Hey benny... I wanted to give you my experience with shelling out a little dough (not a lot) for some supps and the reason I think they helped.

When I first did a cutting diet, I read DIESEL's guide lotsa times, and went to a nutrition store, and bought a couple things he mentioned in there. Some whey, CLA, a fat burner, multivatiman... prolly dropped like 50 bucks or so. I'm pretty tight with my money, as in, when I loan a friend a dollar, I write it down on a piece of paper and put it in my wallet... ready to collect 6 months later :D

Anyway... here's what i found worked with me. Because I had a monetary investment in my program, I was more determined to stick to all of my plans. I ran, went to the gym, and stuck to my diet because if I didn't, I was throwing 50 bucks down the toilet.

I don't think the supps helped too much (besides the whey and the multivitamin), but the pure motivation they inspired in me was worth the money I spent on them.

Just a thought for some people, if you have some trouble with motivation or something. And if it doesn't work, you're only down a few bucks, some pride, and some supps ;)

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Yeah - I thought of doing that but I realised my motivation comes from watching strongmen competition, BB events and such like. When that doesnt work, I head into town and count the amuont of out-of-shape people that I see along one street. Then I remind myself that if I dont jog the 3-4 miles back to my place, I'll look like one of them ;)

It's a good idea if you struggle with motivation though - shame I didnt read this before I went out, I should have got more whey :p

The main problem with suppliments around here is the price. Just to get decent creatine and whey we're talking about 80 quid - which is close to $150 :\ Granted it'd probably last me for 2-3 months if I stretch it - but thats a hell of a lot of cash for a student who's about to be between jobs ;)
