dude in Madison wi you can buy a car for 4grand easily. Nissan, Honda and chevy. Cars are plentiful anyways. find something within your budget. I drive a Honda fit not a chick magnet but still decent though.
Smart move, if you get rear-ended by a truck you just get punted down the highway. Not crushed.

Where I live the Mexicans sell old Chevy Malibus, Impalas, Nissan Altimas for 4 grand, well kept from appearances (120-150K miles). Old, well kept Chrysler 200s for 5 grand.

Sounds like the play is to just keep pushing at my current company/jobs and get that car in the neighborhood of 5K. Even if I have to travel to get it.

Again, while I will be building up my skills to increase my leverage, I’m not worried about jumping companies at all yet. I think it was @Dr.Suave who said it’s not worth it to give up remote work for higher pay.

Big Update

I spoke to my Nashville wing on the phone yesterday. Turns out, he’d be totally down to room with me in Miami after a year or so.

As much as Nashville has my heart, it might make a lot of sense to just go hard in Nashville this year then move to Miami.

If I had a roommate, I absolutely make enough money right now to live comfortably down there.
I dunno, according to some sosuavers, you're supposed to fix yourself and forget all about moving ;)

This is true.

I’m glad this thread opened my eyes to the fact that you can get reliable used cars for so cheap. I was thinking I’d need more like $12K in the bank or so

Relocations don't solve dating problems in most cases. There is a situation where relocations can make a difference. It is a similar situation to the one @nicksaiz65 is facing right now. A relocation from a smaller town (under 150,000 population) to someplace larger (150,000+) can solve dating problems. The biggest problem in smaller areas is a lack of options. The area where @nicksaiz65 lives right now is under 150,000 population and

Nashville
The main reason that I like Nashville for you longer term is that you have a history of living in Tennessee. That can help for social circle introductions at some point in life. In Miami, you're just another transplant with no connections to the area. Even if you stay in Miami for 5-10 years, you're probably not going to get into the good Miami social circles as a transplant to Miami in his late 20s.

You could have social circle options if you stayed in Tennessee based on your past and present in Tennessee.

Relocations solve location problems in almost all cases.

I disagree. Plenty of men move from one larger area to another larger area within the USA all the time and still have dating problems.

This is where OLD can help. You can scope out the local talent before you move and compare it to your present talent base. OLD is usually indicative of the women who live in a place irl.

How many men actually do this?

I have no idea but it's not very difficult to change your location. It's also good for trying out openers too.

If men have built empires for women, it's comparatively easy to press a button on a phone interface.

I meant that it solves location problems, not dating problems. There is more to life than dating, that was my point.

Women will drain your finances. I am dating every other weekend and a couple days during the week. I’m in a relationship that I care about so I know it comes with it, but believe me it’s a massive financial difference.

Advice from the old lady:

Go to Nashville. Yesterday. You work remote so you are not tethered geographically. That’s good. Look on Craigslist for a room share situation. They exist.

You might get hit with fees though if you break your lease, but do the cost analysis. Get on Craigslist and go to the “Housing Wanted” section. Put an ad up that you are a computer professional with a stable job who does not smoke, has no pets, and is quiet and responsible. See who responds to you.

When I divorced I was living in a very small Midwest town. Great for marrieds & families, awful for singles. This is exactly what I did to find housing in the major metro where I now live. I posted in Craigslist Housing Wanted. A family from Detroit reached out to me and although I never met them I resided in their very nice second home for 2 years, fully furnished, all bills paid, and the 4 or 5 times a year they needed the house? It was holidays mainly where I’d be away to be with family anyway. I’d park my car at a friends place for a week and because I was flexible I got a 4 bed 2.5 bath house in an affluent area with a pool for 30% of rents in that area. I couldn’t use the garage (they had a car that was parked there) and it was a sweet deal.

I found the next place I lived the same way, and got into a roommate situation in a 2.5M house in an exclusive area where I had my own bedroom, en suite, private entrance, doors to the pool/jacuzzi and my own garage for my car. All bills paid, fraction of rents in the area. Lived there 2 years, saved a ton.

So be creative & see what you find.

Also, you can get a solid car for under 5K. Do that. Get a Honda or Toyota or Volvo. They run forever. My fiancé drives a 20 year old Honda. He paid 4K for it. It’s super reliable and has almost 300K miles. Our garage is kinda funny. His Millionaire Next Door car next to my Dave Ramsey would kill us exotic. We don’t care.

Cost it out & go to Nashville. Then you can go out as you please and be available to pick up additional gigs too.

You are wasting time and money where you are. The school loans can wait. Optimize the rest of your life and then get back to debt service.

Another Big Moving Update

So, I hung out with a friend of a friend today. He’d be willing to room with me in Nashville(once both of our leases expire.)

That’s a good option too.

I’d still have a year to prep for both game and my body. (As well as continuing to work and get my money right.) So I could live my dream of just having a revolving door of girls.

But the thing is, I’d feel like sh*t for leaving my wing hanging to dry, especially after he’s allowed me to crash at his place countless times.

Either way I’ll be getting laid, it’s just something to think about.

Yeah these women drain your wallet man. The pursuit of women drains your wallet lol. It’s a necessary evil tho so I just decided I would make more money to offset it

Although, no matter which way this swings, it seems that I’ll be out of this small town and comfortable financially with my current income. I’ll also have a roommate, which is fine.

Once I get driving again, I’ll be able to go meet women every single weekend again while still saving money to get financially comfortable and fund the move. That’s already a W, honestly. Once I can do that, the amount of pvssy I’m getting should remain unchanged.

Wanted to go on a bit of a tangent real quick as well…

Here’s one thing I’m wondering, though. My eventual dream is to travel to a different big city every weekend for game to just have a surplus of options.

Does it make sense to move back to a small town to do that and make it financially easier to achieve? (This would mean I’m gaming every single weekend like I’m doing now.)

Or, do I just need to be making so much money that I can do that all from the big city?

Basically, was wondering if I should say eff the whole small town thing for the rest of my life after I achieve my big move.

@nicksaiz65

you are thinking too short term. Making solid decisions involves thinking longer term. Sit down with a sheet of paper and write out where you want to be and what you want to be doing five years from now. Where do you want to be for your career? What do you want to have accomplished? How much money do you want to reasonably earn with your skill set and putting in hard work? Thinking long term like is the only way you can make good day to day and week to week to decisions.

I think you are spending too much time pursuing pleasure and pussie, not enough time pursuing purpose. Pursuing pussie is fun and it will always be there. But, purpose needs to be central. Pleasure should be peripheral.
