Any successful long term relationships that were a result of the girl making the first move and approaching the guy first?

agree. same here.

our very biology dictates this. estrogen is by nature not an "active" hormone it is "passive"

a girl who initiates the courtship is signaling to a mans hindbrain that she is not to be trusted if access to her ovaries comes that easily.

all our sexual behavior is rooted in evo-bio
So you enjoy challenges? Even if she looked lime a hooters girl?

I won't speak for all guys, but I will say that I personally do not like being asked out by a chick--no matter how hot she is.

If she's an "8" and asks me out, she becomes a "6."

I like to pursue. I like to pick the restaurant. That's the "man's" job. The only thing I expect in return is good company--look hot and offer good conversation,
One has to be careful to avoid drawing any far-reaching conclusions from the above most. Though some men think that way, most do not. IMO, feeling emasculated when a chick approaches you or picks the restaurant is a sure sign of deep-seated insecurity and doubts about one's masculinity and self-worth.

The fact of the matter is, the more successful, desirable and attractive you are, the more likely it is that women will chase you. The only guys who never get chased by women and do all the chasing themselves are bottom of the barrel, unattractive, low social status men. To put in bluntly, who are you more likely to find at a bar trying to pick up girls: George Clooney or Joe The Plumber?

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

it has nothing to do with emasculation or insecurity. i highly suggest you read up a little on male/female hormones and their functions. Man fux woman. it has been this way since the beggining. we can bang away all day and night with different women but a woman can only have ONE baby at a time so she must make it count. thats WHY men initiate courtship and ultimately SHE decides if he is worthy.
Please spare me the pop science. Yeah man fvcks woman..so what? Ever heard the expression "b!tch in heat"? An ovulating female will go out of her way to get fvcked. Do you honestly think that our prehistoric ancestors were courting women? Between hunting, gathering, defending against enemy tribes and basically spending 24/7 trying to survive, there wasn't much time for courtship.

MidnightCity said:
it doesnt matter if a guy is a famous celeb or an average Joe. clooney is still very much expected (and does) initiate any courtship he will find worth pursuing. average joe can give any famous celeb a run for his money if his game is tight enough + he has his own social proof. there are beautiful women in every social caste
What in the world are you talking about? Guys like Clooney don't do sh!t to court women...they have girls literally throwing themselves at them. Their MANAGERS or PA's pre-screen chicks who want to fvck them and then arrange for those chicks to be driven to their hotel. That's how it works for movie stars, rock stars, oil barons, Russian oligarchs and other men at the top of the food chain. Chasing is for those who have nothing. Men who get pvssy in abundance don't chase.

Just an update: so he messaged me back saying he can't see me this week because his too busy but asked me to see him for lunch next week. So I take it this a good sign? My only problem is my mother wants to come with me to see cos she wants to catch up with him.... how do I get her not to come as I think it'd be awkward to talk to him properly with my mom around

This has to be a troll. Who would let their mom tag along on a date? I also don't know of anybody that would ask advice on how to "get your mom not to come". How about you say this? say "Hey mom, I don't want you to come". Problem solved.

 You actually believe that? Technically you might be courting a chick, but men with limitations will be doing a lot more courting than men who don't.

Exactly. I get hit on by chicks and it doesn't bother me one bit. Doesn't lower their value in my eyes. As long as they are hot and want to bang, then I'm in.

yes. most celebrities get laid off their social proof/merits more than anything, not their game. you are perputating the false myth that fame or wealth > game it is not go ask someone like Rollo if doctors get cheated on with pool boys or if J Lo doesnt fuk her backup dancers

again, you are confusing a girls high interest as her "chasing" you. we are talking about a girl asking for the date and taking the mans role, not just in showing high interest.
Why should asking out and approaching solely be the mans role? What's wrong with whoever is interested?

Yes, and the first part is what Bokanovsky and I are telling you. You don't know what type of game celebrities have. That is only your own false myth and opinion that they have no game. Bode Miller got his wife through game. There is no false myth. Chicks will take a celebrity over an average joe. Do you think they want to fvck the pool man or a big time star they are infatuated over?

That depends on what average joe you're talking about. What the average joe looks like. Of course women cheat on their men. But they are not going to downgrade and cheat with some slob. The dude has to look physically better than who she already has. To insinuate that any clown can wak into a bar and pick up chicks over a celebrity is pretty funny.

No, I'm not confusing anything. Because after they show their high interest and give me their number, some will text and say "When are we going to hang out?" or "We should hang out". High interest chicks are not afraid to suggest a date with a dude she likes.

Nothing. Some guys read too much, don't know what they are talking about, have limited experience, or prefer the "old school" way. Chicks who are DTF will initiate and I wonder if these same dudes would get turned off by that LOL

A false myth? Is this guy for real? Are you trying to tell me that a 5 ft tall janitor with "game" could ever have as much success with women as an A-list celebrity?

The whole "game trumps everything" argument is a fantasy...kind of like the "American Dream" or "Scout Oath". Sure, game is important and can improve your success with women but it's not a panacea. It compliments your looks, status and wealth but does not supplant them.

even though too many people argue and say it goes against the natural order of things for a woman to pursue a man, make the first move and initiate things, i feel this is why it can and should be socially acceptable for a woman to initiate, here is why:

"Yes, in the animal world almost all species have a male initiated courtship. But not all - for example with the South African clawed frog it is often the female who calls out that her eggs are ready and sings a duet with the male to draw him to her.

Given that (most) humans are an order of magnitude more intelligent than any frog, I think we can - if we concentrate - move beyond the male initiated courtship tradition to a more equal and less patronising dating culture."

I got that quote from somewhere and i thought that dude nailed it, but yes at the same time i'm not gonna be passive and hold my breath because obviously 95 percent or more of women are stubbornly old-fashioned.

It's amazing that in this day and age there are men especially here on Sosuave who choose to live in the past or as Samuel L. Jackson stated in Robocop, "...whose feet are firmly rooted in the past" (phew! such a powerful statement) Anyway, these guys have refused to accept that times have changed. That as much as they want to view women as just being there to cook, Fvck them, have their babies that women's roles in today's society have evolved whether you agree with it or not.
It seems the easiest way for them to comfort these denials in themselves is by equating us to animals. These same animals also happen to be our ancestors. Yet, here they are using the internet and not being congruent to shed their clothing and run into the forest and live like an animal. Yet can't be animal enough to go forcefully take the next woman that comes across his path. Our ancestors are animals yet our ancestors (apes) keep giving birth to apes in 2014. Oh the foolishness, SMH!
Sure we as human share some traits with animals (giving birth, breast feeding etc). Still we also share certain traits with plants (need for water, sunlight etc) Yet we are not plants. With this kind of thinking it's no wonder someone can wake up and casually go to the mall and commit mass murder. After all those victims are just animals. Perhaps when this tragedies strike we should just shrug and go back to eating our meal. Yet we choose to have anniversaries for those tragedies. Maybe it's because we are not just animals huh?
Back to the original post of this thread. While I will agree that different guys like to have different roles in the male and female dynamic. There's NOTHING wrong with a woman making the first move. As with most things it is the HOW that matters. The HOW is why you elect the same politicians you later hate etc. Quit looking at life as black and white. It is not. It is men like you who see black and white that go on to destroy countries when they come into power. To add to the hypocrisy I'm sure if Gisele Bundchen and the Adriana Limas were to throw themselves at you. You'd cast your policies aside and still bang them. Stop believing your BS. We live in 2014 America of all places. Wake up and accept the reality of today.
