I'm not one to complain about officiating, but it was utterly atrocious in this game.

Kobe gets two cheap fouls in the first 8-10 minutes and has to sit, and Boston had a 36-3 FT advantage midway thru the 3rd quarter.

36-3 - that's not a typo.

I've never seen such a disparity in FT's in nearly 30 years of watching NBA basketball.

Yeah, the Celts were on fire from 3 pt range, but they also finished with 28 more FT's then the Lakers, and the Lakers still almost pulled it out at the end.

Hard to win when the other team has a 28 FT advantage.

Even my friend who is a huge Laker hater called me tonight and said they got screwed.

Pro sports is becoming as bad as Boxing, which I stopped watching about 15 years ago due to the blatant fixed fights, and the NBA and NFL are next...

yea I agree w/ the fouls, when I was watching I was thinking, WTF is up with these refs. Radmonovich and Kobe had to be pulled out at the beginning of the first quarter because of contact that should've been non-calls. Meanwhile it's all non-calls on the other end. Leon Poe, who's a nobody, got to the foul line how many times

between this and Paul Pierce's "injury", this series is turning into a joke

I was just starting to get back into the NBA, but there's no point in watching if games are fixed like they were last night.

And the one leading the charge is Tom Heinsohn. I swear I cannot watch a League Pass game with Boston as the feed, this guy is the biggest homer ever. Every time someone on the Celtics score, he acts like they are the best players ever, and every time someone on the opposing team scores, he attributes it to luck because the Celtics defense is too great to be scored on.

Man how did I miss this thread. It feels so good as a real Celtic fan. After last years draft I wanted to hang myself. Seriously I kept getting so much crap from everyone I know telling me how much the Celtics suck. Now I can have the last laugh Mwahahahahahah.

I just replayed the first 5-10 minutes of the game and all the calls were going the Lakers way, with offensive fouls.

So I would say the calls were even in the game.

Lets just forget it and just start the celebration.

So much for comparing Kobe to Michael!

MJ would have stepped up.

Kobe really showed his skill tonight. I have to give him credit. Celtics Defense couldn't hold him back. Pierce didn't even seem like he was playing!

Yeah man, sometimes I get caught up in all the hype when people try to compare Kobe to Mike.

But going into tonight's game, I have to admit I wanted to see Kobe step up. It's always amazing to see great players rise to the occasion.

mpimpin you were just hating on kobe like a few days ago? "Kobe is not that great" he can drop 30 any given night, if that's not great I do not know what is.

I can give credit when it is due though. I wasn't trying to say Kobe isn't good, but all this Hype comparing him to MJ doesn't work for me. He is probably the closest thing to MJ there has been and will be for awhile, but he is still a good ways off from being the next MJ
