I think that's true too. Especially on the dating sites that are messaged based like POF or Match. If you message them it's best when they're online to catch them. If you message them and they're offline for 4 days it's unlikely they will scroll 5 pages back and your message won't be marked read because you got 45 other guys ahead of you.

Tinder had an ELO rating (they changed the name) that you were assigned based on his attractive you were to others (more right swipes => higher ELO). So the higher your ELO, the further at the top your profile went. Rich get richer.

Female height filters are insane. Do you know what percentage of the population is 6'5"? In fairness they're likely so high in order to combat men lying about their height. If women know "6'0"" translates to 5'10", they'll adjust their filters accordingly.

Interesting. How long have you had your account? And do you bother liking their profiles or do you just rely on them liking yours? Last Q, how often do you get "roses" ? I would assume getting those regularly indicate you're in the top 10%, especially if you're a guy.

I have strong filters on and I rarely like their profiles, I just go off ones that like mine first since they're stronger "leads". Quality over quantity sort of thing. Oddly enough having strong filters on (age, distance) seems to force the women outside of your filters to be more attractive. No idea if that's by design or what.

That's why I may add six inches to my height when I try OLD again.

Honestly most women have terrible visuo-spatial awareness anyway. Most of themprobably cannot accurately estimate what 6 inches or 6 ft look like. I'm a hair over 6' but maybe I'll have to put 6'1 or 6'2.

What explains tinder after a couple of days when it lets you photo verify your profile you suddenly get a bunch of likes.

I get matches here and there, but not alot at all.

My main theory is, women know they are the gatekeepers to sex and a "7" woman has alot more dating leverage than a 7 man? A HB 7 to 7.5 on Bumble , etc is probably only swiping right on Tyler Kinney or Matthew Mcconnaugey look alikes?

I used 3 of those sites for years and never had any luck until I employed methods I learned in The Rational Male and from a few PUA youtube channels on my profiles: specific types of photos, profile desriptions, etc. I finally met 2 chicks from tinder and managed to fool around with one for a while (the other was a drunken turnoff). I know absolutely nothing about OLD. But I think it's interesting that they used to say that you had to be top 10-20% to succeed at dating, period. Of course PUA gurus used to tell you that all you had to be top 20% was to know their secret knowledge and *poof* you were top 20%.
