wow, i was only like 3hours away and what do i see - not only lovely lifeforce has posted something but there is a real discussion going on keep it comming men!!

i swear to god i will never do widowmaker sets again i dont question the big benefit of them it's just that i dont wanna throw some days of my life because of very severe headache in the garbage just because of a little bit better muscle development!! i wont sacrifice my head for lifting.


im thinking if i should rather do like 10reps on the squats like alex suggested or if i keep doing what im currently doing and that is going slow on the negative movement to increase the TUT - i heard this is the best for muscle growth. i agree with you guys concept - always try to increase reps, effort(same reps but slower or same reps but better form) or weight.

lifeforce - true! on the squat im more careful nowadays but on the deadlift im so ambitious that im hasty like a little child!! the pain has gotten away a little bit it only hurts a lil bit now not much.

silverwex - thats because i train my upper body way longer than legs. you sound confident my friend, nothing against a little bit friendly competition. but i dont let my azz easily kicked!!

did you try eating more carbs prior to your widowmaker workouts?

reason is, sometimes when I dont get enough carbs before my workout (fridge empty etc), after a HIT workout I get a headache too. but when I eat perfectly (which is 98% of the time), i dont have any probs.

i did eat more carbs before my leg workout today like you suggested - but well im scared to death that i will live another 2 miserable weeks if i try the widowmakers again.

Like I said.. widowmakers aren't NECESSARY, they're just another (rather drastic) way of training quads.

And I wouldn't do the same type of widowmaker each workout either.

I cycle through free squats, hack squats and leg press for my quad exercises and so only do a free squat widowmaker every two weeks for example.

heh, talking about high rep widowmakers and such... over at IA's board, they had a deadlift challenge this last month.

250 for as many reps as possible in 5 minutes. That was some brutal shyt.

winner was 2Scoot w/ 92 reps.

No i wasnt being ****y/confident Im just happy that im lifting the same as someone else on this board (instead of lifting less all the time!) :p

Gotta work my arms harder tho as theyre lagging behind...

If i throw in an extra 3 sets of dips on, say, leg day (fri) and continue to do em on tricep day (mon) will i get stronger or will it work against me?

semag thats indeed some brutal stuff!


silver - dunno man maybe your dips will get better with this approach or maybe you will overtrain. i suggest you do dips twice a week and nothing else for tricpes/chest/shoulders(maybe 2sets of benchpress). im only talking about giving it a try if it will give you better results than your current routine. but alex will probably disagree strictly with my methods and i admit i dont know **** about what is the best method, my experience is very limited.


i could barely sleep because of my lower back pain but now im well off again!!

Holy ****! 93 reps.

Good workout there double you are improving alot! I like your chin-ups, they have gone alot stronger from 5 lbs to 10 kg.

holy **** i was so confused today that i did plan my workout totatlly wrong lol! my excuse is i only got 2hours of sleep because it was too hot to sleep, then in the early morning it was cold enough but construction workers wake me up.


did eat nothing before workout.......
....so i was very hungry and did eat a big vanille ice while working out, which made me a bit sick while chinning up lol. then after workout i had no time for a protein dextrose shake and did only drink like 0,5litre fanta! holy ****!

chinups 8x+10kg, 5x+10,4x+10
dips 8x+10kg slow,5x+10,3x+10

speedy cg dbp

sz biceps curls 30kg 5xvery slow

next workout gotta do some new records!

Double - don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with your methods mate, if they're working for you!

Silverwex - for triceps, I think you should stretch them post-workout if you're going to be doing them twice a week. This is a DC 'extreme stretch', which improves recovery immensely and lets you train more often than you'd normally be able to.

Sit on a bench, get a heavy dumbbell, lift your arm up and put the weight behind your head as if you would do a one-arm dumbbell overhead press, but instead of doing the press, lean your the back of your head back on the weight and try to push it down. The combination of the heavy weight and your pushing should really fry your triceps - hold this for 60 seconds although it's painful (or at least it should be), I think it'll help you a lot.

oh man double, i know how you feel on the crazy ass headaches now, although mine left me after about 10-15 mins

I was doin my widowmaker squat, and lost it on rep 16. After fallin to the floor for like a couple secs to get my breath, i had a bud help me throw the weight back up on the rack so i could finish up my last two. I pumped them out, and my head was pounding like a motherfukker.... it was insane.

silver, ok here we go. i was over at my mates village for one of these german "street beer partys" where everyone goes in the summertime. before it went out i downed a huge yummy vanille whey shake. my equipment was 3 bottles of lactose free milk for growing some muscles while partying, 4 bottles of bavarian beer for warm up and clothes my brandnew black wifebeater shirt and urban style army trouser. i had 4 bifis in my trouser for an occasional snack. his parents sponsored some grill meat and stuff, so i was drinking and nonstop eating meat and vegetables for some hours. feminist gf of a mate gave me compliments about my looks so i decided to drop the hate and all the gender war bull**** preached on this site and just focus on a fun time with her(but still wouldnt want to be in a relationship with her:p). ok i was already drunken at this moment but still i think it's a pearl of wisdom!

two guys i only knew from seeing were entertaining me, telling me jokes and stuff. before we headed out i was taking a shower and then styling my hair. then i heard my mates sister(the one who rejected me in the other story haha) and her friend talking in the other room, so i went over. the sister asked if i could flex for her friend because she thinks im sooo hot. being generous as i am i gave her the favour and hit a side chest then a single biceps pose letting her touch my arm, she was heavily giggling, almost fainting from all the hyperventilating. the game was on, after the sister left us alone she was asking me in which im room im going to sleep and stuff. shutting down my rational mind and letting my d1ck speak for me i told her to come over after the party(she was fat).

then everyone grabbed a new beer and we headed to the party. the girl kept on gaming me with a nuclear weapon arsenal using compliments, rapport, kino, buying me beer, giving me cigarettes. she made me really drunk lol, i was too drunken to do anything worthy to write, only thing i remember is me doing a monologue about the importance of leg training to some guy lol. somewhen i lead her away from the crowd and kissed her this was the first kiss i initiated ever!

the way back to the home was really cool, we were lots of very drunken people, throwing each other into the bush and stuff, all i can say is the leg training paid off! then i kicked one of these reflectors on the side of the street out of his anker and used it to get 3 more of them, me having two, my mate one and the girl one. i fought against them like in american gladiators that was really fun. then we started hitting the street laterns out, some didnt go out, the one i hit didnt go out so someone made a wiseazz remark that i only look strong.:rolleyes: i hit against it till the reflector was demolished, take that you fool. the girl was trying to qualify to me and hit out a laterne with all her force, she was successful but it did leave a bloody cut on her arm, that you have from challenging me! me and my mate took out a big and heavy iron thing out of the ground, but the light of the house next to it did go on, so my mate gave it to me and run away, me doing a badazz farmers walk with it! my legs were so sore next day i couldnt workout lol.

back at my mates house we drunk some more. then everbody but my mate went to sleep, so she said she goes to sleep, after smoking a cigarette with my mate i went over and restarted making out with her. when we both were half naked the two guys who were missing arrived so we need to get the clothes back on, and starting again from ground zero rofl. she put on the LMR she never did that and she doesnt want only a ONS......i said i cant promise you marriage but it wont be thing for only one night(thinking about hitting it twice;) )....she asked if it was okay if we dont have sex this night, i responded it is okay if you try hard to please me. so she did go down on me. somehow she doesnt want to take her panties of but wanted me to eat her out after that so i was like wtf this dont work and put on my clothes again and started drinking and smoking with the boys again.

when we finally slept skinny guy, the girl and me slept in one bed. skinny guy was sleeping at the edge pressed against the wall, i took up a lot of space so he accidantly "hit" me one time and was all sorry and stuff lol. funny thing is i was frightened of him and one of his friends in the past because he made fun of me(but AFAIK only the friend, not him). after one hour of sleep i was so hungry and woke up, plundering the fridge and eating all yogurts. i write some more later must go workout now

lol good story.

getting drunk is such a laugh! i do it nearly every fri and EVERY sat night! i couldnt live without socialising! and it hasnt messed with my training in ANY way. best of both worlds!

my workout today was so bad i wont even post it, i will try again tomorrow.


well i dont know how it actually hurts my muscle growth but i try to keep it rare. when i go clubbing, watching movies or bowling i drink little to nothing. but parties are a whole other game for me. they are often pretty stupid and boring without drinking but big fun with drinking =)


the story is everything other than DJ-role model but as strange as it sounds im proud of it. i need to get my way up and make new experiences and break out of my old life and i will do anything im able to do to achieve it. as mind-over-matter said when i want it badly enough i will make my way to the top. "Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit." so i will fight till the end.

in the next two weeks there will be some exciting events like school reunion, probably one week vacation and meeting up with the girl who brought me to sosuave after almost 2years, im very excited about it we have so many things in common. so, hopefully some new story material =)

haha... dude that was the best story I've read in months! Man o man I really laughed at the part about leg training. GREAT work with the initiating there, making progress all the time dude.

It reminded me about a guy who talked to me when we were out partying.. he talked to me trying to instruct me on how to workout. He said he hadn't been in a gym for two years and when he did he only trained his upper body... lol... my mates who all are die hard all body trainers all talked him down. Then we had another beer and all was well.

I hope you have another juciy story to tell us.

well i dont know if it is that good....you know i didnt really have success so i feel more like a frustrated confused angry along with some positive emotions...i dont know what to do, fearing being played again.....if i would have girls here it would be all cool but so....i made a thread about it maybe you can take a look, it isnt that important, but it's just that i have no idea what to do
