Tell you what - let's give the Lakers a 40-10 FT advantage in each of the remaining games and see who complains about officiating.

Anyone who thinks the officiating was even remotely fair in Game 2, which the Lakers almost pulled out, doesn't know NBA basketball.

At one point, the Celtics had a 36-3 FT advantage in game 2

NBA Playoff officiating has always been a joke and continues to be so.

I just got through watching Skip talk about it. I don't really doubt it. I don't even doubt the NBA was in on parts of it.

Celtics 3-1

Man I don't care what anyone tells me in the first half the Celtics got jobed. WTF refs are you blind.

Even though the Celtics won I still don't let the way the refs are calling it. Seriously the Celtics have to get run over or clotheslined for the refs to call a god damn foul.

First of all

I like to congratulate the
2008 World Champion Boston Celtics

defeating a basketball team that wears yellow, from california and have gone fishin in lakes 4-1.

It has been a great season with uncertainty and having faith in a common goal.

Special thanks to God for all his blessings, and Christ Jesus who Loves us.

Like to mention Doc Rivers an excellent coach plus the coaching staff.
Also Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, Kendrick Perkins, and Paul Pierce.

Its been a long years on the road, but your finally did it. Congratulations Champions you all deserve it.
you were right bbestar, their was alot of uncertainty, especially game 4, but they had faith especially in their teammates and their defense.

Again give God all the Glory, and thanks and Praise the Lord Christ Jesus

EVERYBODY TIME TO CELEBRATE!!!!

I like to mention Eddie House and James Posey, God Bless Them. Lets GO C's ONE More, that's how you fight.

wtf happened, I wasn't able to fully watch the game but when I first turned it on the Lakers were up by like 24 points, next thing I know Celtics win by 6. This reminds me when the Celtics rallied from like 20+ points in the fourth quarter against the Nets in the 02 playoffs and won it. Though wouldn't that be a story if Ray Allen won the MVP when out of the big 3, he has been the least noticed.

what did you guys think about game 5?

Lakers are my team but their defense is sht right now. The Celtics pick and roll offense is hurting them, especially when the Celtics have more than one 3 point shooter on the floor. And both teams have their 3 point shooters but Allen, House and Posey are better than Vujacic and Radmonovich. Every time Farmar guards House, he leaves him open. Walton sucks and forced the Lakers into the penalty with 3 stupid fouls in the 4th. Gasol and Odom did good but Gasol needs to fvckin dunk the ball instead of doing his slow motion lob shot when he's 3 inches away from the rim. And he needs to stop making stupid faces.

Excellent non-call. No one thinks that was anything but a clean pick.

Please don't tell me you're a Celts fan complaining about officiating.

Not after the 40-10 FT advantage they enjoyed in Game 2, which at one time was 36-3

I've been watching NBA for about 30 years and have never seen that type of FT disparity ever.

Dude, take a look at the FT disparity in this series and tell me how the Celts are getting jobbed.

Were the refs blind when the Celts had a 40-10 advantage in FT's in game 2?

I see non-calls on both ends. As long as there's no disparity like Game 2, it's a non-issue. I've seen Garnett get away with a ton of moving screens the whole series. One possession in game 3, Garnett had 4 moving screens within a span of 15 seconds. Refs let the first 3 go and only called the foul on the 4th because it was the second time Vujacic ended up on his ass from being pushed. Who cares though, this is not 70's basketball. You can find fouls being committed every possession if you look hard enough. That plus all the fvckin flops, which there were a lot of in Game 5, whatever

I like where the series is now. Starting with game 3, whichever team has won has generally outplayed the other. No lopsided officiating, no dumb theatrics. And all the games have been so competitive, a simple turnover or defensive breakdown can change the rhythm for the next 5 minutes and decide who dominates. This is a fun series to watch

I guess that finally puts to bed the Kobe versus Michael comparisons.

I'm not saying Kobe isn't an all time great or a legend. However he is nowhere near the caliber of MJ.

Facing elimination MJ would have been fired up. He would have yelled at his teammates. He would have silenced the crowd. He would have made at effort. He would have scored 50 if he had to or he would have made his teammates better with his leadership.

MJ wouldn't have walked off the court in the NBA Finals as a member of a losing team. He would have had to have been dragged off the court kicking and screaming with his heart cut out.

I'm not bashing Kobe. I'm just saying he's not Mike.

The Celtics put up one hell of a defensive effort the likes of which hasn't been seen since the Jordan-era Bulls.

We'll see what happens in the off season. Will Kobe come back stronger? Or will he demand to be traded again?

Kobe's not Mike, he's good but they are of a different calibur and I'm not just talking about athletic ability.

I'm happy that the Celtics won mainly because I feel that Garnett deserves it. Not only did he made it through personal adversities but he worked his ass off here in Minnesota and would never have gotten anything to show from it. It's bad enough that Charles Barkley has nothing to show for his hard work.

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
