a conversation and even manage to be a little bit funny and sound a little intelligent he can get a lmost any girl he waants and laying them is a sinch.

It's such a myth women are not into looks. Most guys will listen to what a woman says and believes it. But women will never admit they are into looks or money. Hell, they don't even know what the hell they want.They just know they want whatever they can't have.

Any of those Average Joe shows should have shed the light on reality. The women chosen all put looks at the bottom of their list. They were interviwed and all said looks did not matter. It was his personality and his ability to make the laugh. then the women who said looks didn't matter always ended up choosing the idiot hunky guy with the personality of a sponge. It got so bad, by the 3rd show they were sending the Average Joe's out for plastic surgery when rejected and sent them back again to see if they had more of an equal chance when good looking guys are around. Pretty pathetic, but the ladies showed the true colors of women. Do not listen to what they say. Observe what they do in situations. IF you have a woman with 2 equally interesting guys one good looking the other not she will pick the good looking one almost every time.

To compare 2 guys one good looking with no personality and one ugly but full of personality and confidence makes no sense. I can compare 2 women in the same way. Girl #1. Hot HB 9.5-10 with no personality,not too smart,no sense of humor. Girl#2. HB 7,funny,intelligent great personality. Even though I am very prone to beautiful women I would pick the HB 7 any time because all in all I have to enjoy the person. But that does'nt mean I don't care about looks. If the hotter girl had a slightly less interesting personality and intelligence I would pick her On the whole the package is what I would preffer. But again women who are insecure like to date guys they think are ugly so they feel more special and think they have the upper hand because they are the "attractive one".

Game and personality are different.

Game is how you act as the alpha male, aren't needy, arent affected by things, can hold your own, basically the essense of a true Don Juan.

See newbie that’s what you can't seem to grasp, when a woman likes you enough she will do just about anything for you. Just because you do not have the necessary skills to make a woman like you enough it doesn't mean others don't.

LeviathanIYG, gotta give you mad props. I use to get myself into the debate about whether looks matter or not, and I think you put it REALLY well. Looks do matter, but not nearly as much as people think. The way I see it, there are three things that matter, and ONLY three things. (These are influenced somewhat by David Deangelo's teachings):

1.) Words are only a very very small percentage of our communication. Body language, tone etc... are the rest. The key is to communicate directly to another person, pass their persona. To those who don't know, persona is kinda like the mask, the fake "us" we put out to people.

2.) Be absolutely certain about your "reality". (This one is straight form David). You really have to see his videos, he did a really good job of explaining this. Basically, if you believe that your looks are stopping you from getting chicks, guess what, you're right. Why? Because this is your reality, and you believe it so much, it WILL become true. On the other hand, if you believe looks don't matter, I mean 100%, no bullshlt belief, from the bottom of your heart, your attitude will change, and that is what makes the difference.

3.) You must have determination to try again and again and again. When everyone starts, failure and rejection is commonplace. I cannot think of one trade where you can get to expertice without falling down and picking yourself up again. Why should Don be any different? The key is you must be able to pick yourself up again, brush it off and keep going.
