Nashville for white girls, Miami for latinas and Atlanta for black girls depending on your preference
This is true.

My ultimate dream is to be able to travel around as much as I’d like. To be like “This weekend I want to bang Nashville girls. Next week, Atlanta. Then Miami the next next weekend. Then New York the next next next weekend.”

That dream will take a lot of time effort and money, but I think it’s attainable.

EDIT: Honorable mention to Chicago

The $80k income is awesome at 26.

It is better to live in Nashville than live in a smaller town an hour away from Nashville. Areas with under 150,000 in population don't make sense for men who are 25+ and not in a multi-year LTR with their high school or college sweetheart. Men who find themselves single after age 25 need to be a bigger metro area.

If you wanted a longer term relationship, you'd have a difficult time getting it. No woman in Nashville is going to commute 1 hour outside of the city to have an extended relationship. She has way too many options within Nashville to consider that. Also, your small town is a challenge for finding LTRs in that town and also living a player lifestyle in a small town doesn't work. You've been doing the most viable thing you can given the situation, which is only getting one night stands and casual sex in the nearby bigger city.

Longer term, the best play is to be in Nashville or some other larger city.

If you were in Nashville, you could keep your current job and commute to the smaller town. You might not even need to commute 5 days a week.

You need your own car as soon as possible.

I spoke to a lot of this in the preceding text block. There is a danger in moving to a small town after "settling down". A lot of relationships fail so that means the man is likely to eventually need to move back to the bigger cities or end up fighting it out as an older guy in a smaller town. Neither situation is good, especially if he ends up as a single dad.

In most cities, women expect men to have their own place and not have roommates once they turn 30. After turning 30, the only places in the USA where roommates are considered acceptable are the expensive Northeast or West Coast cities. While a 30 year old man is less penalized for having roommates in Los Angeles than Houston, the 30 year old man in Los Angeles is better off for having his own place.

Your seduction goals matter more. You're also spending a lot on hotel and transportation costs in order to try to get your penis wet in a bigger city.
You know, now that I think about it, I want to say that it was Roosh who put me onto traveling to bigger cities while I work on the move.

He says in his book Game “If you live in a small town, travel to a bigger one on weekends.”

Never ever lease a car bad move.
I’ve looked into leasing a car longer term and by all intents and purposes it seems to be a scam. I agree with Dave Ramsey on this one.

I’m renting every other weekend from Hertz or Enterprise at the moment so that I can still go out and game while preparing for my move.

Btw, the customer service at the Enterprise branch in my small town is fvcking atrocious. Even though it’s slightly cheaper than Hertz, I’ll be renting through Hertz from now on so I don’t have to deal with those people lol.

dude in Madison wi you can buy a car for 4grand easily. Nissan, Honda and chevy. Cars are plentiful anyways. find something within your budget. I drive a Honda fit not a chick magnet but still decent though.
Yo, that’s crazy. Where do you look to get a decent car for 4K? That’s like exactly what I need right now.

Either way, my play is to keep saving up money so that once I do find the car I have the leverage to just drop for it in cash.

I have about $35,000 in debt right now, primarily coming from school. So would you recommend that I eliminate those debts before I move to a city with better logistics? Or should I just go ahead and “maximize my time” and move to the big city after the car and emergency fund are complete?

___

Hopefully I can find a reliable used car once I have $12,000 cash saved up. Of course, I’m going to drive it to hell and back so maybe it’s better to get an even cheaper one than that? I’ll see, the main thing is just that I have the cash to replace it if something goes wrong on hand.
I was going to write a screed about how the debt is the emergency, but then I re-read that it's from school. If it's a student loan at a very low interest rate, it's not as big of a deal, but my move would still be to pay it off as quickly as possible. (Unless Uncle Sam cancels it - ha.) If you borrowed at a high rate, over 8 per cent maybe, definitely eliminate the debt as it's costing you a lot annually that could otherwise be saved. (I've always looked at it like if I have 12k saved and 10k in debt, I really have 2k saved - if I pay the debt today.)

For me if I needed the car for work that's one thing but otherwise I'd wait or buy very cheap. Yes life is to be lived but you're already doing fine without a car (didn't you just almost bang two in one night?).

Also yeah I think you could find a cheaper one. My parents' Honda from 20 years ago still runs great and has only needed a new battery once - no other repairs. I'm guessing it'd be worth 5k at most. Not the sexiest option but something you can rely on not breaking down in the middle of Tennessee at night.

Advice from the old lady:

Go to Nashville. Yesterday. You work remote so you are not tethered geographically. That’s good. Look on Craigslist for a room share situation. They exist.

You might get hit with fees though if you break your lease, but do the cost analysis. Get on Craigslist and go to the “Housing Wanted” section. Put an ad up that you are a computer professional with a stable job who does not smoke, has no pets, and is quiet and responsible. See who responds to you.

When I divorced I was living in a very small Midwest town. Great for marrieds & families, awful for singles. This is exactly what I did to find housing in the major metro where I now live. I posted in Craigslist Housing Wanted. A family from Detroit reached out to me and although I never met them I resided in their very nice second home for 2 years, fully furnished, all bills paid, and the 4 or 5 times a year they needed the house? It was holidays mainly where I’d be away to be with family anyway. I’d park my car at a friends place for a week and because I was flexible I got a 4 bed 2.5 bath house in an affluent area with a pool for 30% of rents in that area. I couldn’t use the garage (they had a car that was parked there) and it was a sweet deal.

I found the next place I lived the same way, and got into a roommate situation in a 2.5M house in an exclusive area where I had my own bedroom, en suite, private entrance, doors to the pool/jacuzzi and my own garage for my car. All bills paid, fraction of rents in the area. Lived there 2 years, saved a ton.

So be creative & see what you find.

Also, you can get a solid car for under 5K. Do that. Get a Honda or Toyota or Volvo. They run forever. My fiancé drives a 20 year old Honda. He paid 4K for it. It’s super reliable and has almost 300K miles. Our garage is kinda funny. His Millionaire Next Door car next to my Dave Ramsey would kill us exotic. We don’t care.

Cost it out & go to Nashville. Then you can go out as you please and be available to pick up additional gigs too.

You are wasting time and money where you are. The school loans can wait. Optimize the rest of your life and then get back to debt service.

Definitely. After I get this living/logistics situation sorted and I have a financial base to stand on, this debt has gots to go. It will literally hold me back and impair my dreams lol.

The main reason I wanted to get a car ASAP is so that I can reduce my costs associated with gaming. It’s true that these costs are completely covered by my side hustle. But if I were to have a car of my own, then instead of giving those $500 or so each month to Hertz, I could have that money work for me. It could go to my savings to build a financial base so I’m in a good position to shoot at debt once I move. Or, it could even go directly towards paying down those debts. Or even better, I could afford to go out and game more, which lets me meet more women while prepping for the big move.

Thanks for reminding me of that. Tbh, I think I’m doing fine overall too. And yeah, that was a crazy night haha.

That is one advantage of where I’m at. I’m able to function and do fine for myself without a car. For groceries, I do InstaCart once a week. If I need something suddenly, there’s a grocery store within walking distance, about a mile away. (I could use the extra steps anyways.) I work remote, and the office is literally 2/3 of a mile away if I wanted to go in. I can walk to my side hustle. Worst case, I can Uber if I need to be somewhere. Additionally, I’m renting the cars occasionally for game or if I need to be somewhere far. Worst case, I’ve even ridden the bus or taken Uber to Nashville when I fvcked up and forgot to book the rental in advance. I’d rather not if possible though. Long story short, I’m still able to get around.

The fact that I could get a cheap reliable car in the neighborhood of 5K is a game changer. That’s all I need. With my recently boosted income(and the fact that I’m highly considering picking up some extra shifts on the weekends that I’m not gaming) having a financial base to stand on and having this move completed seems very realistic.

After that, shooting at debt would be easy. Even if I were kind of balling out, I think I could get rid of my student debt within two years.

This is going to SUCK once summer hits. Get that car now bro. Also, if you can speak Spanish, the best ads on FB Marketplace for cars are the ones written in Spanish (might have to travel for the purchase). There's about a 15%-20% discount for these cars over comparable ones with English ads.

Oh, you mean because of the heat?

This is actually what I used to do when I was in summer school. I’d make that walk from my dorm to the store nearly every day. It did get pretty hot some days though lol.

And yeah I agree, step one/priority numero uno in this plan is just keeping my debt accounts active while putting away as much money as humanly possible towards a car fund. (While gaming, it’s not acceptable to totally stop meeting women even while saving)

I took several Spanish courses in the past but I’m so rusty now. Might not be a bad idea to brush up though, tbh.

Big Update

I spoke to my Nashville wing on the phone yesterday. Turns out, he’d be totally down to room with me in Miami after a year or so.

As much as Nashville has my heart, it might make a lot of sense to just go hard in Nashville this year then move to Miami.

If I had a roommate, I absolutely make enough money right now to live comfortably down there.

I would recommend keeping your current job and moving to Nashville.

Miami is a hard mating environment. Also, you mentioned that you are not Spanish fluent. Miami is best when you are Hispanic/Spanish fluent.

Honestly I relish in the challenge… my lease doesn’t expire until next September(2024) so I’d have a full year and three months to get my money and body right, all the while crushing it in Nashville over that time frame. I think I mentioned this earlier, but I’d like to set a goal of 10 new lays by the time that lease expires. That would bring my count to 25, which I think is an awesome place to start from.

That gives me adequate time to practice my Spanish too. Computer wise, I’d need to continue improving my skills so that when the time is right I can jump into a higher paying job.

Now even with all that said, there’s a 0% chance I’m going to be trying to jump into a new company with all this stuff going on. I just need to be in a routine, and focus on making money and holding down the job I currently have by doing an excellent job at it. The same goes for the side hustle.
