Well I was going for the Pistons all the way but I think the Celtics will really win this. People are questioning how they are going to stop Kobe. How are the Lakers going to stop both Paul Pierce and Ray Allen? These two are the top perimeter players in the league. The Lakers played good enough defense on the Spurs and outplayed them offensively. With the Celtics you basically have three players that can be the main scoring option. Good enough defense against the Celtics isn't good enough. Pau Gasol didn't stop Duncan, he is absolutely not going to stop Garnett whose range is even farther than Duncan. And Lamar Odom isn't going to be able to abuse big men off the dribble like what he did against Carlos Boozer and Tim Duncan because Kevin Garnett will be able to keep up with him.
People like to rave on how the Celtics struggled against the Cavaliers and the Hawks. Newsflash, the Celtics have always struggled against teams that are athletic with good rebounders who can run. And unfortunately most of the teams of this mold are in the east, such as the Sixers, Wizards, Bobcats, Cavaliers, Magic, and Hawks. Five of those teams were in the playoffs. It's not that the Celtics aren't good, it's just that they have trouble with certain teams like how the Mavericks, despite being predicted to win it all last year, had trouble with the Warriors. The Celtics were able to beat the Pistons because of rebounding. Rasheed Wallace is at best an average rebounder and that is pretty bad coming from a championship contending team. He made Kendrick Perkins look like Moses Malone. I think the Lakers are a stronger rebounding team than the Pistons but the Pistons were still able to keep it close because of their defense. The Lakers aren't that good of a defensive team to stop Boston, though the Celtics are a great enough defensive team to stop the Lakers. Though it depends how well the Celtics defend Kobe Bryant.
