Hey Demonpenz,
Good for you to sticking to your self-improvement plan! I know you've gotten lots of tips and you might be sick of them, but I'll add my 2 1/2 cents anyway. I will DEFINITELY not say that I'm an expert but I've read a LOT of material from people that are....
Get the book "The Primal Blueprint" by Mark Sisson. It's a slight variation on the Paleo diets out there. It's VERY straightforward and it makes a lot of sense. You never feel hungry, and you never work out to excess. But you WILL have to give up anything processed, including all wheat, sugar and starches, although you can have an indulgence here and there so you don't fall off the wagon. You just live like we've evolved to over the last 2 million years. Common sense. It also explains how we should exercise, based on evolution. I can send an electronic version to you if you like. Or go to his website: marksdailyapple.com
Beyond that....
For a beautiful SCIENTIFIC explanation for weight loss/gain and how we got to where we are today, read:
"Why We Get Fat" by Gary Taubes. It will forever change how you view Conventional Wisdom about weight loss.
Also "Wheat Belly"
"Grain Brain"
"Deep Nutrition: Why Your Genes Need Traditional Food"
"Eat Fat, Lose Fat"
"Engineering the Alpha"
"Primal Body, Primal Mind"
I can actually send you copies of all these books if you like.
Also try and get the movies:
"Fat Head" (very entertaining and informative)
"In Search of the Perfect Human Diet"
Basically, eat lots of natural protein and fat and get your carbs from vegetables and some fruit. Stay away from anything that comes in any kind of wrapper.
I started living this way 2 years ago and have lost at least 25 lbs of fat and gained plenty of muscle without ever depriving myself or feeling hungry. BTW I'm 6'4" and 195lbs with single digit body fat percentage.
I also only work out 20 minutes day, 5 days a week. Short, intense sessions of weights and interval sprint cardio combined with lots of walking (when I can).
Anyway, don't take my word for it. Read the books and watch the movies if you can.
And keep up the good work!
